Thank you for the tips on feeding bow fry. I mix SM and GP. Kali Tawa and Aytinjo fry doing well. Cheers Brantley!

TLDR; Avoid methods of daphnia culturing that require feeding dry foods, more trouble than it's worth
Still listening the replay but i believe easiest and low maintenance hack for daphnia is seasoned algae buildup and microfauna biodiversity rather than a "clean" culture. I think Alex @ Fishtory has had success setting up his outdoor tub that way.
The next easiest way i've seen is Tony at Philip's Fish Works does the batch culture method with green water in 5 gallon batches, transferring healthy daphnia from previous culture. Keep 2-3 buckets going, one making green water, one old culture, one new culture. Pretty easy

2 weeks for an order? I was in TN and it never look that long for me to get anything from the co-op. That’s weird.

I’d say if you were working in a warehouse getting a living wage in the Seattle area and being offered a chance to take a transfer at your same pay to go live in a state where less of your money goes to taxes and living is cheaper, sounds like a killer deal. Now, not to be political but I’m sure a lot of his employees just based on where they live might not want to move to a super red state. I live in CA and if I got offered my pay in a place where houses cost 1/2 and I didn’t pay state income tax and paid me to move there I’d likely take it.

Yea not many ppl will agree with you but you make a lot of sense and alot of the pet hobby are like that. Very blue idk but if you work for a company and have the same job when you move your pay doesn't really change also Cory doesn't seem like the type to cut your pay especially when asking you to move. How do I know when he hired zenzo, zenzo himself said he was being paid very well before so in order for him to move Cory made him whole.

@Bentley Pascoe Being local to the Coop, did you place many online orders or would you drive to the retail store? I’m 45+ mins from the store and only make it there 2-3 times yearly.
Never placed an online order, so hopefully the warehouse move doesn’t impact me much.

About 1 trip to the store every 3 orders.

Maybe they are working out the kinks? I am on the East Coast and I would get Aquarium Coop shipments in 3-4 days. I was always pleasantly shocked. I haven’t yet placed an order from the new warehouse. I think it is fair to say that Corey treats his employees better than most.

I expect that this is the case. I’m sure that it didn’t (typically) take two weeks to ship orders from Seattle to the east coast. If it did, Co-op wouldn’t have had much east coast business. Maybe there are reasons it would take longer going east to west, but I don’t see why.

I’m in AZ. Placed the order on May 1 and received the order yesterday, May 7. Really no difference in time. I thought it odd, at the time, the order was coming from Kentucky. I hope he gave those that stayed a severance package of some sort.

I feed new rainbow fry once a day but they are in well established planted tanks. Lots of little treats already in the water. PS turquoise rainbow fry are accepting of room temperature. 😊
