MUC-OFF Pressure Washer Review. A bike specific low-pressure pressure washer?

- When Muc-Off first showed their bike specific low pressure pressure washer, I was scratching my head. Surely, this is just marketing bs? Now that my Karcher burnt out, I bought one, here's my thoughts on it.

If you read the instruction manual that comes with the pressure washer, it specifically says only use the bike nozzle for bicycles, as the others are too powerful & you would therefore run a high risk of doing damage to your bicycles.

If you had two bottles of concentrate, where would you decant and dilute the cleaning solution?
They're normal bottles, I (and many people I think) have loads of them already. The main reason I said that is because there was also a bunch of packaging plastic used.
@@UnicornBikes I see what you mean, but I think they just want the kit to be, "away you go, it's all there" it's pretty good you get 4 litres of concentrate too, it makes the washer more of a bargain,to be fair, I only buy the concentrate, to save on waste
Fair enough. I remember Guy Martin had these concentrate tablets though, I'm going to look in to what happened to those.

The pre-mixed bottle is so you have a spare bottle to mix it in yourself.

You spray from the cassette to the rotor. That can contaminate the rotor with oil, or wax if you use that. Be aware of the direction you spray, even if you just use a hose

Muc off is a brilliant brand you weren’t using it properly or giving a fair review and they really do try to help the environment by making ptfe free products and concentrate they give the normal bottle to attach to the snow foam lance

Muck off seams to be identical to snow foam which can be bought at a fraction of the price. I spray it on from a hand spray and wash with a cloth and hose, no need for any undue pressure
Just cleaned my bike with a hose and muc off shampoo cleaner… wasn’t any slower. The slowest process was manually putting bike cleaner on
Agreed I do this manually and with a hose + microfibre cloth. Very easy to do, and extremely satisfying
wow, still looks like way to much pressure. i'll just keep using a garden hose and sponge
Don’t worry about wheel 🐻rings, 15bar is 217Psi, you sneeze harder and secondly they’re sealed.

Well, this is kinda disappointing. I’ll go with the Bosch Fontus on it’s lowest setting. It’s even battery powered and comes with an 15l tank, so you can bring it with you.
The motorcycle attachment is for motorcycles NOT ebikes and is not suitable for ebikes, since the electric components make ebikes even more delicate.
I also don't really get people pressure washing bikes since it will definitely wear your bike much faster then when you just use a sponge and garden hose with no pressure

had the same happend to my karcher K4, its covered under 2 years warranty give it back and they will replace it with brand new unit
You could do with some gravel on the bit of lawn for drainage where you wash your bikes as wrecking and flooding that part of lawn nice washer loud though

I got this pressure washer.. it came yesterday and im not happy at all.. so I followed all the instructions and every time i turn it on and i used one of the tips either motorcycle.. bicycle.. or muc off one there would be no pressure coming through and it would still come out like hose water..

It’s created to not ruin ur bike it’s like a hose with a spread and is a lot more controllable
They give you the one mixed so you can reuse the bottle

My m8 deals with muck of and the jet was is actually a rebranded karcher so your paying more for a karcher then you would if your purchased it from b&q lol just use your own jet was and buy the bicycle attachments. Also who cleans there's bike on the muddy garden when there a paved area 5 feet away 😂🤣😂🤣

I wouldn’t even wash a car like that. A pressure washer is good for textured surfaces like stone, walls or similar.

Tall_Tri_Guy lots of times. I used to bring a sponge and a bucket of water + $2 in quarters. Never used the high-pressure setting.
Even where ive had chipped paint ive never had high pressure lift any paint. Must have some really shitty paint jobs where you guys live.
Karchers are overpriced rubbish.
A pressure washer for bikes, what a stupid piece of marketing garbage, a karcher is no good but our is, utter nonsense.
