Because graphics are a marketting gimic now and no longer a stylistic choice.
Make the game look pretty in trailers to sell pre orders. Nothing else matters

We've streamlined the process by making the game generate everything, and there are no real artists working like they used to. Maybe for the models and the set pieces, but in the end, they let everything be handled by the graphics engine so they can focus on other things.

Please continue making these! I know it can become kinda jank when doing this bc sometimes the off camera elements can be removed or changed so it doesn't look as pretty. But still, this is awesome.

This works way better than it should, the end needs some cleaning up, but otherwise, damn. This would've seriously changed the tone of ODST if every cut scene was 1st person like this.

I was thinking about what this fight would be like in first person POV just last night (recently finished a playthrough on Legendary).
PS:
I expected a better look at that one NMPD cop with a BR75 who got launched by the Chieftain's hammer. Poor guy.
