We (UK) have a lot of regulations surrounding artificial additives and sugar. Like corn syrup, it's not banned but there's a manufacturing quota restriction.
This is actually complicated. The Skittles are made in the UK and Australia with glucose syrup. Corn syrup is a type of glucose syrup, but not all glucose syrups are corn syrup. Glucose syrups are wheat or corn derived (or potato or rice derived... starch derived usually).
It's not a big surprise that neither is good for people (esp. In excess) because they're both straight up sugar.
Probably the best part of these episodes is watching Rhett and Link try to pick up objects with their blindfolds on.

I've had US and UK skittles recently, the US ones are much sweeter and more artificial tasting, I can see why many would prefer it but its not for me.

lol we have one in trinidad and tobago called Crix, also without the filling. more popular in plain and whole wheat but the other flavours include cheese and spinach.
I'm American and I'm not sure why they ate the one with filling. The original snack is the one without filling. I've never even had the one they ate. I eat the plain one all the time.
