Using the correct QNH setting is crucial for this approach! Imagine low visibility conditions and the pilot has tuned 1013 HPa instead of 992 HPa: the altimeter will overestimate your altitude and you will probably slam in those buildings before the threshold!
Love these information videos. I’ve watched some 737 videos of yours to learn some fmc as I noticed similarities, ex. Extending the center line which is a useful tool to have for NA landings. Hopefully you continue these in depth tutorials to the way you did the 737. Love the videos, please keep them coming ❤
I should be able to finish it in the next couple of days - then it needs to be proof-read and then I can release! Not sure how long the proof reading will take though so I better not give an estimate.
Can you look at doing a VOR approach. FAOR 21R VOR DME Z approach, I keep failing on this, I guess in the real world they will be vectored for the setup. Thanks for all the hard work.
I’ve heard from lift and safair pilots regarding what their favorite approaches were. They mentioned that the VOR DME are fun but they have to be precise Majority of VOR DME are very intricate approaches, with the FO And CAPT rely solely on johburg approach controllers vectors. Although it is possible with good fmc technique, an Airfield like OR Tambo is at an elevated height above sea level. I’d recommend using a program like beyond atc. I can’t advise u cuz I’m still in my training but it’s just info I’ve picked up on. Also the B77W would probably need even more precise vectors due to its hindered manuverbility in comparison to the safair 738s and Lifts 320. I’m sorry for yapping and I don’t think I helped much but best of luck
777-300ER PMDG is pretty cool,I did few flights before the last 777 update and were pretty good but after the update something is weird less frames and it feels laggy.,With the A320 Fenix and 737 PMDG the simulator is working normal
Could you do a tutorial for a VORDME approach like the one at DAAG (VDM 05)? The T7 does not have VORLOC capabilities as I found out in last night's stream :(
There's not really much to say about them. They can only be loaded from a database and not manually entered and with LNAV the plane will fly them. Nothing more really.

You're absolutely right!
No, the auto pilot uses rad alt, it wouldn’t be affected by an incorrect altimeter setting
This is insane, theres no better realistic instructions for MSFS. Always thank you emmanuel!

As always so interesting . Thank you Emanuel ! 👍
Speechless👏🏻
Thank you for your great videos and your great explanations! When will you release your ebook?
Wait to the ebook nice video

@@A330Driver I am so excited waiting for the ebook 😁
Can't wait!😊
Really clear explanation thanks!
Cant wait for the ebook
Great video my friend.

Any crosswind landing video with FPV? Thanks!
As always, thank you
Definitely would like you to cover more procedures like this one! Why turn off the FD though just wondering.
Hey just wondering if you have a custom camera file for the 737 including the captains view. cheers
I noticed the last few 777 landings always with auto throttle on. Is there a reason behind it? Does it have this annoying Auto Trim like the 787-8?

Have you contacted support? They're pretty good!

Hi, you fly ANY non precision approach as described in this and the corresponding VMAV video.
On the 737 you’d fly it using LNAV as well btw 👍
You could fly the approach using TRK and VS if you wanted to
Hey, could you make a DME ARC tutorial for B777-300ER?
There's not really much to say about them. They can only be loaded from a database and not manually entered and with LNAV the plane will fly them. Nothing more really.
Do you have any tips for approach DME ARC with VOR mode in ND, like a HSI, by hand on 777? like enter in arc or when start to config the airplane?
Using without FMC in case for navigation
Amazing that you provide us with these detailed videos! Much appreciated.
11:25 Unfortunately, too late. ALT mode active but good reaction to it. (;
