    Thank you so much for this video! It's not that instagram video, it's real life. That's how millions of families around the world live. You had courage to show it.

    I'm speechless after seeing this situation.. I have a huge respect for you and your family... such a tiny flat, so much improvisation, sacrifise... I just can't believe you all lived here for soo long. You are so modest and dedicated, you are awesome!

    Mariah! I am revisiting this video to show my kids! They keep complaining about our house in Oklahoma is so small (1900sq ft) compared to our last house and they want to move back to California. As much as I would like to move back to California it really bothers me how they think this house is small. Clearly they haven't faced much adversity in their life! I think it's good for them. I admire you! Also our baby proofing methods are similar. If I were to give anyone advice is to start of small so that the kids are grateful for what they have. You have shown me the light about how europeans live and value having experiences more than home space. I love that!

      @MariahDolenc  Рік тому +2

      It’s hard for Americans to believe how small Europeans’ living spaces are. Maybe if they live in NYC they have an idea. Maybe. I love that you’re teaching your kids gratitude. So important!

    O ti ljubi Bog... če je potrpljenje Božja mast, si ti bila ornk na debelo namazana z njo. Vsa čast, Mariah. Vsem, a še posebej tebi. Žal pa niste edina družina s prostorsko stisko. Niti ne morem dojeti, kako je biti stisnjen v malem prostoru s štirimi drugimi osebami, ker sem Bogu hvala doma na vasi in je normalno, da si v dveh korakih zunaj, na vrtu, v naravi. Vse dobro vsem kot bodoča družina šestih srčnih duš! Naj Bog obilno blagoslavlja vse vas. Lep pozdrav iz Dolnje Prekope.

    Mariah 👋 živio! Verjamem da si utrujena od vsega že, pol pa še selitev pa to...Imaš zelo lepo družino in lepo skrbiš za otroke kar je pohvale vredno na koncu koncev je to najbol važno da držite skupaj, si pomagate in se imate radi🤗❤️. Tudi jaz nimam vedno pospravljeno...saj to je čisto normalno če so mali otroci v hiši. Je pa lepo da se trudiš uredit stanovanje! Bravo! Lep video! ❤️

    19 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. -Matthew 6:19-21 ESV
    The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe. -Proverbs 29:25 ESV
    He who loves money will not be satisfied with money, nor he who loves wealth with his income; this also is vanity. -Ecclesiastes 5:10 ESV
    Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. -Romans 13:8 ESV
    We lived four of us in a one-bedroom apartment for 4 years, but God is good. Now we pay MUCH less, renting space in a house from our mother. But we're about to move into our own debt-free house. Thank You, Jesus! Congratulations on your move! Well done! 😊

    Well, my husband and I would live in a similar sized apartment for 2 years . It was even smaller than yours - 33 square meters but it had a balcony whicb we would use as additional fridge in the winter time 😂 After our son was born the place became a disaster since there was not enough storage and things were laying around everywhere (you can imagine I guess). We also didn't have space for a proper crib. Luckily we moved to a new house when the baby was 6 months old.
    So I understand your frustration but you are not the only one in the world who needs to cope with small place for some time. Many of use been there! Despite all circumstances you and your husband managed to set up a beautiful family and get a nicer place eventually so no shame at all! :) Enjoy your new house!

    Ahh Mariah, let me beat you by size 😁 We are also living in Ljubljana (in front of Citypark) - 2 persons (waiting a baby), 16 m2. We are urgently looking for bigger one, but because we are foreigners we are usually not chosen as tenants. We are currently in the process of acquiring a plot of land and building our house in Ljubljana surroundings. Glad that already live in your new house and there is space for everyone.

    It seems that apartment blocks, vertical living, are what city planners preferred for Slovenians, compared to the British who convert houses with larger rooms (with a garden/yard) into apartments. The only problem here in Slovenia is that they designed the apartments waaaay too small, creating cramped environments with no outdoor space. After experiencing this myself for the past 12 yrs here in Ljubljana, I would definitely prefer to have an apartment in a house that have larger rooms and outdoor space any day.

    • @MariahDolenc

      It is way too small. We are very fortunate to still be this close to the city, but now knowing how great it is to have a house and a garden I would totally live outside of the city to have the space. It is levels better on the soul.
