@SmallCaterpillar7 - First create the upper shape then mirror it, moved it downwards, then attached the mirrored shape to the first one. Then you can press 1 on the keyboard to go to vertex level of the shape. now you can select the 2 vertices on the left that you want to weld. Once selected, click the Fuse then click weld. Press 1 again to go out of vertex level.
Could you please help me on how to export it? when I do so, then after importing - the pages no longer bend, and its inner sides go slightly through the middle part of the cover on animation!
Definitely could've used a little verbal explanation. I can never get the Weight Tool to work correctly, so I got lost around 4:30 with all the fast-forwarding. Not really sure what you did with the point helper either. Having to pause and rewind the video multiple times for each mouse click (because the steps involved techniques I'm unfamiliar with) became tedious. Kind of a shame because this is what I was looking for. Guess I'll just play around with it and use an HD solver instead
dunno if anyone gives a damn but if you're stoned like me during the covid times you can stream all of the latest series on instaflixxer. Have been streaming with my girlfriend for the last weeks =)
Nice tutorial, sadly when I try it to export as fbx, the inner page animation is not exporting. fbx exporter nicely Bake animation of book cover but bot baking inner page.
Thank you for the great video! Can 3ds Max do an animation as in this video ua-cam.com/video/y3loQKGaBBk/v-deo.html starting at 8:29? Can you show a tutorial on that? Thanks
A terrible tutorial i will be re-doing this tutorial so people can actually follow it. You don't use the fins on the bones in the end they are deleted. When you said in a comment that you deleted the skin because you forgot to add the bones, you actually did the opposite and deleted the fins and the skin modifier. You then replaced the Skin modifier onto a set of bones that didnt have fins. I hope that clarifies it for people
Thank you for the tutorial . Hardest part was setting up the weights but I got it to work. Used it for my new intro .
