Kaido's bounty is higher because over the years he fought against the world government a lot of times and was even planning on declaring an all out war with big mom. Kaido fought like the entire alliance and even his own kid and still beat luffy multiple times all while carrying an island. The saying is “in a 1 v 1 always bet on Kaidou” and that was absolutely right. If the entire match from beginning to end was kaidou vs luffy kaidou wins for sure.

I know Morgan doesn't have much pull on bounties but what news he spreads needs to be considered by the Marines and worked around since they can't control him

Kaido defeated Luffy several times and fought a bunch of people besides him, It's clear that Luffy wouldn't have won a fair 1v1 against him. But I think he should have a higher bounty than Law and Kidd for obvious reasons
People forget when Luffy beats a villain he doesn't see them as a threat anymore even during a rematch, Oda does this so people understand that Luffy does surpass every villain he beats and Kaido ain't no exception. The only reason his bounty wasn't higher was because Kaido was a pirate much longer and was part of one of the strongest crews in op.

Another thing is the influence of Kaido, territory and his blackmarket are the reason why his bounty is high.
I'm kind of tired of people acting like just because someone's disrespectful to you, you should automatically swing on them. If someone's already enough of a dumbass to claim that your bag is their own and bend down to open it, you can't really bet on anything if you go to hit them.
In addition to that, why do so many immediately resort to violence when someone acts afool? When dealing with those that are ignorant, incompetent, or just idiotic, why would you ever choose to lower yourself to their level by choosing to fight as your first option? There is nothing inherently wrong with getting physical with someone if necessary, there are a lot of people who words won't reach, but when you have the ability to deescalate and get your way out of a situation just by speaking to someone, it's almost always going to be the superior option. Being more mature shows enough when it comes to situations like these, just keep your composure.
I feel like a lot of the time, disrespect is such a big deal to people when it really shouldn't be, it's a matter of people not wanting to look like they'll let anything slide if it's degrading towards them, it just boils down to one's own pride. The thing is that everyone needs to learn how to put their pride aside, especially in situations like these, you don't need respect from anybody to be someone of worth, let alone from people who are the skin tags of the human race. You gain nothing from making them respect you, you lose nothing from them disrespecting you, so why play the game when there's no way to win?

I think once your bounty goes beyond 2 Billion, the increases would be much lower thereon. Otherwise, the likes of WB would've had higher bounties than they already have. King still has a higher bounty than Zoro despite the latter beating him.
Kid, law, and Luffy were working as an alliance. So the combined bounties of both Kaido and Big Mom of roughly 9 billion, were split evenly between the 3.
Luffy though, for almost taking out Kaido single handed and being the unofficial leader of the alliance, was given the Yonko title out of the 3.
Ig to the WG kid, law, and liffy defeated big mom and kaido, so they gave them 9 billion bounty because that's what big mom and kaidos was when combined.

Kaido was in rocks pirate crew, has a big crew and army of beasts, manufactures smile, took control of whole Wano and enslaves people to work in his factories and has done many atrocities which was threatening to people and world government. Luffy deafeating Kaido doesn't mean that he should have a bigger bounty than him, Luffy did almost nothing compared to what Kaido did in his life.
It just only a matter of time...one day he will surpass everyone.
And kaido is the type of mf to be ready for war but just needs a reason to, like at marineford when he got stopped by shanks

It is easier than that ,the world government gives bounty depending on the menace this people represent to the world and obviously Luffy would never be such a menace to the government as kaido is.
Actually the real season was because the world government believes that it took kidd law and luffy to take him down in the end so they split the bounty between them
Bounties are also how bad they really are because Luffy does not kill innocent people but Kaido does also the reason why before Kidd had a higher bounty than Luffy

The reason Luffy’s bounty is way lower than Kaido’s is because the government in charge of bounties (not Gorosei or CP0) knew very little about how Wano took place. They just knew Kid,Law, and Luffy were the main pirate leaders of the operation. It’s why Kid and Law got inflated bounties and Luffy’s is there with them.
It makes sense too. Zoro picked off King yet his 1.111B bounty is 300+ lower than Kings same with Sanji and how Jimbei was given a higher sum than the cook. Brannew didn’t know the details of Wano and Gorosei aren’t going to reveal the details either or about G5. Better to let the marines think Luffy,Kid and Law worked together when it was mainly Luffy responsible for Kaido losing
I love how everyone in the comment section is actually wrong this time and the video is correct 😂 The Gorosei themselves pretty much made that clear when they said they wanted the D. erased from Luffy's name and originally had a different picture for the wanted poster. The 5 elders literally made all these plans to not allow information on Nika to spread out, which is why they made Luffy, Kidd and Law's bounties all equal. But Morgans had other intentions.

to me, it's because Shanks, Shanks's bounty is 4B Berry, if Luffy's bounty surpassed Shanks, means it's time for them to meet for the hat and probably a fight, and it means the story will end earlier, we kinda can predict that the final major battle will be Straw Hat crew vs. Kurohige crew since Kurohige is the big bad villain, so probably Luffy's bounty will never surpassed Shanks, and the time when Shanks and Luffy meet again is when Luffy's bounty finally surpassed Shanks
i thought it was because wano is pretty much closed for the government so the news didnt reach them correctly so they thought kid law and luffy defeated him together instead of luffy pretty much alone

Kaido was functionally invincible to them, surviving numerous execution attempts.
Also, luffys crew is like 10 people. Kaido commanded an army! That means a lot.
While Luffy has allies everywhere, they'd be easy to pick off while separated as they aren't directly in his crew
How I looked at it is it’s still a bounty for wrong doing/who the world government wants to take aim at. He’s a thorn in their side for sure but luffy doesn’t terrorize whole Regions like kaido
Law, Kid and Luffy’s bounties combined are also just barely above Big Mom and Kaido’s combined bounty. The government wants it to look like they all pulled their weight equally and that Luffy isn’t anything special.
I also think it’s cause kaido been in the game longer and was on the rocks crew. Meaning he has done more stuff then luffy so that’s why it’s higher.
Kaido has been a pirate much longer and was on the Rocks Pirate. Even if he isn't as powerful, which isn't true, Kaido has been a pirate for longer.
This is like asking why Shanks has a higher bounty when he's been a pirate for MUCH longer.
Kaido has been a pirate since before Luffy was born.
Bounty aren't like if you defeat someone you can get higher bounty,
Bounty is the decided by government by how much threat they possess to the WG
Kaido and BM was threat for WG for way too long of course they were strong af but but their knowledge territory and massive army it's all come to counting.
Side note: ik world government trying to down play luffy so they give him same Bounty as kid and law even if that wasn't the case i don't think his bounty would've surpassed shanks.
Kaido was also a weapon manufacturer so that plays a part in his bounty
He also needed mad help from other crews … just luffy vs kaidou ended with him in the sea literally dying until a whole ass other crew had to save him … I think 3 B is pretty good and after egghead it’s definitely going to surpass kaidou
Bounty is calculated on total achievement.. Luffy's total achievement doesn't come close to what the previous Yonkos had.
