Your paperclip idea is genius. I noticed so many UA-cam crafters making their own spin on this idea. The possibilities are endless really. Thank you for sharing your talents
I can’t believe my feed after your paperclip video. Everyone jumped on it. As a kid, we made these felt and hand stitched hidden hair clips and I swear I saved them somewhere. When I saw your original video, I got excited! easier than felted hand stitched ones! I hunted down boxes of paperclips to just create these and now perhaps some like this video. I needed something I could do without committing to a whole journal yet, and that I could do sitting at the couch due to my health. I adore your papers inside your journals with damask and wallpaper type prints. I am not sure you are printing them or buying them. This sheet captivated me I would love the same one. ❤️ I have very little 12”x12” and they are ugly and too thick for paperclips.
@@canadianjaneoriginal I would love to see the hair clips if you uncover one. The sheet I used in this video had one of my prints on one side (the blue pattern available here: www.etsy.com/listing/1378694842/) and the other side came out of a "paper studio" paper pack pack available from Hobby Lobby I think. Hope you have fun creating these with whatever paper you choose!
Felt very proud for you getting so many mentions on other maker's channels, especially as those paperclips were so well thought out and explained. Brilliant, well done!
Genius! I watched your original altered paper clip video the other day. Since then, I’ve been on a rampage making them! Nooooow I need to make all of these too!😂 Thank you for sharing your fabulous ideas… aaand inspiring me to create a gazillion altered paper clips!❤️
First, I’m glad I found you Ms. Spark bird. I spoke with you on, I think, Paper Outpost a week or two ago, and just now found you after looking for every kind of bird in UA-cam! I took one look at this video and signed up immediately. Gee sound like the military. Then I started follow the trail of paper clips through several Paper Clip Artists until I eventually tracked down the mysterious(to me anyway) Ms. E. It sort of felt like one of those mystery whodunnit games on the Internet. And I have a felling the trail will lead on. Ok, this was a windy way of saying that it’s been a very entertaining way of spending the evening. I do hope you ladies don’t mind a mostly watcher.I’m having to keep my feet higher than my heart for a while, which makes it a little difficult. But by the time I’m recovered, I’ll be ready to begin my world teaching tour from all I’ve learned on UA-cam. I’ll try not to be this obnoxious all the time. I’m mostly much quieter. So blessings and health to all of y’all and yours.🙏🏻🖖🏻🤭 Ps This is one of the reasons I don’t comment much📣📣📣🤐
Hah! This comment will be THE highlight of my day for certain! I'm so glad we've been able to captivate you with paperclips. I personally never imagined the little curly pieces of metal would play such a central role in my life. But here we are. I will be the first in line for your tour. Hope you find yourself more vertical soon! Thanks for hunting me down... 🐦
Your a woman after my own heart! I’m watching you do pretty much everything I also do.. one I took the pin out and didn’t realize it took the cap as well. I had glue all over the place.
I'm a late convert to your paper clip cover engineering, and I love it! I'm so glad I found you. I was watching TracieFox's paper clip slip covers video and someone mentioned you in the comments. So now I'm a subscriber. And I love Algebra. Calculus even more!! But I do use algebra a lot more often than I ever thought I would in daily life.
I just finished filming (not posted yet) a #JJMassMakeMarch on my channel using your original paper clip technique. I love your ideas. Thanks so much for sharing!
You’re the OG and I just found you! Note to Self: Write it down, take a pic. I should’ve dropped what I said as doing when I heard about your artistic clips rather than going a circuitous route of backtracking. Lesson learned, it was Pam at Paper Outpost where she mentioned you. Now that I’m here I’m loving it! Binge-watching you, new subby from Pennsylvania. ❤️
These are absolutely adorable. I am definitely going to make for my current journal. I am new subscriber, Miss E suggested your channel and boy I am glad she did. Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent. Hugs!
I love your adorable pocket clips but I'm so sorry that I wasn't more clear! No need for a 12' x 12" sheet... any scraps work well! But, I can't say I'm sorry as I love seeing how you used that full sized sheet 😊
These are adorable. The little clips you used to close the one with the pictures. What are those called? I’ve been searching all over for them. Thanks for the video.
You're welcome. Those clips are Tim Holtz Index Clips, unfortunately I think they're unavailable except maybe through odd channels or perhaps Ebay? Here's what to look for: www.amazon.com/Tim-Holtz-Idea-ology-Approximately-TH93574/dp/B06X14Z8L3
For this I used the Canon Pixma TS9521C - the "C" stands for crafters and will do 12x12 (plus all other standard size) printing. I really love the 12x12 feature since I can use all of the papers I'd otherwise have no use for by printing on the backs.
Generally any standard text weight paper will work, even the very thin Hobby Lobby Print Studio packs. I wouldn't go too thick as the paper (for this project) as the paper gets folded so many times. But I've also printed on 65# cover at that size for other projects
@@sparkbirdstudios I switched to a Canon Megatank last year, but it's not a wide format. I'm beginning to look forward to designing digital scrapbook paper, and I think I'll want to see it printed on a 12x12 before I release it. I don't want to go back to cartridge. Thanks for some paper info.
with me its bring out a needle and my eyes stop working, I go cross eyed and everything goes blurry. I used to pride myself on how easy I used to be able to thread a needle 😂
