Hi Alex - great review I just haven’t got the wrist size to pull this monster off. Such a great review and icon. I’m considering a IWC portofino chrono with the slightly modded valjoux 7750 movement. Any thoughts on this movement? The dark blue and rose dial is calling me. Any feedback would be appreciated. I’m guessing one advantage is that getting this piece serviced away from IWC makes it cheaper.
Hey Bobby, I would highly suggest the IWC blue on rose for sure. Actually send me an email as I may be able to help you on a special price for that watch.
@@PerpetualTimeLtd thanks for the quick fire reply. I’ll ping you an email once I’ve had the chance to follow up with a closer look at an AD. Have a great rest of the weekend.
@@PerpetualTimeLtd you've got his muscles and most importantly big wrists like him to pull off wearing this beast of a watch. Sadly I have just 16.5cm wrists so it looks a bit clownish on me.
Nice Tag Heur chrono plus GMT function it has everything 😳 , what do you think about the crown isn’t screw down and have 200 WR is it safe to use it in ocean like snorkelling or just take some drops of rain ? Have got myself push and pull crown watch cosc certified calibre with 100 meters WR is it safety to take it to the pool? Wish you still make live’s with Oisín and you explaining those fire questions 🔥😉 All the best for you Alex
Thank you for your question. It always makes me feel rather nervous using a watch under water that isn't screwed down crown however I would use this Tag when diving making sure the watch has been pressure tested prior to using at depths.
@@PerpetualTimeLtd thank you for your reply, rather not use it for swim 😉, as I said better prevention than after have a “nervous break down” have true divers din certified with real diving (not that I go those hundreds of meters diving just few swimming time and maybe snorkelling 🤿 or water sports! Have a great Easter 🐣 weekend Mr Alex! Just one more question , I’ve got a Valjoux 7750 ( calibre 688 in aLongines ) the watch is ok do you think it needs any kind of adjustment ? Was bought new at AD 2016 should I take this” brick” work horse for adjustment etc? Or just leave it like it is Alex ? Obrigado from Portugal 🇵🇹
@@PerpetualTimeLtd I am with ya! I feel like if you are going to get a big pilot you have to go with the original big boy. However, would be nice to have some versatility and I think the 43 could provide that. lol first world problems.
Don’t know what crap shirts people wear but I don’t have any issues with wearing thick watches like this, with a proper English dress shirt with double cuffs. Even bond wears a thick omega with a shirt / tux
Rerly seen and rarely heard honesty and sincerity ! And a very nice review at that !
@@MrVoayer Thank you so much for watching 👀
There’s so much to like about this watch, I mean look at it! Just mega. Thanks for the review Alex, hope you’re well.👍🏻
You need to wear the watch further up and not on your joint. Then you won’t have a problem with the winder
Fantastic review Alex, keep up the good work 👏
Thank you Dee 👍
Just subscribed…Love the BIG pilot! Awesome review.
that was a fantastic review. Two thumbs up. Its my dream watch too.
Thank you for watching John 👍

Nice fair review 👍
Thanks Ian
Nice video, however rating the movement down due to it being in-house is strange to me.
Thank you for your feedback 👌
that's really strange.
Thanks for the review Macho Man Randy Savage! Very thorough.
I actually had to Google who that was and has brought back memories 😂😂

@@ronniep9272 Hi Ronnie, Can I ask have you tried one on?
@@PerpetualTimeLtd yes I have, I guess it works OK in the winter when I wear full sleeve jumpers but i couldn't pull it off with a t shirt.
I love IWC, I have 8.5 inch wrists and the size for me would be perfect although that crown might be the only downside. Great review Alex.
Thanks for the comments Mark ☺️

does the crown poke your skin when you are wearing it?
It can do.
Would you ever sell the watch ?
I do actually have it for sale 👌
