Edit: Appreciate everyone’s feedback! I’m not mad I did the deal. I’m the end at the very least i’ll profit around $300-400 that’s on the bad end. A lot of this stuff I will be keeping anyways so this was better then buying @ retail on eBay. Appreciate the love and feedback!

i love yard sales but sometimes the people selling ask ridiculous prices it laughable
I definitely would have passed. But still, you’re going to profit and benefit from this buy since you were looking for 2 of the consoles you got. Good stuff man. Especially the NES CIB! So cool!
Been wanting to do something like your channel for a while now. Can i have your honest opinion on how your business is going? Id love to be able to eventually quit my dayjob and maybe start up a retro business. I love and care about video games very much! Super excited to give it a try
I've learned the hard way that if you're buying things for half of retail, you only want expensive items. Dropping $50 on a game that sells for $100? Fine, you'll make $20 at least, even if you have to lower the price, and demand for that game is high. But paying $5 for a low demand SOCOM game that "goes" for $10 is just going to be $5 that's sitting on your shelf for a year unless you discount the price to basically what you spent.
Easy pass. Way too much work just for $200. You going to be making like $5/hr
Absolutely horrid deal. However, I will admit, in the throws of excitement of the find I've made them over the years as well.
You need to control your emotions better, the whole UA-cam started trend about "how much of if buy all" technique is dumb when you haven't see the games, condition, and quality of the titles. There's no reason to freak out over outdated games and consoles.
It’s what I enjoy man. I mean I asked the dude a question. If he didn’t have a price then that’s why you do something called “work something out”. The guy had a legit SPREADSHEET of prices. He was ready to sell it all. Don’t tell me to “control my emotions” lol. This whole game isn’t about money. It’s about having fun. Maybe read up on it!
UA-cam didn't start the trend of how much if I buy it all. People have been doing that long before UA-cam started. Bundle and save has been a thing forever...
That's a really good haul. I was at a yard sale a couple of weeks back, there were these kids who were selling a bunch of older consoles and tech.
They had an Xbox 360 arcade, some PS2 games and an actual PS2 fat out for sale. The PS2 was what caught my eye, despite it obviously lacking some essential components like the power cable, memory card and a controller. Despite all of this, it still looked to be in good condition.
I asked the kid selling it, if he had a price on the PS2. He replied that he doesn't really know, so I shot my shot. I asked "would you take 5 bucks for the PS2?" He agreed, to my surprise and delight.
I took the console home, hooked it up to my TV with some of my cables, and it actually turned on. Considering that Ps2's go for around 80-150 dollars on eBay i'd say that was an incredibly lucky buy.

when i try to sell my games at 50% of eBay, the resellers think thats to high, and they arent interested... they are looking for 75-80% mark up, so i've never sold games or comics or non sport cards at yard sales, or antiques/collectibles.

Yeah, I think you overpaid a bit, but you probably wouldn't have gotten the deal for much less. Sometimes when you are adding to the collection it is worth it just to break even. I might have pushed a little harder on the guy, see if he is really going to do the work to list it all himself. People always talk about how much they could get on eBay, but we all know they won't take the time to do all that for a few reasons, namely they don't have the time it would take, and they don't have the skillset or patience to list everything and get top dollar. Either way, that NES set is sweet! Good finds!
I would of cherry picked the ps1 and GameCube stuff and left the rest. Plus I have been having trouble moving ps2 fats lately and half the time they don’t read discs. Just my personal take as a reseller
That’s the thing I don’t think I would have gotten a deal if I did this. I think he only made the deal since I was buying everything 😅

Nope! I just simply lost interest in reselling/yard sales. With working a part time job my only "free days" were the weekends, and that is when yard sales happen. It just took a toll on me mentally and I just stopped. I enjoyed making the content, but with me not going to yard sales I can't make said content anymore sadly.

Stopped enjoying reselling. It started to turn more into a job vs doing it for fun on the side/hobby. The only part I really enjoyed was making the content but since I dont go to yard sales much and dont resell = no content to be made sadly. Maybe ill come back to it all one day but I leave the videos as a memory for now.

Throw them up on Facebook marketplace for 20 percent under eBay price charting and they’ll sell.
@@williamRRR True. A lot of what I looked at for pricing (GamevalueNow and Pricecharting) were wrong according to someone; apparantly they don't update it and eBay is where I should look for pricing. An example was Hunter the Reckoning on Gamecube I bought for $25 2 years ago. Pricecharting says it only sells for $17 now...pretty sure it sells more than $17 now.
I originally got Metal Gear Solid for $50 on Gamecube...that probably goes for $110 - $120 now. I've seen a lot of people overcharge for games though...I think the same game I saw selling for $225. Heck, that is practically 2 times the asking price.

I honestly think you overpaid for evrything . You can buy a ps1 for $20 on OfferUp, ps2 for $50 . All the games are shitty $10 games
Also, the guy is tripping if he thinks all that is worth $1100. Did he forget that fees and shipping take a big cut of your profit on eBay. All those $10 are gunna take a while to sell
He's not selling as if it's on ebay though. He's selling in person. It's not his problem someone else has to sell on ebay.
@@kitten-whisperer He's going off of eBay sold comps, and trying to get top dollar at a flea market / garage sale, without putting in any of the work. Welp, there's always someone more gullible, there's opportunities like this everyday if you wanna pay 80% of ebay value.

I think $300 for the Boxed Nes action set is way to much to expect to get. Decent deal if you want to add this to your collection, but as a flip I would of passed.
$650 is way too much for this lot. I wouldn't have paid more than $350. Good luck!

It was not that bad of a buy lol I get it seeing items that you want to add into the personal collection. when I do a deal like that and I’m stocking up the home collection I personally just try to break even which I think you will. So just depends on how you look at it 😊

I might have bought that too. If I can make $400ish profit for a day or less of work, I count it as a win. I've spent $600 at two separate garage sales recently.
