It breaks my heart that Spur had to endure lack of attention and care once again... I am so thankful that the people at least reached out to you and that you took Spur back. I am especially happy that Spur will be in good care with Ray and his family..... his sweet soul deserves nothing less ❣️
Yaaaaaay for Spur going to a place with a good rider that obviously loves animals! And I really loved the grandma and grandpa! They will take great care of him. I love the braided halter they put on him. 🥰 I hope we'll get updates on Spur. He's stolen my heart!
I watched your video about trimming Spur's hooves because it came up in my 'suggested' column and it said he was neglected. Had to find out how he was doing. It's wonderful to find good people exist out there and he will have a home. I hate to say this but sometimes people take on animals because they have a mental illness caused by the need for love and to love. It's heartbreaking they can't care for themselves, never mind animals. Of course I don't know what happened in Spur's case. Where I am, the ASPCA has a horse rescue facility right beside a prison. The trusted inmates who want to, get to volunteer to care for the neglected horses. I firmly believe it changes some for the better, because a friend of mine was there.. I see you are open about faith. I am an agnostic but love Christians, if that makes sense. Every morning I pray God will find me, and carry on the best I can. I have to care for the lost people in my life, I can't take on animals but it warms my heart you are there.
I’m a brand new subscriber. Found you through Spur’s journey and I had to see it through to the end. I’m so in love with him. I’m sure he’s living his best life now. And I absolutely adore this channel. I’m so happy to have found your channel. ❤️😊❤️
It sounds like Blue Mickey has rain rot. A good way to get rid of it is to give her a bath with an antibacterial soap and make sure she is completely rinsed. After she's dry, take coconut oil and massage it into the area. Coconut oil is an antibacterial. Put a light sheet on her to keep the dirt out of the sores until it heals. The bacteria is in the dirt she roled in.
Sounds right. Whatever the cause, the treatment seems ideal & easy to accomplish. Considering the location on the back, it might've been blisters from being saddled with a dirty blanket, getting sweaty & irritation from abrasion. Maybe having the saddle left on with a sweat soaked blanket, and maybe from being ridden by a heavy rider and all of the above to deal with. Hope it healed up.
Hopefully this time it's the right fit for this good-natured pony. Such a shame that these animals are treated as such commodities and sold back and forth,. Especially when he was already neglected once. He has such lovely gaits.
She has rain rot Allen, iodine mediated shampoo works great for this. As the scabs soften I gentley remove the crusty scabs, when washing them. The hair will grow back. I have one mare that always gets this during the summer. My other horses in the same field never have this issue. Some are just more prone to this then others. 😊
My mare gets rain rot almost every year too. I pick the scabs and sponge on Betadine. (sometimes Polysporin - she seems to get great relief from Polysporin for some reason)
Just watch your video about Spur. What a sweet pony, he will make someone a very special addition to their family. What a big transformation with his hoods. Cordell did an amazing job with a nice assist from you. Spur is truly lucky you found him. How I wish I was younger I’d be the first one in line to be able to adopt him. Happy I found your channel will be working my way through all your videos.
So glad to see Spur back. I adopted a dog that had been injured and blinded in one eye. Best dog I ever had. A Farrier would ensure he gets proper care. Please provide updates.
My young horse has fly bites on his underside. My vet has me putting Vaseline on the irritation. She says that will keep the flies off of him. It’s working!
I'm thankful the original folks didnt keep Spur with the way that boy was yanking on his mouth, hopefully this will be a better fir for him. I don't think it was done in meaness just ignorance that their parents didn't adress.
Gran and Grandad will ensure Spur is well taken care off and wow a little cowboys dream come true hope we get to see them together. God bless you all and have a great 4th of July
I do absolutely love the way you talk to your charges.......shows you care. Our neighbor's peacock decided the image in the bumper on our brand new truck was a challenger. Used his spur to scratch it all up. Not impressed. he always was one step around the truck ahead of me. crazy thing....I couldn't help but laugh.
Do you have those awful huge horseflies out there? I swear they are carnivorous ! They have a bite that easily can draw blood so maybe the bumps are horse fly bites. Having the whole fireplace that belonged to your grandparents is AWESOME not just for the sentimentality but it is gorgeous and really dresses up your entertaining area!
I agree with a couple others, I think she might have rain rot ☹️ but if it is, its easily treatable, just give her a good bath with a medicated shampoo, but make sure you rinse it out good!! And get the flakey parts off. So happy your getting so much done with your new tractor 🚜. Go eat breakfast 🥞 Love and Blessings to my farm family on Route 66 ❤️🙌 Jennifer
Awe, what an awesome fit with Ray and his family 😊Good luck Spur, gonna miss seeing ya 🐎 romp and play on the farm, but Ray will give him a loving home ❤ along with Olaf, Jack, and Jill. Blessings always 🙌 Jennifer
Well, that just tears it! If I’m ever in a position to give a peacock a good home, I’m naming it Fred. P.S. You’re right, peacocks are beautiful. The problem is… they know it!
🙏❤️🙏YA'll NEED Border Collie "Doggie"~ They're BRILLIANT Quick to Teach, They LOVE to HERD... it's Natural ~ We had them on our Horse Ranch and were such a GOD send ~ We never even had to Teach them to Roundup the Horses 🐎 ~ They just knew ~ They get along with all other Dogs... Remember ~ They love to please, so just simply telling them "what to do and not to do" is enough ~ ♡LOVE♡ them ~👍🙏✔️
I agree to. Rain rot. Braggs organic Apple cider vinegar with mother dilute 1/3 cup vinegar to 1cup water pour over bumps and let sit for 5 or 10 minutes rinse.....
I’m Native and the farrier and his wife remind me of my people. Ray reminds me of one of my uncles. My grandpa’s name was Ray(mond) also. The goat crying, “No!” Had me laughing.
I have peacocks and peahens. He is a blue shoulder. Fred would like a mirror , to look at himself. Cover it with some wire to cut his view a bit other wise he will think it is another male and will want to fight with himself. To bad you weren't closer to Ontario Canada, I have about 20 peafowl and they quite enjoyable.
It was easy to see the the family who took him was not a fit, I'm glad to find the update, even though I'm very late to the game on his story. I hope it works out , I had hoped Spur would be a pampered pet and nothing more with maybe an older woman. He is old enough to just be awarded a gentle kind existence. Too many people equate a horse or pony's value by if you can ride them. The relationship with them and their happiness should matter most. Liberty work with horses is something I wish people would do more, especially to build a relationship. I'm sure they are a good family, don't know anything of them, sounds like they are - but the whole cowboy thing makes me cringe, always seems to be a dominance thing, ego involved - even with kids in that culture. Exceptions of course , I hope Spur is getting an exception for a change. All that aside - grateful to the person who bought him from the auction in the first place - saved his life , and to TFOR66 for giving him care and a safe place to start over from. Good on ya. Good luck Spur , what a great pony, deserves some peace and kindness.
Could be from flies or rainrot if rainrot use 50/50 water & Listerine (I used yellow, friend used blue) lol... in spray bottle! Spray on 3 times a day for about 4 days and it should be gone.
Rain rot had a colt it did the same thing I could not figure out what the bumps were and I took her to the vet and he said that’s rain rot I have never seen it like that so it is possible
Is that rotational with other farms? I'm from Ohio. We don't irrigate-- although this year we should...no rain. I thought farms had retention ponds, etc so you could irrigate whenever you wanted.
It breaks my heart that Spur had to endure lack of attention and care once again...

Glad to see Spur found a full grown cowboy in an 8 year old body!!😂😂.
You and me both!
@@TheFarmonRoute66Update please?!?
Could they be bot flies. Boy, she’s beautiful now. You’re a good animal daddy
Poor old Spur. I think anyone taking a horse has to realize what a commitment it is.

Sweet Spur!
The little pony needed his own permanent family, l hope he's happy now.
I saw spur before in your video. He was also neglected at his new home 😢
I hope this will be his forever home ❤ 🙏🥰
Thank you Ray ❤
I hope that Spur has been doing well, he got a little relief, and I hope he gets the break he deserves.
Yay!! Spur finally found a loving family!! 💕

@CherylAnderson-qs4iq At the time, she was only a year old, so it wasn't from being ridden.

I’m so glad that Spur Is going where he will be loved and well cared for.
Sweet baby boy deserves the best❣️ Thank you for making sure Spur is loved!!! ❤️♥️❤️
I'm so glad Spur has found a good home.🐴💞
Thanks for the update on Spur. Sounds like he has finally found a good home with Ray and Emma; certainly hope so, anyway.
Wow. Was sure hoping his eye would be ok. He's still great❤.

Been watching for awhile. Thank you for sharing 🙏
Thank you for showing Fred the Peacock ❤❤❤
In Hawaii, groups of Peacocks fly up into the roosting trees at night to sleep, they like high roosting spots. Your truck looks like one of those.
My young horse has fly bites on his underside. My vet has me putting Vaseline on the irritation. She says that will keep the flies off of him. It’s working!

In another video I learned that Wilma the Peahen disappeared
Blake is very creative!
I love every one of your videos. Love you routine every day, saludos desde Las Vegas ❤😂🎉😢😮😅😊

You talk about riding, but i saw that Spur is so happy when he has a large field to run around fast!! I hope Ray has a large field 🙏 🙏 🙏
If a peacock got up on the hood of my dad's jeep, I'd honk the horn to get it off.
Spur is going to a good home now and will be rode and taken care of! Those little tractors are sold as fast as they get them in around here!
A female peacock is called a peahen.
Correct me if I was wrong.
You are correct. Males are peacocks, females are peahens.
What a lovely farm! I wish l could work with you! 💝🇬🇧
This video was so nice I had to get a second cup of coffee to watch it!
Thanks so much

So happy for Spur what a great fit!
@3:23 Blue Mickey, it sounds like hives.
Nice interesting over here as Gary and Cassie said to check you out so will stick around and view, I lived in the 60’s to early 73 in Phoenix…
Hi Alan, isn't that the best news for Spur❤.
He's so beautiful, thank you Ray and Family 🐦.
Happy 4th of July Weekend 🏖🎊🎉💥🇺🇲.
JO JO IN VT 💞
Thanks so much!!!
I use M.T.G for rain rot you can get it at tracktor supply.
👍
You could put some "bag-balm" on the bites, it will soften the crust and medicate them. Bag-balm in the green tin works awesome!
Take a picture & send it to your vet
She'll be able to give you a better idea
Enjoyed following the story of Spur and wish him the best with the new family. Have a great 4th of July !!
Spur would be a perfect fit with Rays family!!

Actually, an Australian cattle dog!!
I agree to. Rain rot. Braggs organic Apple cider vinegar with mother dilute 1/3 cup vinegar to 1cup water pour over bumps and let sit for 5 or 10 minutes rinse.....
Sounds like rain rot! You can scratch them off, but make sure they are dry or they will bleed and get a infection ❤
Didnt Ray and his wife also get another pony from you for their grandkids? If so what lucky kids!
Skip to 12:10 minutes to actually hear about the pony.
I’m Native and the farrier and his wife remind me of my people. Ray reminds me of one of my uncles. My grandpa’s name was Ray(mond) also.
The goat crying, “No!” Had me laughing.
Everyone born in USA is "native".
Rain rot , where rain gone through to the skin,
How do you get rid of it?
I have peacocks and peahens. He is a blue shoulder. Fred would like a mirror , to look at himself. Cover it with some wire to cut his view a bit other wise he will think it is another male and will want to fight with himself. To bad you weren't closer to Ontario Canada, I have about 20 peafowl and they quite enjoyable.
Animals know good people..
I once planted hollyhock seeds and the flowered the first summer!
Enjoyed the video ALLÀN 😊
Sure is a beautiful horse.

Love your videos
Peacock and Peahen.
Mimi’s is gorgeous
Dehorn😊
I love Brownie's brown colour ❤ All your animal friends are so Wonderful❤😊
Your outside fire place looks great!! Great video!!❤❤❤❤❤
Alan, you try to remove one? Could it be rain rot?
Ring worm does that too..
Tea tree oil is excellent for bacteria, virus, fungus, etc. Or oregano oil works too but it is a warm oil so may not be good if in sun all day.
Chlorhexidine is that how you spell it? I use it in my dogs hot spot if they get one.
I would try to apply swat to the back it maybe fly strikes
Good morning from the Palmers in Surf City, CA🌊
Could be from flies or rainrot if rainrot use 50/50 water & Listerine (I used yellow, friend used blue) lol... in spray bottle! Spray on 3 times a day for about 4 days and it should be gone.
Was going to suggest the same. And if you use it on mane and tail, it makes them really soft and shiny.
Rain rot had a colt it did the same thing I could not figure out what the bumps were and I took her to the vet and he said that’s rain rot I have never seen it like that so it is possible
How do we treat it?
@@TheFarmonRoute66 Banixx
It's not tick bites. Our horses here in Kansas and Missouri get them also. It's insect bites.
Hi Alan, my dog is named Nugget.
I think it's rain rot on Blue Mickey.
Maybe use some M-T-G on the bumps. Good for skin issues. I know it works for Scratches.
Do you think those bumps under the skin might be burrowing parasites. ? 🤠🇨🇦
No
Sounds like "rain rot."
Heel flies sometimes lay their eggs and they come out of the animal ‘s back as grubs.
Gross
Look into rain rot
Hello from FL
Could be bot fly larva. Had them in our cattle sometimes when I was young. Just guess though.
Maybe rain rot or those darn no see ems..we get the no see ems on our horses chest....
🤔
❤
When you say "getting irrigation" what do you mean? You don't just turn on a faucet?
We get water out of the ditch from pumps every 17 days
Is that rotational with other farms? I'm from Ohio. We don't irrigate-- although this year we should...no rain. I thought farms had retention ponds, etc so you could irrigate whenever you wanted.
Thought you had a hen when you got Fred? What happened to her?
You can be guaranteed that Peacocks will poop all over your vehicles.
Ticks? Horses can get those.
Oh yeah horses can get them. Here in Canada for sure
Sounds like it could be rain rot.
❤❤❤❤
May I ask, how much do ponies sell for these days. A pony like spur?
When I was a child we bought a big pony for $75.00.?
sounds like Micky has what is called rain scald or could be lice....dust with cattle dust or if rain nscald wash with iodine soap
