@bauer brown i give you a little tip you may know or not but when you click on script move to maps then move to the bottom were it says detach menu you have that menu on your screen always so you dont have to keep going to the script then maps and so on
I do know, and sometimes I use it if I'm doing a lot. Definitely something I should have mentioned so other people know too. The next video is going to use that menu a lot so I'll make sure I mention that feature! Thanks for the heads up!
Hello. I watched your videos, they explain very well what you need to do. Unfortunately, I don't have the courage for a trip like you. I open the scenario and for me nothing appears under the terrain, but in your video you can see many possibilities. Please show me how to set it up. Thanks
Which part are you having a problem with? Have you watched any other videos in this series? If you start with video #1 I walk you through the entire process.
@@bauerbrown Hello. In this video, at 1 minute 36 seconds, you can see that the script is opened in the giantseditor and it is open there, but the user folder is completely empty for me, and you have a lot of stuff in it. I follow the content of all the videos but for some reason, I don't know why, none of the options work for me. I appreciate your answers.
Your folder is empty because you did not put any scripts in there yet. GE only comes with a few default scripts, the rest are scripts that you acquire along the way. You can write the scripts yourself, or download them. When you get into future videos in this series, you will be shown where to download certain scripts and how to install them.
Is there something in the editor that gives a compass heading? For example, if you wanted your road to run north south (top to bottom) when in game as a player.
Unfortunately there is not, however by default the "z" axis is assumed to be north. It can be a bit confusing because on my maps for example, when I highlight the terrain, the blue arrow on the gizmo points to what I would consider south. I'll look into it a bit further and get you a more helpful answer.
Do you mean texture preview? In the editor, go to FILE > PREFERENCES > VIEWPORT and then check the box next to "Terrain Editing Preview." It only works for previewing paint, not foliage. I did cover this in one of my past videos (I'm not sure which one) so if you need any additional help with it, it probably wouldn't take much to find that video.
Are you using the FarmerBoys version? It largely depends on the circumstances and what you are trying to achieve. Try keeping the amount of change you make at one time to a minimum. Try to avoid making any changes that involve the center and both left and right edges. I generally run them one at a time if need be. I'll do the center, then come back and run any edges I want to affect. Those are the only scenarios that have caused me issues with the FB script.
Thank you very much, this Episode solve all my unanswered questions. Excellent information. :):)
Awesome, I'm glad it helped! This is only the tip of the iceberg concerning splines, we'll get much deeper in future videos.
these tools are godsend thanks for the info man i truly appreciate it
No problem! Glad to help!
Thank you farm Boyz thank you Brown. Effen awesome!

Where can I get these tools, such as the spline street constructor? A google search brings up nothing but a bunch of dead ends.
Love the new intro 🥳

how did you get the texture color to fill in the red lines for painting foliage or the paint mode?

Terrain height script is causing GE to freeze

the script tools from farmerboys is not wanting to work with 9.0.6
Odd. I have no issues with it.
Using the paint by spline in a straight line, the splines are really jagged and aren’t smooth
That could have something to do with the size map you are working on along with the size of the height maps. What sizes are you using for each?
don't forget to unzip file
