It is so sad to see houses where you know the owner was elderly and must have died. It just seems that nobody cares or it would have been cleared out.

There's an old chair or walker in the 1st room I think; betting it was an elderly person who lived there. Probably died with no one. Sad...that bureau with the round mirror is cool. Lots of awesome old furniture. Beckah has a great eye for zooming in on interesting things. Enjoyed it..tfs

I think the stories are pretty much all the same. Old people who live by themselves until they die, or move to a nursing home. Then their relatives come and grab what they want, and leave everything else. I don't see anything that looks really old there. Mostly 80s, 90's and 2000s.

Oh my gosh! Avon rich moisture cream is what my grandma used every night since I was a kid & I'm 52 now. She died in her 80's & never had a wrinkle! That stuff was around in the 70's for sure maybe the 60's. Thanks for the memory of my sweet grandma.😊

This house was seriously flooded at one time. Everything in there is toxic, toxic, toxic.I did disaster relief work after hurricane Katrina. A firefighter got a small cut on his hand. He'd cut it on one of the hundreds of cars they moved that had been in the floodwaters. It became infected fast. He died from sepsis that week. It happened to a few people. Flood water is super nasty and biohazard.

I see the video was just uploaded. Did this place survive the recent fire? My dad was from Knoxville, TN. We actually had a street with the family name on it (Edmondson Lane). Every time we went to my dads family we always went to Gatlinburg!!!! I loved it there!
We used to ride a "chair ride" up the mountain in Gatlinburg and I remember the view from the top was so gorgeous! I remember being on that little chair lift and there were families of bears under us. Do you know if the little chair ride up the mountains survived the fire?
Such a shame that people lost lives, animals, homes, and businesses, because of 2 moron UNSUPERVISED "children!!!"
They did an "adult" act, so the press should publish their names!! Also their parents should be forced to pay for every last dime lost! Put the 2 kids in prison until mommy and daddy pay it off! When the kids turn 18, they can work in the prison until it is paid for!

JERRY FRANCIS So sad. We are having a big drought here. The grass crunches between your feet!!
And sadly, there have been fires, purposely set, all around the state.
I think it has been 3 weeks since the last rain. I'm hoping & praying we get some before Memorial Day & the 4th of July.
Unfortunately this state has every sort of fireworks available for sale!! It is ridiculous that they allow anyone over 18 to purchase these DANGEROUS items!!
Around here with methaphetamines all around, these people, high as a kite, with 2-4 days without sleep, and now setting off fireworks!

Exploring with Rick & Bekah Florida, near Tampa. We haven't had long periods of rain in months!!
      Last night I heard thunder.
When I went outside last night to put the kitchen trash bag in the outside can.
It was thundering, lightning, and big dark storm clouds.
It started to rain--I think may be 4 drops came down and then it stopped!!
Usually we get only a few days of rain during the winter.
Then around June, the "rainy season" starts. Every day between 2-5 PM (depending on where you live along the west coast of FL), we get downpours of rain and it then stops for that day!
For people who do not believe in global warming, the last few "winter's" in this are have been abnormally warm!!

I love this house. If I was to walk in that door my first instinct is to clean it up and put everything where it belongs. I think at one time it was a charming little grandpa and grandma house. Grandma loved Avon powders and skin cream. She loved her pretty clothes. She was alone but kept some of Grandpa's things for the memories. They had Grand-babies. Sadly it looks like she must have gotten sick (walker against the wall) and must have been put in a nursing home. This house tells a special story but it does not have an ending. Why was everything left to be vandalized and rot? Sad.

Great video. You guys make a great team. Please use respirators. Looks like it was flooded, water came in thru the kitchen and flooded out to the road. That is why everything is scattered. Hopefully the inhabitants evacuated before the actual flood. A total loss for them. Elderly grandma and grandpa. How sad for the family.

This may have been abandoned in 2010 or thereabouts. There have been a number of very damaging storms and fires that have rolled through or near Gatlinburg, TN including a very damaging storm in 2010. Because of all of the mold on the walls, the state of the furniture and the partially collapsed ceilings, my guess is a natural disaster mostly claimed this house. Obviously, the residents were chased out at the time and may have never returned. You could probably confirm this by grabbing one of the many remotes around the house and prying it open. If it appears water damaged, then it was definitely a storm.

It's amazing how you find these places..
Those Avon products date back to mid 60s

I can tell it was 2 women, & a young boy.
Grandma who owned the house & the antique items, her daughter who owned the movies DVD players & read the Stephen King novels, & her son.
Grandma passed, & they daughter & son left at same time leaving their stuff behind.
My guess it has a leaky roof, why so much Mold.
I see they >just< had put a lock hasp, & someone kicked or pried it open again.
    My theory anyway.

I believe the Avon products were from the 1960's. Cotillion was a popular scent back then. I remember all of it. Also Stephen King is an author from Bangor, Maine (about 85 miles from me). Most of his books were made into movies. If you like creepy, scary, horror you would like his books.

      I've never liked clowns.
My older brother had this clown on a bicycle that would ride his bike from one corner of his bedroom to the other side when you opened his door or closed the door. He would try to scare my twin sister and I when we were little with it. Older brother's seem to enjoy doing stuff like that especially when they are 11 year's older than us. Our older sister was always playing pranks on him. Creepy clowns, and I hope the creepy clowns stuff has stopped now! 😮

At 9:30 in that open case with loops to hold different items it looks like there was a fountain pen still in there and what may have been a matching letter opener. I get the impression that was a little case for carrying writing/desk items. I like pens and would have enjoyed looking that case over in person---except it looked like rats or mice had been building a nest next to it. Maybe better just to o the screen!---Thanks for showing the books, Bekah. When there are books in a deserted house I always like to see what they are.

Hey Rick and Beka I don't know if you would be interested in this but there is a place in Crossville Tennessee and it is the worlds largest tree house. I could only see the first level because of my inability to walk but my friend got to go up to the highest level and she said it was amazing. I actually have it as my screen saver. I think there are like 7 levels.

A man built it all by himself and I forget how long it took him to build it but he did it all by hand . You do not have to pay to see it but they keep it secured so vandles don"t distroy it but they will let you in. Not sure of the times. Just type in the world"s largest tree house and you can get time and place there. I think the guy used to live in it but now the caretaker lives right next to it. If you go see it I know you and viewers will enjoy . He also built a church inside the house with a choir loft and pastor quarters. You can self guide or tour. Hope this helps Love you guys in Christ.Dianna

a person can't help but wonder why they would just abandon their house and leave everything for scavengers. such deplorable conditions inside. I wonder what their story was. crazy to think that people once lived there, and with a child, wonder where they are now. thanks for the vid, i love exploring vids since i cant do it myself. do you ever take any of the stuff? i would, i saw plenty i would be interested in. LOL

Yes... The thought came to me that it would be spiritually smart to first pray against left-over demonic spirits from the riff-raft that destroyed things.

I wish people would stop going on about using masks. Urban explorers DO know, they take the risk of not wearing them. They dont need 100 people saying the same thing

Why don't families sell houses after their parents die? Don't they want/need the money? The worst loss are family pictures!
