Enjoyed the video. Planning on this specific type to homestead with. And just think they would make the best companion garden duck. And keep them as pets . ❤
I've got 4 Runners raised with 2 Toulouse geese. The geese eat more grass. The ducks seem to be looking for bugs. High desert, bug heaven here. I'm in central Arizona, USA. I'll protect my ducks and geese. Under attack from my illegitimate government, coyotes, javalina {ROUS's) , cougars, and Bobcats . Got electric fence everywhere. 3 males, shouldn't they be Larry, Curly, and Moe?.
Watching them follow you is kind'a cute. Does the noise bother you though? Constant chatter would bother me. I'm guessing it becomes white noise after a while...
No, in fact one of our neighbours loves them so much she looks after them when we're out. They were quite noisy in this video because I was in the garden with them but they're generally quiet most of the time - they sleep a lot!
Brits and their orangeries-- lovely (Excuse me if not, I'm 'murican 🤠) I have a runner duck joining my flock, and watching videos with excited anticipation of their arrival Especially enjoyed seeing you running with them!
Thanks for the advice! This is quite an old video now, of course we've since learned that they're perfectly fine in the cold, even in the ice and snow. They're wild animals after all 😁
Great video! I'm curious about the chattiness of your runner ducks. Do you feel like their good neighbors? Have you had any concern with your nearby neighbors being bothered by their quacks? Thank you!
No complaints from the neighbours so far, our closest neighbour loves them. They're only really chatty when there's someone in the garden, usually they're pretty quiet.
I have 6 hens and 1 drake. They are a little noisy when being let out in the morning and like ReesRambles says, when there's someone in the garden because they want your attention or food lol. I live in a countryside village and no complaints yet but I do bribe my neighbours with the most delicious eggs lol
I was most certainly waiting for that. Nice comedy troupe you raised!
They are so, so, so cutes
3 boys! Gorgeous lads 😍
Thank you for sharing. This was wonderful! 🦆
Now this is the content the people want
Great to see I’ve two runner ducklings. In Ayrshire and a female mallard
Great, now my wife wants ducks ^^
They are pretty cute, though :)
They're beauties 😍😍😍

The chatter is only because they were excited, I work from home a lot and they rarely make any noise when they're on their own in the day. 🙂
You may want a lot of "girlfriends" for them
Yes, a ratio of 2 females to 1 male so 9 ducks in total! We've decided we'll just keep the 3 as pets and do without the eggs 😅
Do ducks have a pecking order?
Have you ever had any complaints from your neighbours?
