- Tobias Volkamer was born in Germany and now lives in Zurich, Switzerland.Tobias is a dual virtuoso: He is an excellent Jazz Chromonica player and highly achieved acoustic fingerstyle guitarist at the same time. He plays Hohner Chromonica in a harp rack while accompanying himself on acoustic guitar. He operates the harmonica slide with a foot switch that he invented himself. His recordings and videos are stunning.
Tobias Volkamer wurde in Deutschland geboren und lebt heute in Zürich in der Schweiz. Tobias ist ein Virtuose im Zweifachen Sinne: Er ist ein exzellenter Chromonica Spieler und beherrscht gleichzeitig das Gitarrespielen auf genialste Weise. Und dass er diese beiden Instrumente tatsächlich auch zur gleichen Zeit spielen kann, beweist er immer wieder auf eindrucksvollste Weise.

Are there any products for a hands free chromatic harmonics? I have seen a neck rack with a chin activated chromatic slide, and Tobias uses a foot pedal. There used to be a chromatic with a special mouthpiece you slid to get the chromatic notes, but all these no longer seem to be online or contactable. Any help out there?

Drew Engman I am glad you have found something, mine works on a similar system to Tobias, but I use an Electro Magnet, you can see a Demo on UA-cam which was not the best as it takes quite a bit of practice not so much the Harmonica but to Synchronise the Guitar with it when you are in other Keys & doing some Jazz or Classical stuff . I am now much better & will put something more challenging on UA-cam but as my Guitar playing is not at a similar level to my Harmonica playing the Tobias Standard is always a distant dream. hallo tobias, bin am 14.1.41 in düsseldorf geboren und spiele seit meinem 6. lebensjahr mund-harmonika. so sehr ich dein duospiel muha + gitarre bewundere, bin ich der meinung, daß man die mundharmonika alleine viel gefühlvoller (vibrato mit den händen) spielen kann. WIE? gehe zu >günter selbach., 7 videos.
Bibrato is echt geil.
