This was great! I could here you. Very much liked that. You didn't do the strange noise when you opened the toilet, and there wasn't 2-3 extra people there to get in the way of the view of what we really want to see, which is the places you go. Thanks for the close-ups, you seem to just know what we want to see. Really enjoyed this one, Thanks again.
This house looked so carefully made with lovely fireplaces for 'heat' as it was, but insulation was unheard of when it was built. I am sad the roof is falling in, as it is charming place. Someone cleared it out well. I can imagine a man making this for his new bride once upon a time. The red surround and top of the sink cabinet was tidy and functional in it's day when people didn't expect a full fitted kitchen like we have now. That would have been newer than the house, an addition. The modern add ons meant it was lived in a long time.
One of my favorites, as far as the house itself. We have seen so many with all the clutter so it was neat that this one had been cleared out, although there's nothing to pilfer through. I was able to really just appreciate the house and try to imagine the way it was in all it's glory. Just love the house, the layout, the bare wood walls, fireplaces, stairs, etc. Wish I could see it in better days. No way I would go inside such a place alone, though! Hope you always stay safe. TFS!!
Beautiful example of Arts and Crafts architecture. So sad to see it derelict and the wonderful period furniture so damaged. You probably already know that glass molecules are less dense than other substances, so it settles over time and creates a wavy pattern. If left ling enough it would eventually kind of melt away out of the frame. So wavy glass is a good indication that it's original to the house and that the house is probably at least 100 years old. Good job!!!.Thanks for posting!!! The tubular item upstairs: Paint roller?
GREAT job Rick, I love the video's with both you, and Beka, but I have to say this is your best videoing yet! you took your time, and looked around, but I did miss the two of you comment on thing's. keep up the great work Rick!
Five exterior doors. Seems like a lot for a house that size. After watching these abandoned house vids, I look around my own home and wonder what it's going to look like in 60+ years. Just hoping when Rick and Bekah's grandkids explore it, the toilets are clean ;) Thanks for another great explore!
10:00 There is a date. It looks like DEC. 93 to me. Though I can't tell for sure. It looks like a well build building. No drywall or plaster in the whole place. Just boards nailed onto the frame work, and some 1970s wood-paneling on top of that in some parts.
good video- there is a sadness here though- family, kids or grandkids, house not abandoned all that long... place where people once laughed, celebrated birthdays, Christmas,,, now all gone.
One thing that is neat about these abandoned places is you get the witness how quirky people's designs can get. Like an AC or heater in front of a door.
I LIKED THIS VIDEO MUCH BETTER GUYS! Seemed lighting was somewhat better and filming was fantastic. Stayed w the narrator and where and what you are talking about is being filmed and csn be heard due to csmera being close enough. GREAT JOB!
Suggest that you carry camera if doing the narrating. I hv hard time hearing you when someone else filming due to distance and camera not on what you are describing most of the time. That why this video was so much better. It will make the quality of your vlogs much better. I heard you mention TN, i live in TN also, lol
That house is an Arts and Crafts Bungalow. Google that term for more examples. My parents owned one . Lots of storage and quite a few built in cabinets.
This looks like it was an awesome house in its heyday. I like the wood cabin design and fire places. Makes you wonder why places get abandoned, I.e, no kids to pass them along to or tragedy. One never knows, but I have so many in my family that things will be passed on generations to come. It certainly is sad to see these beautiful places rot to the ground 😖😞
I think the doorknob to that room was outside on the porch? I also love these type of old houses. There are a lot of them down here on the MS Gulf Coast.
An unusual mix: the house is simple and Spartan though the fittings such as doors and fireplaces, the built-in cabinet, the grating that was upstairs, the door lock you showed in close-up, are quite a bit more elaborate than the house they're in. Interesting that the hallway with the staircase is behind a front room and can be closed off by a door. My guess is that door you weren't able to reach on the first floor simply led to the back porch. Odd that there was so much space upstairs that doesn't seem to have been used for living quarters or, if it was used that way, doesn't seem to have been finished.
You turned off the breakers before you entered, so even if the power was on, it wouldn't have been when you threw the switch, also, you were looking something with a date, but you totally passed over the CD which had 8-13-?? written on it, but the year was covered, if you'd have uncovered it, it would have given you a better idea of the time period (90's I'd guess) the last time the place was occupied. Also, the attic wasn't ever occupied, there was no insulation on the ceilings, so it would be freezing in the winter. The yellow "balloon" thingy was part of a child's toy, basically plastic parts that chained together, toddlers play with them.
This may seem kina nit-picky but when the flips a switch a certain way it is a good idea to flip it back the way you found it because you never know if power is ever restored to a place or what were and tear it could cause by leaving it in that position.
It makes me so sad to see these houses go to ruin. There is so much that could be salvaged at the very least. These houses always look forlorn, they’re like living things almost and they need to be loved and lived in or they die.
Hey man great video, but when you went to the back pouch if you look you can see a hydro metro is taken out so you filpping the box on was never going to work, Just saying take your time and look around you might see these things lol Jeff from Ontario Canada
The stair post at the bottom of the stairs had some kind of writing on the top of it. I wished you would zoomed in on that to see what it said? That is what it looked like to me anyways.
The old house`s use to put there blue prints/floor planes in the newel posts at the bottom of the stairs. If you look at bottom of toilet lid you will find the date of toilet. next time....
I know this is old but isn't it scary filming all by yourself? I'd totally psyche myself out worrying that someone (or someThing ) was going to jump out of one of those doors!
Wonder why Bekah was not with Rick. In the videos I have seen she is either bored or uninterested about being in these places. Or both actually. I could be wrong though. At times she just sounds like she would rather be doing something else. I am not wanting to sound mean or hateful. It is just my opinion and such. Like I said I could be wrong and off base. Plus These people could travel long distances and she could just be sleepy or something. I do not know though. I do love the videos and how they will film things that no other urbex you tuber's would film. Stuff like cans on the shelf, cob webs, and other odd things in the home and around the property. If Bekah is sick then hurry up and get better. We need Bekah. Just hope these people stay safe and be cautious with everyone and everything that is around them.
In a pretty bad condition, floors gone, roof in bad way, needs demolishing. Nice comments about the place, annoying clicking scuffling sounds, do not scuffle with camera when videoing
And he brags that his trademark is old crappy toilets, saying they aren't going to change that. I'd say that isn't something kids or even most adults want to see. So he's a huge hypocrite saying he keeps it family orientated. Yeah...like Pee Wee Herman. It's a very sick fetish to have. That's why I only watch 4 U.S. explorers (they have more respect) the rest are in Europe. They all have good personalities. Better explores too.
Glad you are taking the time to metal detect some of these old places. You never know....Thanks for a good adventure..
I really loved that old house.
Too bad someone doesn't save it
Loved your metal detecting at the end. It gave a clue as to maybe a family with boys lived there.
This was great! I could here you. Very much liked that. Wow ! This old place is regal in its prime. High ceilings, tall Windows. Great find !
for your own safety always take someone with you...or pack some heat be safe love your videos.....great finds!

Haha awesome comment 😂

Yes definitely sad.
Ah! that's really cool. That door has both a skeleton key lock and a modern lock inside the other knob. That's amazing.
I really like the roof on that fireplace, especially if that metal thing was the cover.
One thing that is neat about these abandoned places is you get the witness how quirky people's designs can get. Like an AC or heater in front of a door.
Awesome episode bro, that toy gun was definitely a keeper....
Metal detecting must be pretty exciting when you find something, even something that is small.
It's definitely very exciting.
I LIKED THIS VIDEO MUCH BETTER GUYS! Seemed lighting was somewhat better and filming was fantastic. Stayed w the narrator and where and what you are talking about is being filmed and csn be heard due to csmera being close enough. GREAT JOB!
Thank you Cynthia, I was rolling solo on this particular day.

Nice job Rick! Enjoyed as always. 👍🏻😀
I like that balloon that was still intact. the coverings on the doors are awesome.
That house is an Arts and Crafts Bungalow. Google that term for more examples. My parents owned one . Lots of storage and quite a few built in cabinets.
Oh I haven't heard of that before. Thanks for the info
hi Rick and Bekah, I like your attention to detail and thank you for visiting some sites twice. how do you two find the abandoned places?
When we drive around going from place to place. They just appear. It's so easy. :)
Great video. A bit scary. Good detecting finds.
I think the doorknob to that room was outside on the porch? I also love these type of old houses. There are a lot of them down here on the MS Gulf Coast.
Super old light switch, I remember those in my High School in the 80s.
At least you didn't have to worry about rattlesnakes, since it's January, lol.
I like the mixture of modern and older stuff.
that kitchen cabinet is metal and from the 1940s the house is craftsman style from 1880- 1920
I like that you knocked before entering.
I was waiting for someone to say come on in...LOL

Thx for sharing your thoughts on this one.
Be Kah & Rick another great find . Be safe.
The ghost unlocked it for you 😂
Nice old house. Looks like someone was going to renovate it at one time.
John Laury haha, I was thinking the same thing.
The meter was pulled so there was no power.
MCMS ... Yeah, I noticed the meter too!
What brand of metal detector do you have? Recommendations? Thank you!
A mainly use my minelab etrac and then use the Tesoro compadre for trashy areas.
This may seem kina nit-picky but when the flips a switch a certain way it is a good idea to flip it back the way you found it because you never know if power is ever restored to a place or what were and tear it could cause by leaving it in that position.
All that beautiful woodwork. What a shame it will all rot away. The stairway too. Such a waste.
It makes me so sad to see these houses go to ruin. There is so much that could be salvaged at the very least. These houses always look forlorn, they’re like living things almost and they need to be loved and lived in or they die.
Nice show, listen l was just wondering if any of the home owners ever have asked you for royalties for showing their home ?
Your right that the open room where the roof collapsed is an attic. Some attic spaces were detached room connections.
Why did you guys knock on the Front Door. ???? Did you think a Guy was going to Answer the Door & Smile. Well thanks for Sharing this Abadoned Home.
Looks a lot like some of the houses off I-40 in Middle TN.
It's interesting to think there are many places that a locked up well and even look decent on the outside but have long been abandoned.
Hey man great video, but when you went to the back pouch if you look you can see a hydro metro is taken out so you filpping the box on was never going to work, Just saying take your time and look around you might see these things lol Jeff from Ontario Canada
Thx I just like to flip breakers. I always assume they won't work. :)
It would be funny if you accidentally cut off somebody's power and you heard someone scream "Hey!" from inside right after you flipped those switches.
We have freezing snow in UK which we call hailstones. Many thanks for sharing
You're welcome Jacky.
The stair post at the bottom of the stairs had some kind of writing on the top of it. I wished you would zoomed in on that to see what it said? That is what it looked like to me anyways.
13:29 - Looks almost like Edward's attic room from Edward Scissorhands.
I didn't notice water in the middle of the table like that. That is kinda neat.
It must be hard wok finding that stuff but thanks for showing us.
Recently in Tennessee it has been single digit for several days and even snowed.
Is it me or could that switch box be one of the first ever made?
At 9:21, is that a phone jack or Ethernet port? It kind of looks like both.
Pretty sure just rj11. Don't think this house was occupied when rj45 was invented.
Exploring with Rick & Bekah The architecture of the home looks so old, I really wasn't sure! 😂 Thank you!
You know that's kinda like life. Even if you can get across a floor that may not take your weight the door it's self won't even open.
loved the detecting!
Cool with detecting after!
looked like bags of buds behind that balloon thing.
Cool old house!
I like how that plugin outlet is sideways under the window ceil.
"The front door did open." When there is a will there is a way.
The door hardware on this house is very collectible
was that a couch falling thru the ceiling from an upstairs room...dont you hate when that happens : )
I miss Bekah :[
She will be back soon
They must have tried to renovate the place recently.
Nice old house! Hopefully someone saves it....not to late yet!
Is this house still around
Are ya ever coming to texas
Cool little toy gun
Interesting long web connecting the table and fireplace.
thumbs up would be nice to see bekah.but this prob a earlier video like the last one
If that switch was that hard to flip up I would flip it back down.
The old house`s use to put there blue prints/floor planes in the newel posts at the bottom of the stairs. If you look at bottom of toilet lid you will find the date of toilet. next time....
Right away you can tell this is an older house.
5:15
first time i've ever seen the knotty pine running horizontally.
donHooligan I built my house about 6 years ago and I did do a wall horizontally with knotty pine v-match and just polyurethaned it.
Even if squatter did live here they may have been the neat kind of squatters.
Amazing place :)
I know this is old but isn't it scary filming all by yourself? I'd totally psyche myself out worrying that someone (or someThing ) was going to jump out of one of those doors!
It can certainly be unnerving but still a lot of fun. :)
those toy cars are cute , who sez u can't take anything back home.
Wonder why Bekah was not with Rick. In the videos I have seen she is either bored or uninterested about being in these places. Or both actually. I could be wrong though. She actually loves doing this with me. Just not so expressive. She wasn't with me because she was in Arizona for a bit. Thx :)
OH, I NOTICE YOU HAD BETTER SHOES ON TO PROTECT FEET, GOOD JOB!
My feets are cold too.
👍👍👍
metal detecting is cool isn't it.
I do enjoy it. :)
14:17 nice, open space.
If the doors are locked, you should not enter, period.
The front door was unlocked.
In a pretty bad condition, floors gone, roof in bad way, needs demolishing. Nice comments about the place, annoying clicking scuffling sounds, do not scuffle with camera when videoing
2:57 sleet
Bad vibes on that house
11:49 really old lock.
lol toilet moment lol 😂
H l. 👍🏻⭐️⭐️🤣
