What a duet.... Two legends, two of my personal heroes... Both of us so in chemistry... Al 's laugh make my day anytime... Rest In Peace my AL... God bless u George... 🙏❤️
These two guys worked a lot with the same people in the studios. Al Jarreau had always wanted a diverse audience as well as George Benson. These guys were performance kings and arrangement masters.
Lucky. I saw Benson live twice. And Jarreau just once..but I got to talk to Jarreau, at a bar, while my friends were doing their gig there... They played Spain for him. Good times. 😁
Watcging these two being interviewed together like this reminds me of Pacino & De Niro being interviewed together for Heat. Legends in their professions.
Many thanks for this very enlightening video! I was fortunate to watch them perform in Singapore's iconic Esplanade Theatres on the Bay while they were on their world tour to promote the album! Boy ! I wished I had seen this before they came as I would have appreciated the concert even MORE !!! It sure came as a surprise about the Paul McCartney bit, I must re-listen to the album once again & read the liner notes too! Once again, thank you for this!
..."Givin' it Up" was released just in time to restore My faith in music and Artists again, Some Great Covers, Originals and a line up of The greatest musicians to Support This album...Al's Scatting George's playing are Epic!!!
The laziness and lack of creativity of the new generation will never produce great musical talents like these two unless there is a drastic change. I cannot name one in the last 30 years.
This collaboration, like that George did with Earl; produced an album in which each every track was a doozy. The number of albums in my reckoning, that can lay claim to that distinction, can be counted on the finger of one hand. My deepest gratitude to these two gentlemen for the awesome awesome music they given us through the the years and particularly for this album. If I can dare, another dream collaboration would be that between George and Joyce Cooling, yep; my fingers are most certainly crossed for that one.
I wish they had done this in their prime..and each had done each other's hit, like Benson doing Mornin'..or After All, or Moonlighting... while Al doing Nothing's Gonna Change My Love for You, Give Me the Night..or Turn Your Love Around... Oh, well... Rest in peace, Al. Thank U both. 🙏🏽
WHAT UP? Maybe if your comment had better spelling we all might understand what you wrote , but either way who cares if he has sugar in his tank or not , at the end of the day both are great musicians.
I also wonder if George is gay because how can u be away from your wife months at a time and be ok with it and she's ok with it and u never have a picture of u and her online or on your website? Just strange
George had such a beautiful voice and sang the Greatest love of all, better than anybody.
Agreed, Whitney's version was beautiful but too extra, George's version is the best...

Al is the man :)

JÁ ADOREI a entrevista sem nada entender. POR FAVOR teria como traduzi-la, colocar voz para dubla-los? Adoraria saber o que falaram. Valeu e Obrigado.
King jazz
Ironic that it’s in a recording studio and you can’t hear the interviewer.
i migliori
al sure can talk can't he? lol good interview
What’s is the Elvis song George sings in the beginning of the interview?
Can’t Help Falling in Love with You
RIP AL you're truly missed 🌹 😢 ..wow there was a ghost orb flying all over George 22-23min in maybe it's an Angel 😇
Please, I do not know english very well. I speak more Portuguese. Can you help me?
i love Benson ! what a great artist , but al ...ok he was good but sometimes i hope he will sing just a little less ! lol !
I like a l as a singer but it seems he has a little sugar in his blood. That laugh confirms it 23:30 he also sounds like the joker when he talks.

Maybe she doesn't want to be in the spotlight. Have you ever seen Bobby Mcferrin's wife?
You seem mighty obsessed with it.
@@TheDivayenta just wondering.
@@MisterB2eternity just wondering. He does have the look though.
