The quality is finally right up there now too. I think that is a huge difference that they are actually reliable now. I think it is also why more and more people go for them over other exotics.
I disagree, because I think Porsche took a nosedive in quality and durability with their latest generation cars. Too much plastic on the outside, cheap and gross-looking black piano trim on the inside, replacing Porsche-engineered cupholder with Big Gulp size one for American customers, I can go on. And don't get me started on the Taycan, with its entire instrument cluster replaced by creaky plastic panels seemingly copied from a washing machine.

Since when does black piano trim look cheap? Not even going to argue about the cupholder thing because who cares? The Taycan has one of the best looking and most responsive instrument clusters and infotainment so I don't know what you mean by that? I'm not sure if the back of the digital dash is plastic or not, but why would you be feeling that anyways? Porsche quality is known to be far more superior than their competitors. Alway less plastic and more quality materials overall. Classic guy on the internet hating on something just to hate.🤣

What about Porsche 911 from 993 model generation for example...?? These cars are still almost immaculate nowadays. You won't find cars from other sports carmakers, which have this amount of quality.
Porsche is the only carmaker, which has made cars 30 years ago, which feel still fresh nowadays and are totally up to date with modern sports cars, even with better quality.

Porsche is the best car manufacturer for sports cars period..
While every other car brand is looking for more speed while loosing emotions porsche still puts emotions and feel above all but still having incredibly powerful cars for thier HP numbers

Finde vom Sound er hat er auch das, was der GT4 RS hat - man will in die letzten 1.000 u/min "reindrehen". Natürlich nicht annähernd so krass, aber ist so belohnend, wenn sich der Sound da nochmal ändert. Finde die GTS füllen ne super Nische zwischen den normalen und "richtigen" GT-Modellen, hätte ich das Geld was niemals der Fall sein wird, würde ich jederzeit einen GTS nehmen. Aber du sagst es ja selbst 🙂

den wagen habe ich an der hansa straße in dresden live vor ca. 2 wochen gesehen. stand da gerade an der ampel als fahrschüler auf einem motorrad. als ich den blauen porsche zum porsche zentrum abbiegen sah, war ich kurz abgelenkt und träumte auch mal sowas zu fahren. dann hörte ich die stimme des fahrlehrers im ohr warum ich nicht losfahre.... die ampel war schon grün und ich träumte weiter😂 so ein geiles auto und es sieht in echt viel besser aus als im video😍

That's already more performance than I would ever need. This spec feels just right for the 911 range. I think I would go with a manual transmission considering how fast it is.

I don't think there is better gearbox than modern PDKs. I mean this is probably the most intelligent gearbox calibration I've ever seen. I don't think you need paddles to change gears since you will always be worse than the automatic.

not really a hot take anymore but yes the gts is faster than a gt3 in everyday non track situations. even the previous 991.2 was faster. Its just has more usable torque in everyday driving situations and probably is the perfect sports car if you could only choose one. of course, give me the gt3 for my weekend/track car.
Also dependent on where u live. UK roads are absolutely crap - riddled with potholes. A gt3 here would be unlovable as a daily and probably painful even ad a weekend only.

What is the main difference(s) between the GTS and the GT3?
I mean, we don't need to talk about the RS models but the two mentioned above are confusing and maybe even way too similar.
The gt3 has a beautiful 😻 naturally asperated flat 6 engine that sounds and screams all the way to 9000rpm with RWD only. Gts has turbos with a boring engine sound but with AWD and RWD. The gt3 gets a lightweight PDK transmission with 7 speeds while the gts gets 8 speed PDK that’s more fuel economical. The gt3 has a double wish bone 🦴 suspension while the gts does not. I forget the rest

sehr schönes Fahrzeug in dieser Ausstattung dem GT3 zum verwechseln ähnlich, gemessen an der Nennleistung bietet er schon sehr gute Fahrleistungen, der Sound von außen gleicht aber irgenwie einem heißen Fön, da höre ich nichts kerniges mehr raus... schade aber wir wissen ja alle wo die Ursache liegt...
I have 3,21 0-100 in a 991.2 gts, and best 100-200 7,8 sec, 400 m 11.09 seconds. With a 991.2 4 gts with “only” 450 hp. So 0 improvment over 992!
some 992 gts launch gets around 2.9
@@etiennenapoleone1868 not even one is going 2.9, they do 2.9 0-60 mph with rollout. So is 3,3 seconds!

@@bentleygucci beside the brakes that are miles away. I only feel a heavier car and a bigger car. Nothing better in it. Also the quality of the materials is down. I don’t see any improvment. Maybe Gt3 992 vs 991.2 is a big improvment.
Nein der GT3 ist längsdynamich nicht langsamer, als der GTS. Beim GT3 hattest du 0-100 3.7 mit leichten Traktionsproblemen und 100-200 7.8. Ergibt 11.5 0-200. Beim GT3 kommt es denke ich darauf an wie gut die im Futter stehen, denn die Sauger streuen gen mal nach unten, die Turbos eher nach oben
Autotopnl hat 100-200 7,65sec gemessen ohne Theke hinten.
Wirklich beeindruckend für "nur" 480 PS.
@@nikolausulreich1547 Ok, dann ist er ohne Theke nicht langsamer, als der GT3. Beim GTS würde ich immer Software machen dann geht er richtig gut
Ich glaube am Ende ist der GTS schneller, gerade wenn man bedenkt, dass wir hier 36-38 Grad hatten UND, dass wir noch den Allrad hatten….als 2WD Coupé sollten mittlere 7er Zeiten realistisch sein.
@@Automann-TV Ja, kann gut hinkommen. Als 4WD gibts den GTS leider nicht mit 90 Liter Tank. Das wäre für mich ein wichtiges Extra.

Yikes. Lots of heavy options with the moonroof, AWD, and 18-way seats. I like the deviated stitching though.
I wonder how it would look with the wing same color as the body, also side skirts and the black portion at the rear?
I will let you know soon and post a video. Hopefully will be taking delivery of mine in the next few weeks, in Shark Blue with Aerokit but without the Gloss Black highlights. 👍🏼

The 992 GT3 you got from Carvia did a 7.8s 100-200km/h with 0% slope. Therefore, the GT3 is actually faster than the Turbo charged 992 4GTS
Yes, btw with this 992 gts Turbo you can increase a lot the performance just along an ecu remap

I just got my allocation and I can't decide if I do the Aero Kit or not. On one hand I don't want my car looking like a fake GT3, but the car does look nice with it. I go back and forth. I'm also a little concerned about the painted front lip, even though I'd for sure get the front axle lift.
It is easy to decide, dude.
go with aero if you going to track the car. if you keep the car on the road, no need for the kit technically. and third... if you just considering because of others who might think it is a fake GT3... take the aero kit.

It'll go to dinner, groceries, shopping, the movie theater, etc. Yeah, I'm not buying it for other people but I can't decide what I think. I want it to be a GTS, not a GTS thinking it's something else, and I can't decide if an Aero Kit still keeps the GTSs identity.

Go with the Aero Kit tbh. It looks awesome in person. The wing on the GT3 (and RS) is way different, so no one will think it's a fake GT3, especially since it's like that from factory. In my history with Porsche's there were only a couple of garage entries from friends and family where I needed the lift (991.2 RS), so I guess if your driveway is not that steep, you don't need it honestly. But that's up to you and I guess you know better where you usually go than I do.
@@zuffweiss Thanks. I live in Florida so there are a lot of high entries because places like gas stations are often built up high in order to have their tanks installed and so forth, but I'd get the lift. Funny how a flat state has such steep driveways lol.
GT3 did 3,78 seconds 0-100 and 11,6 seconds 0-200 on your video from september of 2021, so GT3 is slightly faster 100-200 than this GTS.
Yes and the GT3 can do 0-100 in 3.4 so its not right that a turboengie with the same amount of horsepower is faster
@@Question.Authority Yeah, but this GTS will always have the advantage on lauch because of his all wheel drive compared to GT3's rear wheels only. Still, both are great cars and awesome at what they do. You want a track car - get the GT3 if you can, you want an everyday car that you can take to the track - get the GTS.

Have watched a lot of launch races against the GT3 even the RS and the GTS beats the GT3 every time. Until the corners then its game over for the GTS. Tho still on the road GTS is faster all round.

Sorry to ask how this GTS is a "HUGE step UP from the 992 Carrera S"? I have a 2020 Porsche C2S and on our Dragy we measured a 0-60mph at 3.09 sec with a high temperature of 63 degrees outside here in Orlando Florida in February and a 1/4 mile at 10.96 sec at 125.76 sec on Shitty Pirelli ZERO tires out of the dealership.
Then we got a GIAC Stage One Tune, Fabspeed high flow Cats, and a Akropvic Exhaust and on only 93 Oct. fuel. Now our 0-60 sec were 2.87 sec with a 1/4 mile at 10.51 sec at 131 MPH at 54 degrees, and a DA on Dragy of 433ft. So, I ask again where is the "HUGH step UP" to the GTS???

No it's not faster than the gt3. The gt3 in your own video did 0 to 100 in 3,38 sec. and 100 to 200 in 7,48 sec.
Little tune and IPD plenum, knocks 1.5 sec off and you dust the GT3. Nearly as engaging as the GT3 in 99% of real-world driving situations, if not more, and has a usable back seat. Unless you absolutely need that 9,000 rpm redline, I'd take one of these.

Das ist falsch was du sagst. In deinen Videos fährt der GT3 7,8s 100-200 und ist somit schneller als der GTS. und 0-200 ist der GT3 nur 0,2s langsamer und nicht 1,5s
Korrekt;) Hab’s mir auch nochmal angeschaut. Wobei wir den GTS hier bei bei 38 Grad getestet haben. Und, ein 2WD GTS Coupé wäre vergleichbarer. Also unterm Strich schneller als ein GT3.
