FYI 1:13:11 "lingua franca" isn't just "... it's the language they spoke/wrote..." it's context is speakers of different languages using "a common language", aka 'lingua franca', to communicate with others. English is a good example of a common modern 'lingua franca' because so many people across the globe speak it. So it was not their native language.

Hi there! Such an interesting conversation!! I am studying Akkadian at the moment (Old Babylonian specifically) which is the oldest attested semitic language. Although the Akkadians adopted the Sumerian writing system of Cuneiform (along with many others in the region) Sumerian is a language isolate - it has no known relatives (which is not some shocking indication that these were some beings from an alternate dimension - we just have very few records of languages going this far back and we have language isolates in existence today too!) and apart from some minor word adoption here and there you won't find any Sumerian connection at all with the any branch of the semitic language family. I believe Sumerian is also an agglutinative language (not an expert here so don't quote me) whereas semitic languages are fusional. Very glad to see this distinction being called out! You absolutely cannot logically infer some special connection between Hebrew and Sumerian. It would be like saying French has connections to Inuit because Indo European Langauage speakers took over large swathes of their traditional land. It just ain't so!
So the original story is that 72 scribes translated the Torah into the Septuigent, and they came out with the same divine translation. Obviously, fiction. What if we flip that story on its head and say that there was an attempt to translate the Septuigent into Hebrew by 72 scribes to see if they could establish a Hebrew source for a newly forming religion? Do we have any archeological evidence for that? Oh yeah, the DSS. Sometimes, a lie can tell you the truth.
“You can translate anything into any other language regardless of complexity” !?! That statement is Hot Garbage and you can stick that in Google Translate.
Once you understand that the genetic and anthropological research shows that 90% of Palestinians descend from Jews who converted to Christianity and Islam and never left the land, the whole 'children of Israel' thing must be reinterpreted entirely. The modern European Jews who founded Zionism are not the children of Israel. Half of them have no middle eastern DNA whatsoever because they're converts, and the other half are mixed Levantine and European ancestry. The Arab Jews, who are 45% of Israelis, are genetically indistinguishable from Palestinians, yet the Palestinians are called Arabs because they are Arabic speaking. The Arab Jews were also Arab speaking until the invention of modern Hebrew, and they had lived peacefully in Muslim countries for over 1400 years until the European Zionist movement, which was in fact, founded by an atheist Jew, and considered by the Hasidic (actually practising Jews) to be a heresy. The Jewish scriptures said the promised land was NOT to be forced by human hands, but to be created by the Jewish Messiah when he appeared. Because those who remained Jews rejected Jesus as Messiah, while the Christians and Muslims accepted him, their Jewish Messiah has not appeared. So they forced the promised land by deciding that the Jewish people are the Messiah instead. It is fictional and arbitrary nonsense, which became a genocidal fanatic cult in the twentieth century. The guest is oblivious to all this and can't factor it into his understanding of the topic. The promised land already happened: the areas described as part of Israel in the old testament became the homeland of the Levantine peoples (Palestinians, Lebanese, Syria, parts of Iraq, Jordan). The deluded Zionists, thinking that Muslim people means gulf Arab descendants when they are really Levantines, and designating themselves the children of Israel, are holding us all hostage and commanding our government and military for the last thirty years based on these erroneous beliefs about being the chosen people of the promised land. I have yet to see any 'bible scholar' who can discuss the actual genetic and anthropological research to inform their picture, it is all based on belief belief belief
Rock on. That’s why I did it when the ultra orthodox Jewish people say that the Jews are still in exile… And they do not recognize the current modern political state of Israel. Having said that they do believe that the land of Canaan or Palestine or Israel belongs to the Jews and when the Messiah comes, they’re gonna be the top honchos… And maybe the Palestinians will be their slaves. Like everyone is getting 2600 slaves, which is far as I can tell is better than any Muslim winding up with 75 raisins. Still, I respect their general position
Wow an expert here . Did you guys know that the Cubans are really German and the Chinese are really Welsh. There were these dna tests and the Bible (insert random technical words…) = 2nd protocols . Good job! Yay

For real. The atheist/materialistic view of the world is really enticing until you actually experience the supernatural. I experienced the same thing on mushrooms by the way.
@@mq1995 I can see how a religion could spring from such experiences, an active sacrament would serve as an initiation and bond the group. Later the priests could remove this and make it faith based transfuring it from a direct experience and taking power over the followers. Something people would most certainly do. Just an idea though obviously. Terrance Mckenna once said that going through life without such an experience would be akin to never having sex. I meet lots of materialistic people who have never experienced this and I find them all to be wanting.
I certainly had that experience with a profound DMT journey. I was an atheist and still am. It did however absolve me of my fear of death. Absolutely nothing about my experience reinforced the presumption of a personal judiac God. There was no Jesus or Moses or Elohiem.

I love Danny’s show and all the important conversations he’s helped make possible. I don’t always understand the “anti religious” headlines that are all across his channel. Regardless of his personal take on spirituality/Religion and or, it’s pretty redundant when the show itself provides all the information for the audience to make that decision. Honestly, it seems misleading at times almost as if it wasn’t the purpose or knowledge we obtained from the discussion. A scholar talking about the Dead Sea Scrolls and current affairs warrants the title “expert rejects religion” “debunking the Bible” “was Jesus an alien?” “ was jesus a hoax?” “What really happened to the child in the Garden of Gethsemane” . Anyway, I appreciate this channel, just saying. We understand that Christian’s can be annoying sometimes Danny, lol

Regarding translating simple language with two words into more complex language using one word, here is an example from English when grappling with a new invention. We started with "horseless carriage" and that became "car" over time. English today is much more complex that it was even 100 years ago because we have so many more concepts to express now. Yet, we often do so more succinctly.
1:49:49 This comparison he's doing is wrong in the context of "unique word forms". Its not "I ran, he ran" it would be like "ran away", "ran up to", "ran down from". Greek uses plenty of prefixes and suffixes, each verb with a different prefix, or suffix, is a unique word. Using something like ana-, apo-, kata-, epi-, ex-, meta-, etc. Ana(basis), Kata(basis). An(ode) Cath(ode). Up way, down way. Logos, Apologos, epilogos, prologos; those are unique word forms of that one root. Kipp doesn't know that because he doesn't understand Greek grammar.
Kipp Davis knows Ancient Greek, he has said so in the past. Little amun only knows a little zombie hebrew. That's why Rockstar "Indy Jones" Davis always wipes the floor if the little sheep Amun(similar to how Amun wiped bathroom floors at Uni) 😂
The complexity argument got off track really fast… What it’s based on is “literal translation”, whereas he is talking about poetic license, Or transliteration. Literally reading a phrase or a sentence, and then reworking it in completely different words so it says ‘what you think it means’. Like, in the Vedic texts, that is supposed to be punishable by loosing your hand at best, and death at worst!! They want photocopies, not “your ideas”. How do you photocopy more neuance to Ancient Greek from Hebrew?🤷🏼
@@yardfowl3149 Yeah I have heard this dismissal before, oh it's a "forgery" O.K., one problem with that is a certain Austrian painter mentioned the protocols in a book he wrote, that was 100 years ago, so people were well aware of it back then, and regardless of whether or not it is a forgery, the last 100 years has played out exactly the way they said it would almost to the letter, so who gives a shit who wrote it. IT TURNS OUT ITS TRUE!!!
My research leads me to believe the Dead Sea scrolls are copies , and new works, saved from the library of Alexandria. The scholars fled from Alexandria 900KM to the East with scrolls, after Caesar burnt the library in 48BC. And eventually settled near the Qumran caves where they continued their work and stored the text in the caves in about 2BC.

I agree we can experience things that seem very real. I will however say that in the early 1990s I was travelling in my car and said to God " I feel like I can't get near you. At that moment my radio that was playing jumped stations to a program that said " if you want to get close to God sing songs of worship". I knew this was supernatural. I was completely sober and drug free. I also had a dream in 1993 about the year 2000 and the Olympics in Australia. It was then that I was led to a church and became born again. Up until then I was involved in New Age and other things looking for the truth.
A little Vietnamese girl recently revealed to me that there were no words in her language to correspond with some of the English words used in our conversation or the English she’s been learning in school. So I completely understand.
He sort of said a lot of nothing, but he did give good insight into forgeries. But show me something thats extremely popular, and I bet there will be forgeries. Doesnt make it untrue.
@greenacresorganics7922 he appears to be an expert in the texts and determining whether they are forgeries. I am assuming thats what his PhD is in.. Whether you agree with his interpretation of the documents in a larger context is a different discussion and different field of study

In the book _"The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail"_ they referred to the Priory of Sion and concluded their tenets were based on _"The Protocols of the Elders of Zion"_ The Priory of Sion was a fraternal organisation founded and dissolved in France in 1956 by Pierre Plantard in his failed attempt to create a prestigious neo-chivalric order.
The "mythical history" of the Priory of Sion was exposed as an elaborate hoax in the form of an esoteric puzzle, created by Plantard as part of his unsuccessful stratagem to become a respected, influential and wealthy player in French esotericist and monarchist circles. Pieces of "evidence" presented in support of the historical existence and activities of the Priory of Sion before 1956 were discovered to have been forged and then planted in various locations around France by Plantard and his accomplices in order to create the illusion that the organisation was over 1000 years old.

A huge let down was inability to explain why Greek language Septuagint is more complex. The complex language of very developed philosophy and deep thought made that translation into what it is. Translation is not a mechanical process.
Greek was a complicated language, and had nuances that Hebrew didn't have. My guess is that the translators ran with it in their own way.

What's the DSS?
Man there you are....the one who has to tell a whole story about shit....retard

This comparison he's doing is wrong in the context of "unique word forms".
