    I can feel the relief!.. i wear makeup maybe 30 days outa the year because of this... when i do my eyes start to feel like sand paper and bam more than normal is coming out..

    Ugh I freaking hate those, it feels like sand in the eye. I usually use a moist Qtip in the corner of the eye and spin it get them come out.

    i had the same problem but i used a piece of course wire wool and some sand paper it worked great but the following week my eye turned a funny colour of green and then my eye fell out . funny thing is now i need to do it to the othere eye but this time i have thought it through . i am using an old razor blade and a rusty nail file so i think i will be ok .

    We have the same color eyes, but what is it? Some say grey, some say a bit green or bluish, I just say grey. Also, I use this exact same method to get foreign objects out my eye. I find that the dryer the napkin the better the wet object sticks to it.

    Hello, how does it feel before pulling the white stringy things? Does the eye itch or hurt? I've never seen this phenomenon before and I'm so curious about it (I've personally never experienced white stringy things so this is very new to me).

      You could try massaging your eyes at night with a really really small amount of coconut oil, it should strengthen your eyelashes

      Yes and no. It’s obviously mucus that I’m fishing out, but, I also have a build up of residue from make up and face mask (after washing it off), so it’s actually that that I’m trying to remove. If that makes any sense at all 🤦🏻‍♀️

    i get this too. i see videos of ppl poking in eyeballs to get this stringy stuff out..with all kinds of homemade gadgets..why the hell they dont sell something otc for this as common as it is? like a qtip with a sponge tip or something

    I have to do that more often than I like to but it is cool the way it comes out. I now use a q-tip that I wet with visine instead of my finger.

    Ive had black specs in my eye for about 2 years. I went to an eye dr and he said im fine. Now its as if im looking through a magnifying glass at some kind of bug. Very tiny but right in the center of my vision. Eye dr still says its ok because the retina is still intact. Should i get a second opinion or what. Sometimes it interferes with my driving. It looks like something is laying in the road but its only that spec in my eye.

      Completely agree with the other person who has commented, please gets second opinion. What you’re describing isn’t what I’m removing, which is simply residue from mascara and eye liner after I have washed it off. Is it constant? If it’s interfering with your driving please, please stop. Believe me I know how frustrating having to give up driving can be, I have had to recently for the next couple of months (6 months total!) following an accident I had in July so I do understand but until you know exactly what is going on with your vision please stop 😔 for your own safety aswell as others

      @kikicvt “don’t act that way” - I stated two facts, not 100% sure what your problem is but anyway. It is a build up of mucus (very normal) after washing off eye make up and using a white clay mask. I’ve stated this many, many times.

    The habitual fishing of mucus from ones eye is what exacerbates mucus production and makes it a syndrome. How about limiting your obsession to the mucus which accumilates at the corners like everyone else 🤷🏽‍♂
    The hit you recieve from satisfying this compulsion just isnt worth it.

      @@kerrieshannon8650 there are a variety of causes. Dry eye is merely one of them and that certainly isnt the cause for me. I’m also a doctor btw 🤦🏻‍♀️ which is exactly why I feel qualified enough to tell people my eyes are fine when they attempt to diagnose
