    23 dislikes?
That's proof that the twisted, the haters, the tone deaf and the blindly stupid you will always have with you.
Sadly, this was, is and will remain part of the human condition...
The rest of us will just appreciate a wonderful tune, played with skill and passion...

What on Earth is there to 'Dislike' here? .. (Sigh) .. Stunning piece of music beautifully played.
What a national Anthem this would make to replace the oul' dirge!

Jonathan Ryan too slow to be a national anthem.

Why so concerned with the dislikes? You do know that others don't have to like what you like, right? How about focus on YOUR likes and ignore the rest?

    Mothers of Ireland...............
Standing at the gate waiting for her son.. daughter to come back home ..
the waiting heart of the mother throbs for the expectation when she sets her eyes on her children again .....thinking, when the heart will rest in their embrace... and the notes of the
music take the easing of the mothers heart ...Lord give me ease, or my heart will break in two... give my heart ease Lord.
To give thanks for Your Mercy Lord of my heart, for seeing her children again.
God bless to all mother's waiting for whose children live far away .

During the time of Brian Boru and beforehand
Thou I have never heard this music before it seems as though I've heard it many thousands of times if only in my dreams.

The tune played on the tin whistle is MOST DEFINITELY NOT Mise Éire, but an old traditional song called RÓISÍN DUBH. The fact that SeánÓRiada arranged Róisín Dubh and other old Irish melodies in a film for RTÉ in the 1960s ( called Mise Éire ), is what people remember, and thus they THINK still that the melody is called Míse Éire also. Which it patently is not. MurrayFlood

@@malscan2808 ua-cam.com/video/iRSJYYvhmx4/v-deo.html -- this is the film Mise Éire (made by Gael-Linn in 1959) for which Seán Ó Riada wrote his magnificent score, largely based on traditional airs. There are other recordings of selections but this one will give you the whole film -- which is well worth watching!

The tune is only a small part of the beautiful music from the 1959 Irish language film 'Mise Eire'. It was written by the great Irish composer Sean O'Riada. You should listen to it played by the Irish symphony orchestra. I found it on cd as recent as couple of years ago. One note on the sleeve describes the music as,'Once heard its never forgotten'.

This music is a Lament to all the Mothers of Ireland of past and present....when the heart has no rest, and cannot sleep in peace.
Give my heart rest O Lord! give me respite.
O! Holy Mother l feel your pain for your Son, like mine. When will my heart live again, for my sorrow dear Mother, is too, too heavy!
The nights are loneliness of the darkness, l cannot see where l am, for the darkness is heavy and my heart is laden with grief...there is no ease.
l turn to you Blessed Mother to console me, as l console you for all your children of the world.
My lament is small, but yours is for the whole of creation...O! how your agony is beyond compare....... for all the children of the womb.
Your only Son was taken from you, torn from your heart...beaten, ripped, and scourged
mocked, raised on a Cross and killed. He only died for you and me.
To all mothers feeling the grief of there children.

Pity it's only about the cliffs- There's SO much more to see in Munster - and some just as spectacular as this. What's so great about Doolin Pier?? Having lived there (Doolin) from the mid 70's and started the sessions in McGann's I know how beautiful it is - but I left and won't go back. I live in Munster by choice. That ain't (just) Munster.
Pity - I'd claim false advertising.
I certainly won't be posting it on any site I own or use. Or recommend it to anyone as a clip of Munster. Nice music.

Ireland brought forth the Boru Pipes which were an improvement and have a greater range of notes. The Uilleann pipes? When I don't care from them, I actively dislike them.
