The HD4 totally lost it on Man On Fire. Got all messed and bloated. That says it all. The 1855 remains one of the best speakers in its price and more. Not to mention the treble and bass controls that can be adjusted to make it a fairly neutral speaker if you wished. If you have seen the spinorama of the 1855 and how much the bass and treble knobs attenuate, you would know this is possible.
Iskreno ok je to što se čuju razlike u zvuku ali ovo putem youtube videa nije ni približno stvarnom zvuku zvučnika, danas slušao od prijatelja edifier r1700db i s obzirom da ga baš nisu hvalili čak ima i dosta dobar zvuk u odosu na cjenu. Tako da mislim da je tu 1855 daleko močniji i bolji zvuk uživo. peace and love
BTW i have just bought them. Can only recommend. They are NOT neutral sounding, a little bit more "musical", V-shaped. But in a good way. Compared to Edifier S2000MKIII better in every way for a similar price.
у R1855DB более насыщенный звук хотя и низкие больше гудят.. видимо твитер у Эдиков лучше.. у самого 1700BT только низов мало в остальном шикарные колонки

Any plans of comparing and contrasting thew new Q Acoustic's M20 with other active speakers? That speaker is generating a lot of buzz.

I use Hd4 with a good external DAC and is much better than before.

Hi, Does R1855DB save the setting like volume and input selection if you unplug it from the wall and return it back on?

Edifier by mile at least to my ears.
With the more crisp sound the Edifer will give you more ear fatigue. The Audioengine would be better for extended listening times.
These speakers are both non-revealing but the R1855DB is brighter in a good way.
