Good review!
Thank you for watching!
Thank you!
I'm glad it helped!
Thanks so much for the great review Simmy Singh, i really appreciate it!
If I may ask, I'm just starting with a tight budget and I'm trying to upgrade from just relaying on natural light to make videos, so I picked up the Godox sl-60 but the mic (Audio technica at 2020) can pick the fan noise even from over 6 meters, I have a very small space and i'm using a smartphone to record. so I’m considering budget plan B (maybe Godox VL 150) to pair it with neewer 60"/152cm octagonal softbox, as i want to record a very delicate instrument (150 years old classical guitar); here is my attempt; @
i watched other reviewrs mentioning that the new version of the SL-60 does not have fan issue, and I'm not sure what to do, plz advise!
Salute from Varese, Itlay
The audio technica at2020 picks up dogs barking a few blocks down from me, so I understand the struggle. I would suggest if you have a budget, go ahead and purchase the Godox Vl150. I can stand right next to the light and can't hear the fan. My recordings have not picked up the fan. They did improve the Godox sl-60 fan noise but it does still show up in audio recordings and it's not the level of Godox Vl150. As per your mic, since it's a condenser mic, it will pick up a lot of background noise. Try either speaking closer to the mic and editing background noise post edit or purchasing a budget dynamic mic. The neewer 60"/152cm octagonal softbox is a great budget option. If you have a higher budget go for the Laofas softbox, if not Neewer makes great products as well. I hope this helps and thanks for watching!
Awesome video! How many kg is the entire box before you unbox ? I am considering if i can carry it on plane. Also what tripod do you use for this VL150? Thank you
It's 16 pounds. That's a lot to carry. You are better off ordering from here amzn.to/2UU3w2a Also I use a budget stand which you can buy from here amzn.to/2YLsamS Save your money. It gets the job done and is of good quality.
