Pretty cool how it goes slo-mo after they're done :)
... Wow It Omost Looks Like The House That I Grew Up In ...
Oh they are very livable, I live in a Levittowner home and there is no problem at all with them. I believe furnace is in the kitchen hidden by some kind of frame cover so it isn't noticeable.
And that is why they all are standing after Super Storm Sandy right? The only damage brought to these homes was trees falling down (but a falling tree would damage any home) , but trees only fell on homes in like one section...besides that all the other homes just like the one in the video were fine in all the other sections.
With Prefabs, entire subdivisions were put up in months, rather then years...
when the time lapse starts play the king of the hill theme song in another window
I wonder if they used that nice asbestos siding on that house
Daniel Arcure yes they did.
Asbestos 😋
I'll bet moneynits STILL there, and STILL 90% INTACT. It wasn't JUST fire proof. It's also VERY strong!
Westbrook Van Voohris is the narrator here....and in just 15 seconds, a fierce storm could knock all that down in one swoop- without "time lapse".
They're still standing fine, thank you.
bob dear do thay have a bule one!! :) and i just have to have a new chevy a 1953 one to go withit and a new zenith for i love lucy
and a new kittchen two
Adam ruins everything?
Any idea on the address?
Who else pulled up for history class?
I did. From the UK. I love these houses.
Where was the furnace? The Sewer? The electrical?
A day to build the an enclosed framework, but certainly not livable.
Really not livable.? A lot of people raised a family and grew old in them.
70 years later can confirm they're still not livable
I’m sitting in Levittown house right now. All of those things were added by different crews. The way these houses where built one crew put up the the framework. One crew did the plumbing. One crew did the electrical. They worked house to house which is why these are considered assembly line style homes.
Abd they could get 10 up A DAY. Not SEVERAL MONTHS.
