I'm so saddened to say I believe the father, Paul, passed away after a battle with cancer. I saw it mentioned in a comment on one of these videos. I too came here looking for help with my sofa and I was simply taken by these two. They touched my heart in some way and my sympathies go out to their family and loved ones. ... I'm wondering if the business continues to operate. Does anyone know?
My Ethan Allen leather sofa has three cushions with zippers across the back of each one. It looks like I probably have to access the zippers from the bottom some how. Do I still measure these types of cushions like in the video? I did unzip one cushion and see a pad on top and thick foam below the pad. Thanks for the great videos guys very helpful!

I'm 6'5" 265 lbs. and I am looking to refurbish my sofa with a very firm seating to deal with some back issues. My sofa has three (3) seat and three (3) back cushions. All cushions are equipped with zippers which should make replacing the foam easy...I think?? What foam would you suggest for the seat & backs cushions ?? I'm so serious about finding a solution to this firmness problem that I'm considering re-stablizing the sofa internal "zig-zag" springs with jute webbing.
Love your videos! I am making back cushions (not throw pillows) from scratch for a daybed. Do you recommend a foam insert with a Dacron wrap or the shredded foam filler encased in Dacron? Thanks!

I am currently in the process of replacing foam in a thrifted chair. The cushion covers had to be removed for a more thorough cleaning and the foam had degraded over the years. Can the cushion size be measured without putting the degraded and disintegrating foam back in?

I would like to have some advice (apologies to me for my poor English, to type correctly) : I want to remodel my very old couch, with a bed underneath. the problem is the back, very hard and it is an all-piece all along the back seat. I would like to have cervical support because it is too short and the head is not supported and I would have my low back in comfort. The back seat is very hard! How can I make it easy and comfortable? ciao, grazie!!
Hello and thank you for subscribing I appreciate it. That’s a big job to take on if you have done upholstery before. That’s a difficult question to answer on a comment page and not show you in person. That being said you need open the inside back. See how they made in the factory. Check does it have springs? Webbing or a fabric support. The foam IF IT HAS FOAM can be replaced with a softer foam. As for the lower area for your back support. You could add some extra padding running along the bottom. Put the support BEHIND THE FOAM NOT IN FRONT. This way it will be less noticeable that it bumps out at the bottom it will be a smooth feel and look. Put it in the support and sit and see if it’s comfortable BEFORE PUTTING THE FABRIC BACK ON. Make sense I hope. Please share the videos it helps us so much. Please send me pics if you can.
