very welome Pete
Very nice work my friend
Keep going
Love the videos. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for watching.
I love this! It's very similar to how I patch my own ears but I never thought to use leather shavings; it makes sense as it won't break down or crack like other materials would and I imagine it blends better with the rest of the leather too!
Im glad you found the video useful.
Can you do an video of how you do your waterfowl blue foam bodys and how you do all the measurements that you place on the Decoy for your wires.
I have made a video of carving a body. Soon I will edit it and post it up here.

Thanks for taking the time to do your videos Ben always helpful. Please could I ask who's earliners and size you've found work well with Red stags struggled to find one I'm happy with end up sticking with bindo but hate the smell in large amounts. Thanks a lot
You are welcome Gary. I’m glad you enjoy the video. They don’t make ear liners specifically for red stag. You will need to use white tail ear liners , some will fit and some will need a bit trimming.
Very nice job! What kind of adhesive do you use in the ears?
super glue to repair, and Ear adhesive by Wesco for earliners. you can use bondo or even 30Min epoxy,, which basically thats what this ear adhesive is anyway.
Thank you. I have used bondo for years and recently switched over to Pro 1 hide paste. I have heard that magic smooth could be used and that kind of looked similar to what you had. I’m always up for trying new and better ways. Your videos help out tremendously!!
Also, do you have a vid on removing the ear cartlige?
No I don’t think I have that covered.. I will keep that in mind.
You may have answered this in some other vids. But what kind of clay are you using? Where do you get? Is it self hardening?
It is just a regular water base potters clay. It’s just a reddish colour. I picked a big bunch up from our local pottery store.
Where did you get the earliners from? I am trying to track down a mold. Cheers
I order most of my supplies from McKenzie taxidermy. They sell WT earliners for red stag. It fits the same.
