Lionel Loueke, Bob Mintzer & WDR BIG BAND - Benny's Tune

The WDR BIG BAND performs together with Lionel Loueke (guitar, vocals) and chief conductor Bob Mintzer at EWI the track "Benny's Tune" (composer: Lionel Loueke, arrangement: Bob Mintzer). Produced as part of the WDR JAZZCLUB concert "African Soul" at WDR Studios Bocklemünd / Cologne (December 2022).
The internationally multi-award-winning guitarist Lionel Loueke comes from Benin in West Africa. His strongly rhythmic music with its thoroughly independent sound can be heard on numerous albums, including on the renowned jazz label Blue Note. Loueke's bands regularly feature renowned soloists such as Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter and Esperanza Spalding.
