    Guys if you are going to install drop spindles, make sure you have 16 inch wheels (some 15s fit but it varies). YOU CANNOT USE FACTORY 14" WHEELS with the drop spindles!

    I have a 97, and it's lowered 4 inches in the back. I was installing this and when it was all said and done, my rims are too small. They are 14s stock nissan rim, but it grinds on the bottom arm, and the tie rod

      Yes, you can’t use the factory 14” wheels with this kit. We have that on the description as well. Some 15s work and some might still give you issues. A 16” for sure should clear the spindles

  • @junkyardhillbilly
    @junkyardhillbilly 2 роки тому +1

    Should be riding like a Cadillac I just figured you would have lowered it a little bit lower but it looks good the way it sits but then you are running a 16-in rim so it's not going to come down much more probably go to a 15 in rim 50/15 that will get you down a little bit lower

    • @FlakeGarage

      Rides way better than the Mazda that’s for sure. We like the 16s right now so we are happy with the current stance. If anything maybe it’ll be dropped an inch more in the future

      I would look for some nice shocks that can accommodate whatever height you have on the truck. For a smooth ride you might want to get softer shocks. Also a good tire with a good sidewall will also help your ride be smoother. Low profile tires make your ride more harsh

    Ok bro. I got my front and rear kit put in 4inch block s and 2 inch drop spindles ( got pull the torsion a little bit to get the front down more ) .. but here’s my problem. My tie rod end is rubbing the inside of my rim . Stock steely rims ( Side note ) .. so I’m thinking bigger rims is a must not going to work with the stock 14 inch rims .. but I also thought a spacer would work until I got my new rims in . So what do y’all think .. yeah I said y’all ( down south ) lol

    • @FlakeGarage
      @FlakeGarage  3 роки тому

      You CANNOT use the factory 14" wheels with the new spindles. Getting some spacers might help but you definitely have to upgrade to bigger wheels to be safe. I think we missed that on the video itself but we definitely added it to the description above the tools list. 16" wheels will clear everything. Anything smaller might clear with the right specs but I'd recommend just going 16 and above

      Depending on the size of the tire you might just scrape on steep entrances and hit the axle on the frame on big dips. You'll need some better shocks as well but I think it's all very manageable
