Massive Aircraft Orders Coming & Boeing Underperforms Again

- Опубліковано 19 чер 2024
- Cebu Pacific is nearing a major order with Airbus that would include up to 150 A320neo family aircraft to more than double its fleet. Meanwhile, Boeing's orders and deliveries dropped again in May as the manufacturer battled pressure from all angles. Lastly, Gulf Air is reportedly eyeing a new Boeing 787 order, consisting of the 787-8 or 787-10, to boost its widebody fleet and capacity.

Right now I do not want to order any Boeing aircraft -
A wise person
AGREED
Oh hello a321 san-bos guy
Why would you not order a boeing plane
People with loose bolts will tell you to order Boeing.
😉
Most airlines dont have a choice. Airbus's line to entirely sold out
I want to see more orders for the Embraer E2. Such a gorgeous aircraft.
Agreed!
Will never happen in the US due to scope
@@erauprcwa agreed
I hear that some purchaser has ordered 20, or so A330Neo 900s, but the purchaser's name was not known, only that Airbus has release this bit of news. Great news the A330Neo is in my opinion better than the Boeing 787, anyway it's more comfortable, a quieter ride, from inside the jet outside, well, I don't really know but it's certainly is more a pleasanter ride !
The E175, Bombardier and Airbus are best choice, avoid Boeings.
AirAsia need to keep up their game cuz Cebu Pacific is looking great in 2023 2024.
Well not really - they’d ordered the A320 & 321 Neo variants from 2012 onwards so they’ll be the one with the newer jets much sooner….
@@oldchinahand1305 i see.
Anyone ordering A321neo should order Cfm leap engine. ,PW operators are spending a lot of time grounded.
It's mainly because of the time taken to inspect the engines rather than them being bad
Is the CFM engine an option offered by Airbus for the A321 neo?
@@raymondmassie4898 Yes, the CFM International LEAP-1A
From what i've seen, even with the downtime of the engines the PW still saves them more money than the leap ones, or at least that's what I've seen online idk for sure
@@raymondmassie4898 Yes, the CFM International LEAP-1A.
The whole of Boeing Corporation can only produce 24 aircraft per month. If you order a Boeing you just join the back of an enormous queue stretching for god knows how long. Potentially a decade. By the time you get your plane, it will be totally out of date compared to Airbus.
Airbus is continue growing 🎉🎉🎉🎉
So is boeings when the media doesn't grind them

Hello!
Question: How many Pilots are usually needed to Operate a Plane?
If a Plane makes only Money when in the Air, that would suggest at least 8+, but what is the real average?
If Cebu wants that many Planes (and assuming growth and not retirement of current Planes), than the Industry is heading towards a Pilot shortage as Cebu isn't the only Kid on the Block.
I have also been thinking about this! Hopefully someone will answer
typically 1 for light or private, 2 for commercial and less than 8 hours flight, 2+1 or 2+2 for longer than 8 hours
@@ama6487 You didn't get the Point at all.
Don't worry about pilots. The issue is what airport are they going to park there planes? NAIA is already congested enough and PAL is reported that it is going to be based on the new manila international airport when done!
@@itsme-vw5yo Get an A380, they were build for that in mind. But I do worry about the Pilots. At 150 'new' Additions, they talk about hiring a few thousand people as well since there is more to it than just Pilots.
Good thing boing canceled the 757 program. Great decision for airbus.
Pilots loved the 757, but its economics weren't that good. To much engine and thus too much fuel consumption and thus too much running costs. The 757 was doomed from the start. It's oversized engines only help with a select few airports around the globe. Not enough to warrant its continued existence.
Everybody knows the engine issue but despite all warnings Turkish Airlines ordered many Airbuses with PW engines now they are all grounded
I hope cebu pacific will considered the Airbus A220 for regional flights, i would love to see a a220 in cebu pacific livery
Boeing has not given updates about the 787 HGW.
You maybe waiting quite a while considering there issues.
At least Boeing has something for its 787, if they can get these problems fixed, then they can get more orders
IF
@@michaelshore2300they cannot . They have built a lot of unsafe junk they can't sell to the world
They will boeing will do what it can
Boeing is (in)famous for loose bolts and fasteners tightened from the wrong side these days, ending up in loose bolts again.
At least that's something Boeing "can do".
@@jantjarks7946 they just need the common sense I know they have to fix the issues
I can’t even imagine what delivery dates for 150 new A32X aircraft would be - I think it was 2027 last time I checked months ago. The only way Airbus can make any additional money at this point is to bump up production rates.
That’s what they’re currently doing - aiming for 75/month within the next 2 years
Airbus is leveraging the Boeing fallout with the 737 max harrowing incidents as they have snagged several massive orders from both India and Europe.
But boeing have snagged orders from airbus from its mistakes and more features that fit that airline needs. Competition is key
The A320 has outsold the 737 for a long time. Boeing were selling the 737 in the 1960s whereas the A320 was introduced from 1984
It doesn’t matter if they get thousands of orders there are only so many slots the industry needs Boeing airbus needs boeing to keep it on its toes
The popular B737 Max.....no kidding...
It’s popular alright 👍
....with thrill seekers perhaps?
Yes got a problem with that
@@nickolliver3021 No, not me. But you seem to try to continously defend the indefensible. The Senate committee, the FAA, many passengers and many on this site have very big doubts about Boeing, its culture, quality assurance and products. As a result many refuse to fly in these products , if possible. And so do I.
It doesn't hurt to stop, take a step back and determine for yourself what the situation is. I did and my vote for the time being goes against Boeing. I'll reconsider my step when they change their culture and produce a quality product again.
You make your decisions, I'll make mine
@@ed7872 I'm not asking that question to you. I was directly saying that to Patrick. What passengers and senator committee and the people on this site that have doubts about Boeing? There are people on here and passengers and more have doubts on airbus too. Its culture and quality assurance and products. Many refuse to fly on airbus. So tell me why do they refuse? Show me an example. Why should you? And why shod we do it if possible? Why should your vote against boeing mean you should take a step back? Tell airbus to change their culture and produce a better quality product. You go tell airbus and I will tell boeing that people refuse!
Boeing needs to remove the "Proudly" word off of the "Proudly made in America".
Parts “made in CHINA”
american, united, ryanair, and southwest, to name a few, will continue to buy boeing even when their planes are falling apart and falling from the sky.

Farnborough Air show the greatest in Europe for Airlines, military, and Space. Wonder how many China / Russian spies will be there ?
PHILIPPINES PH PHILIPPINES MENTIONED
I think that Boeing has already lost hope for many new orders this year.
Philippines go for cheapest not quality so AB has advantage. Cebu has a lot of busses parked. I presume needing engines.
AB has a problem that CFM can only produce so many engines. So they still have the no engine option. For NEOs
Are you jealous of how successful the A320 neo family is next to the clunky 737max? Oh well, did you not know Southwest is planning to drop the max7 soon LOL

PW1000G is next level. So short sighted to think The Leap1 instead.. cant compare the 2 motors. Like any clean sheet game changer there are obv growing pains when intro’d into service. Leap is old technology that doesn’t sniff performance , noise, emissions and of course smokes all like engine on fuel burn..
yeah it is game changer when aircarfts have to spend more time on the ground especially in humid and hot countries
The PW1000 and LEAP-1 are within a hairs’ breath of one another in terms of actual performance. It’s just that PW have dropped the ball and really screwed up with their new engine.
MCrASh is a four letter word.
A319neo orders where
(There are no new A319neo orders)
No surprise with the A220 available.
😉
Their margins are better on the 320/321, and the 319 is a lot of plane for the capacity - they knew the 220 would undercut the 319 and I don’t think they mind at all, kinda why they bought out the CSeries.
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Boeing can’t even get their Starliner space capsule right. Two NASA astronauts are stranded in Earth’s orbit waiting on NASA and Boeing to find solutions to their dire predicament. “ Popular 737 Max family”? Not with me. Why would anyone get on board one of those death traps?
I completely agree! Boeing should admit it, have some dignity and go for a clean sheet design. If you put make up on my grandmother and sexy underwear she is still a grandmother! The design was too old to be updated. Boeing took a chance and lost. In my view I think it even looks ugly. However, I can’t knock Boeing for their other products. The 777 is one of my favourites. I hope they take their time to get it right to bring the 777 X to market and don’t feel pressured. Boeing make them wait! Get your house in order and show the world what you once did.
The 737 was popular for a very long time. The 737 Max continued that popularity ... until it started dropping out of the sky. I could see the max still being popular in the sense that most orders in the Boeing book will be for that type. Simply because it is a smaller plane and more of those can be sold. Still the Boeing shilling is preposterous.
Does the goat respond? It would make my day! You’re my fav UA-camr!
Boeing are their own worst enemy thats for sure and until they can get their act together i dont see them reaping any rewards in the near future especially with the continues delays in their uncertified backlog of models. There is just too much negativity from the head down and until that attitude changes i dont see how they can attract new large orders.
Jokes
That is the most biased cometary . Starting with Airbus key in argumentative toward European growth.
No, just honest.
Boeing dug themselves into the hole they are currently in. Airbus didn’t do anything to force Boeing into their current problems.
Telling the truth isn’t biased - if anything the commentary was overly nice and conciliatory towards the crap that is leaving Boeing factories at the moment.
Let’s pretend aircraft don’t contribute to global warming.
Your vegan meal and electric car has more acumulated carbon emissions and environmental destruction than the aviation industry. Cool it.
