Drawing mandalas and meditation have helped me so much over the last few years, it's unreal. I used to have a lot of anxiety and I was broke. Thanks to mandalas and meditation that's no longer the case.

Ever since finding your channel I am finding that using drawing as a meditative model really works for me. Once I got over "every drawing has to be perfect" things have gone well. Thank you for sharing your talent with the world.

I meditate in an odd way whenever I want to sleep. Laying comfortably in the dark, I try to stop following thoughts and instead focus on what I see visually with my eyes closed. At first it’s hard to say what I see but it’s not pitch black. After a minute or so, I see a subtle granularity in the darkness. Something like a field of tiny pixels of very dim lights of different but uncertain colors that are constantly changing rapidly. As I focus on them, I think about the other junk in my head less. If I do follow a thought, then what I was seeing fades away and I see nothing. So back to focusing on what I see again and trying not to think. I can’t see anything if I’m thinking, apparently. After a couple of minutes, this gets easier and I relax into the visual show. By now, it’s a bit like watching an old time black-and-white analog television in the middle of the night tuned to an empty channel but with the audio volume off and the brightness turned down almost to nothing. It’s visual noise with no pattern but rather mesmerizing. I can’t help but wonder where it comes from. My retina, the optic nerve, or my visual cortex? And how? There are never images of people, objects, or even geometric shapes. Once I’m relaxed, I can soften my focus a bit and that’s when the blue and purple nebulae appear. They are subtle at first but one will appear as a faint large blob with mostly soft edges but it will drift across my “field of view” over three to five seconds, changing shape and clarity of the edges along the way. A bit like a very pale blue or purple Crab Nebula swimming like a jellyfish as it morphs and then evaporates. And then there’s another one. And is that a real blue (or purple) color or isn’t it? Why is it hard for me to tell? But the two colors are different. Before I know what’s happening, I’m apparently asleep because I don’t ever remember what if anything comes next. It sends me to sleep at least 95% of the time even after a disturbing day. I think I’d call it meditation, just not a kind I’ve ever heard of. And I use only as a tool to get to sleep. I’m not sure what would happen sitting up during the day.

Oh yes, I know EXACTLY what you mean! It’s almost like doing psychedelics. I see the same things.
Sometimes I drift off into full scenes with people and action while I’m totally lucid. It’s always a great time.

Dig this one. I usually do a 20 minute zazen session. Sometimes I'll do some Wim Hof breath work with cold showers, sometimes I do a TM-style mantra meditation. I also like taking a notebook into nature to write haikus.

I play guitar as a meditation. Sometimes I'll think about new musical ideas as a meditative experience.
It might be interesting to add animation to mandalas in some way. If the different patterns are on separate layers of acrylic sheeting, they could be turned in different directions by a motor.
It might be interesting to do mandala style patterns that are animated on a zoetrope also.
Of course, the possibilities for mandalas just on a piece of paper are infinite.

Wood work has the ability to either chill me out completely or fly off the handle, and you never know which one you’re gonna get 😂 I use watercolours every now and then but my weapon of choice for colour is actually photoshop.

Brother you are in a process, don't be upset with your thoughts and feelings. The mind will follow up the spirit, just keep up with your art and knowledge!
Btw, the Sri Yantra that I bought from you last year, brings me so much positive energy and moments. I talk with her every day, and solidify my respect for the living Universe.
Thank you for that art, changed my life!
And yes, I would want to buy this Mandala if that would be possible:) I hope you will put in your prints shop.
    Cheers
