    So ready for the new yearly special! I'm brand new to the game and 4 days into my first week solo. So far I'm loving the work and your videos have helped me so much. Today was the first day I was able to fan successfully and ironically it was when it was using an 8 ft pole. Just mimic'd what I saw in your videos and it came naturally. After that I tried it with the chest level windows and ended up nailing it. Lastly I was able to cut in on the left side of the glass on shop doors and clean the entire thing in a few motions, just like in your video. Very satisfying work to say the least. Thank you for all the lessons brother! \../,

    I’d like to see a video about fanning on a pole. Talk about the handle and angle you use. You’re one of the best in the business using a pole.

    Mr. Steaveo,
    I am practicing cleaning windows on my house, and am getting OK at it. I do a lot of detailing to make it look perfect, but they look great to me when I'm done. Should I go out and start bidding work, or keep practicing till I get better?
    I still do straight pull method.

    Nice video, I love doing trad when I get chance. Been cleaning a long time but I always get diagonal rubber marks on the top corners? I soap the mop, prime my rubbers and don't put too much pressure on but they still appear?? 🤔

Also tried that royal blue one can’t Mind the name of it and man was that bad lol.

    What do you recommend for a 16 yo who has needed equipment and has already started going around the neighborhood looking for jobs. The cost of living in my hometown isn’t as high as a bigger city and I want to be able to grab a few jobs so I am starting with a base price of $50. My question is how to fix streaking, and what would be some good marketing tips? And what are some good tips in general for a first timer? If I could I want to turn this into a business by the end of this summer with a steady income or by next spring/ summer.

    I'm a homeowner that decided to try this method with Dawn soap instead of straight pulls and the Ettore liquid. One thing I'm noticing is that the ends of the (old brass) squeegee are not pulling the water off the glass. Do I need new rubber inserts or is it just poor technique on my part?
    Also what is the ratio of Dawn to water? I have lots of suds and may be using too much soap.
    Thanks

    Longevity question: I miss the days of the UA-cam window Cleaning era. Just 5 years ago, UA-cam was filled with great window cleaning content...you Steveo O, Luke, the Window Cleanse, even Marcus (who was at odds with many it seems, but RIP to him, sad). Seems like the content has really dried up...lots of change. I think I get it, as most just get busy with the business (what happened with me). But the question is:. How is your body holding up? I've been in this a bit over ten years, and the only complaint is my elbow on my dominant hand...the aggressive fanning after millions of panes is likely the culprit. Ever have any issues? Been considering doing more straight pulls to make it easier on the body, but it's a hard transition, as fanning is just so natural. Here is to all the OG's.

    • @SteveOthewindowcleaner
      @SteveOthewindowcleaner  2 роки тому +1

      I 100% agree, UA-cam is unfortunately fading and now that people can make 7 second long videos and get millions of views, UA-cam is not appealing to the younger generation.
      As far as longevity, my back is the worst thing that has happened to me, to the point of no return with it and have to be really careful. I try to keep my squeegee touch a lot less now as far as pressure and that has helped resolve any elbow or shoulder issues

    • @visciousadventures
      @visciousadventures 2 роки тому

      @@SteveOthewindowcleaner I can't believe how much pressure I used to use. Now, it's more Winsol/Dawn and maybe a bit more cleanup, but saved the arms altogether. Smarter not harder. The back issue is pretty much there for all of us I think at some point. Lots of stretching is in my world now. Never thought I'd have to "warm up" for some window cleaning lol. Btw, I have people all the time ask me about a video they saw on TikTok, mainly when I'm fanning (probably showing off a little I must admit). They stand there and just watch, and say how satisfying the movements are -- pretty sure that was your video they saw. Making the rounds here in Indiana/Michigan/Illinois lol
