Crazy how the T7 doesnt go down to REF speed by itself unless you take control of the IAS dial...also no need to press app button on the MCP is pretty cool too. Nice vid!
I did RNAV to karachi 3 times, first time it put me down on a building lol (I believe I didn't set the QNH properly coz active sky was on a wrong mode) second time I found myself high and to the right of the runway. after that the first update was released and my 3rd RNAV attempt was perfect
I feel like irl this mode should be toggleable through the fmc, to reduce the chance of mode confusion so close to the ground. It should also have a separate checklist to make sure all reqs are met, so no cfit couse smn put in incorrect pressure etc x)
I hoped to make a bit more progress over the past few days, but I was just really exhausted after my flight. 9 hours time difference is just a killer for the inner clock. But there is progress!
Thanks for the informative video! Are RNAV (GPS) approaches flown the same way as this RNP approach? Just curious why the 777 and other airliners aren’t equipped to use LPV guidance on a GPS approach? (It seems strange that a Cessna 172 with G1000 can fly to lower minimums on a GPS approach using LPV, than airliners using LNAV/VNAV).
Not me absolutely butchering the RNP Rwy 09 into Denpasar Ngurah Rai Intl(Bali Intl) after a 9 hour flight from Dubai 🤣🤣🤣 the entire way over the weather favored the ILS 27 approach, but as I got closer the wind casually strolled to a complete 180, and I lost my confidence 🤣 3000ft IAF, down to 2500, and finally down to 1700, all within 4.9 and 4.3 DME, I never panicked so much in my life 🤣🤣 had to take over and make an absolutely top class manual landing considering I was so out of the procedure limits 😂 Coming from Airbus aircraft, the Boeing logic is truly special, but that’s why am taking the time to learn it, for the time being though, if I ever consider Bali again, I’ll look for the weather to favor the ILS until I master the RNP 🤣
Will the B777 descend at the FDP if the annunciation is vnav alt with the DA SET at the MCP with out pressing the altitude knob? Or it will only descend if it is on vnav path? Thanks!
I don’t know why every time my speed touch the amber line on the speed tape it goes by itself accelerate . So always happen when I select flaps 25 , what I am doing wrong
@@kickedinthecalfbyacow7549 Intergrated Approach Navigation. It gives you an ILS like display for an RNAV approach. Airbus have a similar version called FLS or FMS Landing System. In the 737 instead of leaving it in LNAV/VNAV you can press APP and it will give you a different readout in the FMA and ILS like diamonds to follow on the PFD…..but it’s still an RNAV approach
When I want to understand something clearly, this is where I’m coming. Thank you for the great and concise explenation ❤
There’s a lot to remember in this video, ie all the conditions etc, will need a few watches. Thx for explaining a complicated subject so clearly
Thank you very much!

I am ready to fly a 777
Same lol
I’m good too
I've just tried the RNP AR approach into Rw 13 at FSIA Seychelles in the 777. It would make a good subject for a video tutorial!
Can't wait for the ebook. And these free videos are more than enough. It reminds me of the good ol' Angle of Attack video courses back in the day.
Awesome. I’m going to fly some of these tomorrow in marginal weather to make it more exciting.
I never learned so much in a tutorial series unreal! Thank you so much!
Quality content Emi! Thank you!
Thank you so much!
The pure amount of quality output is amazing. Do you even have time off sometimes? Do you see yourself flying the 777 in real life some day?

Waiting for ur engine failure video in oceanic environment along with the escape maneuver and the whole 9 yard 😄🤘🏻
Really enjoying your videos. Learning so much from them👍
Very nice video with great information and good explanation! Could you maybe explain all FMA modes in the 777. 🥂
Tnx a million❤

Superb episode really!🙏
Hope the ebooks going well? Really looking forward to see it when ready

Very Minor point purely for correctness you said 165kts - flap 1 😅 (265). I watched and listened carefully 😁
Great video as always. How do I know when it's an LOC approach and not a LNAV approach?
If you have a localizer available and are cleared for a localizer approach, then It is one.
It is basically an ILS without glideslope.

why did you not dis-engage the auto throttle on approach ?
You don’t need to on the 777/787
what if I cant set rnp 125 ft because I get an error on EICAS nav unable?
Come on, Emanual... enough 777. We need MD11☝️😆
How about a GLS?
I don’t think those are coded in MSFS
Is there an IAN mode?
No
@@A330Driver ah ok. I like that feature on the 737. Just makes RNP approaches a bit simpler to use for similarity to ILS
Where to find the EBook ?
He is writing them, they aren't published yet
When do you use APP mode on a non-precision approach?
I think that it's not used in the 777
