  • This Wurlitzer 1400 was originally sold new in 1952 to the El Chico Cafe' in McAllen, Texas. It was used for two years, then new Wurlitzer Jukeboxes were introduced with one hundred selections. This jukebox was retired to a storage room until 1961. It was at that time sold to Jim Shumar of the U.S. Army. He kept it and moved to Orange County, California, where he took it apart and put in storage until 1969. On 01-11-2000 I purchased the jukebox somewhat still dissembled. At that time it had not been used for over thirty years. Now looks pretty good?
