@@infeltk Yeah but on the video is it an old volvo. I guess you are german when I looked at your profile. I know that in german you are proud of Mercedes, BMW and VW group. But I'm optimistic to the fact that Volvo, polestar and geely came to go together and make a big global group like VW. Because I Think that it is very hard to survive on the global market if you only have production in a small country like Sweden. I talked with a taxi driver who have drived taxi in 30 years and many generations of Volvo. He told me that the v90 is the best car they have because it's have least problem of all car they have. And the V90 is not more vorse than older once. It still have the swedish quality with starts without problem in 20-30 minus degrees. I know that People with VW and BMW have talked about they have problem with that sometimes. A regular problem here in Sweden on winter is that the trunk freeze so you can't open it. But seldom with a Volvo. So some of the swedish quality are still there.

G. Cast Lift off oversteer is a factor in any vehicle. FFs are famous for it mostly because it’s the primary way to get one to drift. You can’t power slide an FF so Lift off or breaking drift is the only option.

Very easy to correct tho most people react in the wrong manner and brake even harder got to get that weight back but still slow down to avoid an accident it can be tricky I've had a few moments back in the day where I thought I was an f1 driver and was very lucky but you learn from it personally I think they should teach car control as part of your driving licence would cut accidents rates down surly ?

You were on the second lane speeding at 260km/h, it was not his fault mate. There are two aspects: you didn't turn signal and you were shifting lanes on such a short distance, so he couldn't see you coming that fast. Other than that, nice video and keep up doing POVs! ;) Drive safe!

When you are driving at that speed you don't stay in the middle lane period (unless there is a faster car than you at 260 km/h), the accident could have been very bad. Regardless it was a good video, especially how that Volvo could do.

When you drive in that speed it's only safe in a circuit. Race track whatever. I read an interview with Michael Schumacher he said out of race circuit he only drives at 70km max. Reasons are 1. He don't have his team to check on his tyres condition. 2. Can't trust other drivers. 3. Can't trust the roads as there may be debris, rocks etc.

When I am driving in germany +200 I am always staying in the left line. There is no point in chainging it and I have overtaken dozens of marked and unmarked police cars who didn‘t give a fuck about that because it is safer to do so.

And that's why you need to use your turn signals. Your fault, other guy went back in his lane immediately after he realises you are going to left lane, he could't predict where will you go without you using turn signals. Stay safe.

Guy in the front did not even look in his mirrors (or maybe he just looked at the left one). From my experience you should always check inside mirror first, then the left one, then change the lane...

Second this comment, if you're going fast make sure you have the tyres and brakes to bring it back down to 0kph if required.

This has happened to me way too many times and really is the most scary thing to experience glad you pulled out of that one, but maybe if you stay on the left lane for the speed runs drivers will see you easier from further just my thought

I miss my 2002 V70 D5, 2.4 diesel. Chipped to 245hp (177hp original) and easily reached 240km/h.
And if u drive it economic with cruise control I was able to get 1300km out of 1 full tank. 5cyl are the best with a unique sound.
02 d5 is 163hp original and the injectors + turbo run out of breath at 220hp

The person in the VW almost killed this guy, I have owned a S70, not a T5 so it did not have the same sturdiness as this one but its not all that different, but at 200 km/h plus the car is not very safe when braking as you could see. A factor could be that our driver doesnt have headlights on and doesnt use blinkers, only position lights.
The problem is that this guy going in the middle track, if u go 250kmh why dont use a left one, if he goes in left and use long lights he will see him 100% and this doesnt happen!

@@ucube33 It's piss poor car control on both parts; break it down into the system of car control. I'm a paramedic and we've passed the blue light driving courses in the UK for driving our car.
Wrong information given; no headlights, you can see that on the video, just sidelights on. Should have used a long headlight flash if you're going to be ballsy at that speed.

You are correct.. He was in the middle lane, can't see if he had his headlights on, going 260 km/h in the middle track and not indicating he's going to pass.. It was impossible for the VW driver to notice him.. Nevertheless, the VW driver did eventually see him and returned to his middle track.
Good reaction by both drivers, no one had an accident which is the most important thing!
I have to add one more thing when you mentioned braking.. This the difference between regular fast sedans and sport cars (supercars).. It might reach that nice top speed, but when it comes to braking and handling, Volvo's braking was a great example of how tough it is to brake on that kind of speed.

I have this highway cruiser, and it really doesnt feel like it, youre going 220 and you dont even realise that, it feels like youre going 100, overall the character of this car feels safe.

In Germany, you don't eat and drink in your car, you drive and are always 100% concentrated at high speeds!

After a few near death experiences you will start thinking about your family. And maybe about other families as well. These tests are fun, but best avoided on public roads. You can't expect all drivers to see everything all the time.

My old 1999 V70 managed 130mph (210kmh) on the autobahn but was rattling a lot and doing just 5 mpg (47l/100km), so I didn't go any faster... but it wasn't floored and had plenty more to go. But we had to get back to England so if anything was going to go by going even faster, that would have been an unhappy ending of a holiday. 4 years on and now 192,000 miles (309,000 km) she's still going strong, but there are rattles. In Dutch, old cars like this would be called a "rammelbak" which is a sort of rattly skip! This C30 isn't a rattling jangling and is really smooth. Probably because estates are less rigid than a fixed head coupé.

Да уж, прёт классно. У меня был Форд Эс-Макс с двигателем Вольвовской разработки пятицелиндровый турбовый 225 л.с. Так наваливал люто до 230 км/ч. А эта машина вообще крутяк!

У новой 240 кобыл и макс скорость 235 км/час. При замене турбины 280 кобыл и 260 км/час.

For this reason the estate models have the little spoiler in the back. It doesn't look like much, but it plants the rear to the road when you are going fast.
Edit: We don't know what tires he has and what his suspension setup is. In V70R the speed doesn't feel like anything. First or second generation.

IMO at 4:31 I believe its more like a driver´s mistake, you´re doin 260 kmh on the central lane?? While other cars are circulating in front of you? Clearly you wait too much to move to the left, the other car notices your move late but not so late as you´re not even on the left lane totally.

Bro this car design is about 25 years old and this example is from like 20 years ago... a modern Volvo would not respond like that. Maybe this one has worn out suspension etc as well.
It also has 20 years of wear on it. But I agree, that was bad handling and that car clearly needs some work.
