Easiest zipper bag tutorial I have ever watched! Thank you, Anissa!!! ❤❤❤
Great video. No interfacing..love it. lol thank you for your video
Great video. I teach sewing to a 10 year old and 11 year old each Saturday. I will use this video with them next week! Thanks
I always use a lightweight fusible fleece (Pellon 987) on each main fabric piece for a little more body. Or even a lighter weight fusible fleece sometimes…both work well.
Thank you, I was just looking for a simple but detailed tutorial - without tabs and without removing the pull (complicated!) And thanks for attaching the zipper in one go.
Fantastic love it going to make one for my sister for her birthday thanks for sharing the video love sandra xx
Wal-Mart also has single zippers for under $2 if you just need one. Great video simple and easy to follow. Good job!
Great instructions, Anisa.
Thank you, Barbara 😊
I have always put my zipper upside down on the material, so worth seeing what you have done on yours. Mind you I put the outside fabric on the bottom the the zip then lining face down and sew. Will try your suggestion. Thanks for sharing,
Would you at any time also add a backing to the main piece for padding?
Best tutorial I've seen 🎉🎉🎉
Thank you! 😊
Very pretty thank you so much for sharing
Very cute pouch. Thank you for posting!
Thanks, I'm gonna try making today.
Love this, will make great stocking stuffers; ordered zippers; will new ready to rock and sew.
Thanks 😊 beautifully demonstrated . Beautiful fabrics . Thanks for sharing .👍
I LOVE your shirt. The Child is one of my favorites ❤
I've made several things out of fabric with him on it.
Thank you! He is one of my favorites too! 😊 My mom got the shirt for me. ❤️
Absolutely beautiful..thank you for sharing
Tfs this tutorial. This bag could be very handy . And great for using up fabrics. 🙏💜👍🏻🇦🇺
I'm in Australia 🇦🇺 too😊
@@AussieMumVLOGS yay ..gday. 🇦🇺
7:22 This is a very good tutorial so far 😊
Adorable!
Thats a very adorable pouch !! I liked the fabric too.
Clear video and great explanation!!
Thanks.
I love this little pouch, I always like red and navy blue together and the bike fabric is really cute. Thanks Anneasa julie Tasmania Australia. ❤️
I love this little pouch :)
Love it❤! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Esther
Cute little bag, I wish you showed when you were clipping the whole bag together how you laid the zipper with the clips..
Made this at home and it turned out so nice!
You have my same little metal box of clips!!!
Thank you ❤🇦🇺
Hello, when you sewed round the whole bag was the zipper folded over or laid out flat when you sewed over it? That’s what I needed a closer look at…when both sides are put together the zipper naturally folds in do you sew it like that or try to get it flat…?
I let my zipper fall to the side that it is naturally towards. The only time I flatten is if I am working with Faux leather or vinyl. 🙂
12:54 Hi, what seam allowance did u use? Also did you use interfacing
9:41 Hi with top stitch are you still using zipper foot? 😊
6:06 Do we need seam allowance
Its Perfect 🎉 great tutorial im subscribing, which interface to buy 16:56
Thank you so much for this video, it is so helpful!!! I do have one question. When you get to the point where you sew the whole bag around. Do you fold tbe zipper in half, I was a little stuck there. Its so bulky for tbe needle to go over so I wasn't quite sure what to do there.
Hi, love your video! Looks so easy. Where did you get the cute zipper pull? Made the bag extra special.
I use 1/4" quilters tape to hold the zipper onto the fabric. Works great and no clips in the way.
I will try that next time. Thank you for the tip. 😊
The tape I bought never stuck. Can't get a refund either .
Namstea 🙏 sister I am from nepal
Someone yelled Chris, I had to rewind because I’m home alone and wondered if I was imagining things!
Hello
Which sewing machine are you using in this video? Thank you
I am using my Janome 9400 QCP in this video. It’s a beautiful machine. ❤️
Anisa, please tell me, what is the tool @ 14:15 minutes, that you used to push out the corners of the pouch?
Also, where did you get it from?
A shame I you didn't include the link to your zipper pulls.
I purchased them from Amazon and they should be listed in my Amazon store.
can you please show us the lacey zippers
Love this! Would a quilted bag be easy to make this way as well?
Hi Esther- Yes it would. Just make sure you quilt before adding the lining.
@@TheCraftyAuthor thank you!!!
Hi Anisa...haven't seen you recently. Is everything ok?
Love your videos.
Hi Barbara,
Thank you for checking in on me. 😊 I am doing okay. My mom had surgery and so I’ve been helping her and then I ended up getting sick. I’m better now and will begin posting again this week. 🥰
@@TheCraftyAuthor great to hear from you. Looking forward to your videos and seeing your new sewing space. Sorry to hear about your mom's surgery. Hope she is well.❤
4:50 Hi did you use interfacing? Why do people use it or dont use it? Im a newbie and have only opened my machine
She did not use interfacing . Without interfacing the two cotton fabrics make a very soft flimsy bag , no structure. I personally will quilt my outer fabric and not interface the lining. I like my outer fabric interfaced or quilted for stability and body. I do feel that if you do not interface the outer piece totally to iron a one 1.5 inch wide strip of interfacing across the top to stabilize the portion where you are going to sew the zipper. If unlined pieces are too limp the zipper fabric might be too heavy and cause some gentle buckling. Experiment . There are so many ways to make these bags and several different zipper applications. The type of bag that you sew depends on what you are going to use it for or give as a gift . You can make one without a lining .

Noted. Thank you for letting me know. 😊
It would have saved a lot if stress if you had showed the way you sew the outside some when you stitch over the ends of the zipper. You really didn't show or talk about how that is done correctly.
Thank you for your kind words. Have a nice day 😊
