We rescued 4 Runner Ducks who were 6 months old back in 2021. I had watched basically every Runner Duck video out there on UA-cam at the time. Your video about the Runner Duck breed is honestly top-notch quality and packed with great info. One thing I would add about them, is that Runner Ducks can be really loud during the day or early morning in the spring and summer months. It doesn't bother me much (they're like a Duck alarm clock lol), but it really bothers my significant other. We would probably get a different breed if we were to do it over again. The 4 female Runners are about 5x louder than my 6 Buff Orphington hens. I'm curious whether the breeds of Runners crossed with Buff Orphington Ducks would be any quieter.
hey quack pro, in this video you say they are worm sensitive can you make a video of this that they have worms and how to treat them and if possible how to treat them so they will not have to be treated with medicine
Ducks usually start laying eggs at between 5 and 7 months. If they live in a high stress environment or are not getting the right nutrition that may cause them not to lay
Hi I have a Indian runner Duck name Skippy I just came across your video and I am interested if you can help me . Just recently two days ago he stopped walking, crawls like a baby, no broken bones in his legs that I can tell can’t stand on them you mentioned something about worms would this be the cause?? Any suggestions would be gladly appropriate thank you!!
Hi! It could be worms and it could also be a niacin deficiency in his diet. I would add some NutriDrench to his water and Brewer's Yeast to the food and see if that helps at all :)
You should be worming all of your ducks yearly. Before winter is best. You’re not gonna be able to see the worms so I’m not sure what you’re talking about that “you should look for worms”. All ducks and CHickens need to be wormed. Also be careful with using breed names , you should have been saying that they look like the color of a “insert breed name” But they can still look like a runner duck” they’re not 50-50 mix with a pecan duck and that’s what makes a white runner duck that just makes a mixed duck. Yes the colors might have been bred in them along time ago but they slowly worked with them to make them look like a runner duck again.
I just got a runner and then 2 pekin/runner mixes to add to my cayugas. What a riot. The straight runner cracks me up!!!! Absolutely love her.

The strongest ducks survive to be killed..... That's a conundrum
