Look at his body actions. He absolutely hated every second of that interaction. But instead of saying something harsh or mean to the reporter he had some fun with it. Even thought you can tell he was highly uncomfortable, it’s nice he made an effort and realised she didn’t mean to offend.
He just went up in my estimation. He handled that with dignity and grace, and dry humor, unlike the silly woman drooling over the "hot" body of an elderly man.
I think the reporter sincerely meant it as a compliment, but at that age most people are no longer concerned with looking hot. There are exceptions to that, of course, especially in show business, but Harrison Ford never really seemed to be all about that, even when he was younger.

I used to think the same thing, but after gathering information from several interviews, I think he just can't abide the shallowness of Hollywood, the inane questions from reporters, the pressure to do the same thing over and over because audiences will pay for it, and the outright stupidity of many fans. He's a professional with personal standards and has no interest in playing to the lowest common denominator. I think Harrison has trouble accommodating the vacuous aspects of his business, bless him.

I used to think the same thing, but after gathering information from several interviews, I think he just can't abide the shallowness of Hollywood, the inane questions from reporters, the pressure to do the same thing over and over because audiences will pay for it, and the outright stupidity of many fans. He's a professional with personal standards and has no interest in playing to the lowest common denominator. I think Harrison has trouble accommodating the vacuous aspects of his business, bless him.
