Check out our new web-app to control any Micro:Bit robot via bluetooth. You can find the LOFI Control Micro:Bit app here: cardboard.lofirobot.com/microbit-control-app-info/ Control you robot with onscreen gamepad on touchscreen or keyboard arrow keys on desktop. It is a Progressive Web App so you can use it in the browser or install on your device. The app works with: - Windows and MacOS laptops in Chrome - Android - Chromebooks
This is so brilliant! I've been looking for a project exactly like this since 2016! And at last I've found it! Thank you for sharing. Will be trying this out at my school from September 2024 and will make videos to show you how we get on.
Coding tutorials ate comming soon (next month) by now if you plan to use microbit search for some documentation how to control servo motors with this board
Hey Tracy. I am working on this app to communicate with MB via bluetooth. If you have more microbits on hang it is very easy to make one a wireless controller over radio to another microbit. Anyway Coding tutorials comming next month.
Hey Michael. It is actually a web app I am developing. It is online at lofi-apps.web.app/ It works on desktop (Chrome) and Android. It wont work on iOS however as it still does not support web-bluetooth. To connect you have to upload this firmware to micro:bit: www.lofirobot.com/files/lofi_firmware.hex But please note that it is work in progress. The controller works good enough on desktop (you can use arrow keys on keyboard). But on mobile it gets huge lag, don`t know why.
@@CARDBOARD_ROBOTScan you help me code it so that there's a second micro:bit on top and it will detect the sun and if not in sun will move into an outwards spiral until it's in the sun again
Great projects! Thank you 👍🏻 Because I want to build this robot with my students (13 years), I would like to know if the code has to be written in Python. I think it would be nice to see how to code otherwise it‘s „just“ the building process.
No, purpose of this design is to be the simpliest vehicle possible. Also this microbit adapter has only three ports, only one left for sensor so notbenough for regular line follower.
Hey, I am working on a bluetooth control app for desktop and Android to use with this robot. Will publish it in few weeks with sample code for each robots

Hey Gunzi. I am working on coding tutorials for all of the robots. Do you plan to do it with micro:bit or maybe some other microcontroller?
@@CARDBOARD_ROBOTS I want to do it with micro:bit. At the moment we have only V1, but I plan to buy V2 asap

It is a BBC Micro:Bit board with a Elekfreaks Ring:Bit v2 adapter
@@CARDBOARD_ROBOTS thanks I wasn't able to find that one in india but I an using Arduino adapter... is it fine ? Should I progress?
Of course. Any microcontroller that can drive a servo will do. You would only have to modify the car dimensions to fit the Arduino.
