This is pretty much how I started playing guitar in the 80s... I got started on The Ventures but quickly devolved into proto-punk and punk rock. I'm not as fast as I used to be, and I've learned a few things in these last few years. Thank you
Perfect lesson! We are doing a Dead Moon cover show next week where there is a lot of downpicking. You ever heard Dead Moon? Legendary No-Fi garage legends from Portland. Not exactly a guitar god band, but there is so much soul and energy in it!
Curious if all the muting is in the right hand or a combination? Looks like Adrian is holding the chord down steady but not sure. I'm doing these daily challenges on an acoustic and hard to get that dry scratchy sound without using both hands to mute.
still here, still challenged by my lack of accuracy in yesterdays lesson. This one is also proving difficult not to turn into a stampede in faster speeds .. slowly, slowly catchy monkey
Could someone Please tell me where I can buy Adrians glasses frames. Im in Australia, theres only ugly stuff in the shops. Please share with me Adrian.
I need to work on this as well (as well as the way I strum). A tip I got from a punk channel is to hold the guitar lower down which makes faster strumming easier.
Checking in for Day 6 🫡 I’ve been learning to play some faster punk/noise rock lately so this lesson came at the right time!
Adrian Ramone!
Can't wait my challenge of the day! 😊
Very nice lesson ! Thank you for sharing !
Thanks, Adrian!
Very Nice! For nice slow groove "My Bests Friends Girlfriend" by The Cars, has a fun down picking riff!😁
I heard The Cars instantly in the lesson.
these are coming thick and fast

Thanks. If by chance you are looking for subject matter, flying pinky and fingers in general would be a good one.

This lesson was a little more my speed 😉 at 150 BPM anyways… I couldn’t quite keep up at 200. Somethin’ else to work on! Day 6 ☑️
Done - compared to yesterday that was easy!

Yeah for chugging like this all the muting is in the right hand.
@@nstrug I can't get this muting technique down 😤
Yo, Adrian! I like that shirt but 6 days?! 😅
Is that a staytrem bridge or the stock bridge?
I have practiced that exercise for some years.

Does anyone recognized what that metronome app is?

Great exercise…that’s always even a problem for me. Once I seem to start to make progress, I end up tossing my pick across the room! Any suggestions??
superglue? :)

And also looks cooler!
@@matthewtyler-jones8317 Perhaps, but it's harder to play solos.
