Dont ever pause while listening to guitar solo
Don't EVER pause during a Judas Priest song, PERIOD!!
You probably dont give a shit but if you're bored like me atm you can stream pretty much all of the new movies on instaflixxer. I've been streaming with my girlfriend for the last few months :)
@Jerry Houston yup, have been using Instaflixxer for years myself :)
Rob Halford one of the greatest metal vocalists. From Birmingham England. When he talks its soft proper English.
He's not as good as Bruce Dickinson
Craig while I do like Bruce and maiden better, I have to disagree. Halford is technically the better vocalist as far as range and stuff, not to mention technically the greatest metal singer to ever walk this earth. While I do enjoy Bruce much more all the same. He’s much different and his voice/writing I can relate to a bit more, and maiden has that stunning sound that I thoroughly enjoy. They are my all time favourite band and I’ve seen them many times and seen Priest zero times. So coming from a Maiden head, that owns thousands worth of paraphernalia and every album twice, some 3-4 times (CD, cassette, vinyl, and digital copies), to say Halford is not a better vocalist is just a matter of opinion and perception. He is the superior voice as far as heavy metal goes.
Proper Brummie.
@@clcartlidge that's an opinion....I love Bruce, but Halford is the superior singer....
You dont know Rob Halfords voice until Victim of Changes
OMGOSH YES! The US FESTIVAL 1983 version is the BEST live version I've ever heard, I was getting ready to become a Senior in HS and Judas Priest, Maiden, Ozzy DOMINATED heavy metal back then! I wish I was 18 again......sighhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Beyond the REALMS of death!!!!!
@@monicajean37 couldn't be more spot on with that live performance it's amazing
@@monicajean37 no sir, unleashed in the east is the best live version (ish)
or Sentinel live
To give you an example of how great Rob Halford is, and how revered he is in the metal community, I will lay it out as simply as this: Rob came out of the closet and revealed he was gay and metal fans (who were historically somewhat homophobic) basically said "Yeah? Who cares?" Halford is a top tier vocalist and an absolute legend. Nothing will stop metal fans from loving him.
historically homophobic? no
@@IronMetal just curious, how old are you?
When he came out, everyone was homophobic. Even most gays.
.. lol. Maybe not in La Houston New York and San Francisco. But Fort Worth Texas, to Chicago, you didnt want to flaunt it or idiots would jump up on it.
We were shocked, even stepped back for a month, or a year, but hey.... gotta learn somehow, and Rob helped is with our unrealistic fears.
@@partimeintellectuals8525 Exactly. I started listening to metal in 1978 when I was 11. Throughout the 80's, metal fans were not very welcoming of the idea of a gay man in their favorite band. And if they suspected someone was gay, they didn't want to know about it. When Rob came out of the closet, I didn't care because I never cared one way or the other, but I was pleasantly surprised at how many fans were just fine with it.
Historically homophobic? WTF?
Dude.... I could listen to this 30 times 40 times a day. It's raw energy. The drums are incredible, the guitarist is faster than lightning... It simply blows my mind, and the vocals are freaking fantastic. The words do tell a story... The painkiller destroys the elite who have caused pain for the masses, and leaves the ordinary man to reclaim his freedom and his destiny.
This was Judas Priest's "thrash" album, showing that they could keep up with the new generation of bands that they influenced that included Metallica, Megadeth, and Testament.
@@maxotto9877 I was there!! Amazing show.
@@maxotto9877 I saw them in Detroit that tour.
Keep up? Priest mopped the floor with them 🤘
They couldnt come close to brutality of SLAYER though.
Actually it was with Painkiller's follow up Jugulator (with Tim "The Ripper" Owens on vocals) that the band had a way heavier Pantera/Metallica-esque groove/thrash sound. There are some really HEAVY songs on that album. 🤘
holy shit, those 2 solos are one of the best i've ever heard..
He is the "METAL GOD."
Yes I listen to this for pleasure lmaooo
You guys are awesome
You just heard the greatest metal singer, from the greatest metal band, sing the greatest metal song, it's a goddamn trifecta!!!!
Greatest Metal band is debatable, but as far as greatest Metal song of all time: there is no debate in my opinion. Painkiller is the Greatest Metal Song of All Time!!💯
@@maxotto9877 what about psycho holiday, strike of the beast, curse the gods, stargazer, caught in the middle, domination and such
One of the greatest metal songs of all time 🤘🤘
1990, can’t believe it is so early, ya know?
And Rob Hanford has the most diverse voice and different voice. Yes there’s Ozzy, Ian (Deep Purple), Corey Taylor, and Dio, and so on and many others but nothing like this.
You guys might laugh and think it sounds funny like most people, but the more you listen to it and use headphones it’s just mind breaking almost. He is one of the GREATEST singers ever.
So this is 1990, they have early 70s stuff. Sounds so different, their whole discography is amazing!
Next you should do Breaking The Law, You’ve Got Another Comin’, Heading Out to the Highway, Beyond the Realms of Death, etc.
AWESOME BAND. Again it’s Rob Halford been the singer all their years. Amazing.
Rob halford has not been the only singer for priests all years. Tim ripper owens (he is underated)
Yes he has. He was not the singer in the 70s -_-
Not what I meant.
He also doesn’t compare so.
He can still belt it out at 70 yo
@@iamtuckalicious eyy Tim is a really fucking good singer, but I see what you mean now.
Temporary Rare not quite all their years. Tim “ the ripper” Owens sang on two of JP’s albums when Halford went solo
As expected, painkiller is way over your tolerance level. Rob Halford is the metal God for a reason. The best way to listen to that is a very loud car stereo that's capable of rattling windows 100 yards away. Dont watch the original video, you lightweights will have a seizure.
Video not tough at all.:)
Lightweights...that, my friend, is a big time understatement. Who would listen to Judas Priest just riding down the road? Me and damn near every other metal head on planet earth.
Holy, calling painkiller minus 100 are you two as daft as what you look and sound? Like really, don't do reactions and then start calling the best metal band of all time down. I'll never watch these two ya hoos again.
@@zeem3366 ~ You got triggered...by a Reaction video, and then declared you'll never watch them again because...feelings. You're not Metal, you are weak tinfoil. Here's a tissue, now go find a hug.
@@d4mdcykey You know nothing about me. I've been a metal head more than likely before you were born ok. I've been listening to them since 79 and if you're so metal maybe you should stand up for what is right, for what Priest stands for instead of agreeing with these two obvious morons
Oh my God forgot about this banger! Hope you guys ate your Wheaties lol
Great heavy metal song great live band music sounds great 👍
You guys are killing it..
And me.
I.cant.breathe.
One of the Best album of the 90s. I also like the song night crawler from this album.🤘
The whole album is good. A Touch of Evil may be my favorite.
Loved this thirty five years ago in my gto and still do now bro
@dave freeman LMFAO that's too funny man thankyou :D
you think this guy's voice is wild? Wait till you get a load of King Diamond haha. Please react to Sleepless Nights by King Diamond. Peace from Australia
Just pick any song from Abigail album
King Diamond only sings in Falsetto... Rob Halford is a superior vocalist.
This is a beautiful song 🌠🌠🌠🌠
I'm 58 years old, I have been listening to Judas Priest since I was 17 and I have seen them live 8 times (would have been more but for the last 30 years I've been living in a place where it would take 5 hours to drive to the nearest place they play). Their music, over the years, goes in many different direction but it is all Metal Gold. Rob Halford is the singer. He has an incredible vocal range. I have never heard this song with so many pauses. It really does take away from the experience.
DUDE! Judas Priest is The Godfather of heavy metal! Painkiller is one of their alllll time best records pressed yet.
OZZY
Sewer Machine Ha! What about Fartbourne? The dude sucks now.
Easily one of the best intros in metal.
This is the perfect song to listen to when you want to do anything very very very quickly and/or aggressively. It's the musical equivalent of 30 coffees, a case of red bull, and probably a hit of PCP or cocaine.
Rob Halford one of the Greatest Metal Voices !!!, and Glen and KK so awesome.
It’s a great workout song! Rob Halford is the vocalist. His fans call him The Metal God. He’s amazing! Listen to more of the Priest. Scott Travis is the drummer. Crazy shredding on the guitars. Thanks for reacting to Judas Priest!
No doubt, he is the guy!
Best Metal song ever. Word.
Great one but for me is Holy Wars from Megadeath (don't know why i mwntion from Megadeath i'm sure you know that :P)
So many great songs from this band, screaming for vengeance, hell bent for leather head in out to the highway...electric eye..., and that drummer, by the way, Scott Travis from Norfolk Virginia
This song is part of my cardio workout mix, and I've had a double bypass
“This made me relive every wild moment in my life”
LOL !!
Great comment fella and Rob Halford (the singer) would take it as a huge compliment.
Trust me.
Your reaction when the guitar solo started was awesome
\m/ Another excellent reaction. Rob Halford with Judas Priest has a voice that reminds me of Bruce Dickinson from Iron Maiden. Nice and loud. You guys should check out some live Pantera from Moscow and see how big of a crowd they had. Great video. =D \m/
Their early days was NOTHING like this.
The line about the motorcycle is great. Great video. Subscribed and the bell.
No matter whoever reacts to it, I always pass a like when I listen to this song.
I can totally see when ur minds get blown
just a little added thing ..Rob Halford of Judas Priest did a collaboration with BABYMETAL doing this song for an awards banquet ,,,,
A low in Rob's career. Baby Metal?... for f's sake...
68 years old and still sounding Great!!!!Saw them in concert last year and they kicked it!
It is on my workout playlist...add to yours...gets ya pumped to throw some weight around...Rob Halford is A Metal god
They eyes of the lad with the banda said it all...HOLY JESUS THIS IS LITT
Hey , we may be worlds apart, but you're pretty funny. Thanks for giving METAL a shot. Check out Exxodus Salt The Wound please.
If you are just starting on a Judist Priest excursion, you may want to try "You've got another thing coming". Great guitarists! They really rock. Thanks for reacting to JP. Blew my mind in concert. Both pleasure and puts me in a good mood.
Hell Yeah!!!! Keep rockin it.
Saw this live a few months ago.....been waiting years for that and it didn't disappoint! Fucking awesome
One of my favorite albums to listen to at work or any time. Masterpiece! You need to listen to the WHOLE album :)
Welcome in the Metalworld😘
That, my friends, is Mr. Rob Halford. His speaking voice is pretty normal . . . his singing voice had damn near four octaves in its prime.
And he's still performing; Judas Priest is getting ready to release a new album.
For comparison, Michael Jackson had just over four octaves.
"I don't know who would actually listen to this." I say exactly the same about rap or hip hop. You either get Metal, or you don't. If you don't get 'Painkiller,' then I don't know what else to tell you. To each their own. Metal is LIfe!
Nobody is ready for their first introduction to Painkiller.
Oh..... I was ready....I was so ready!!!!
Rob Halford. He does not speak like that when he normally talks but for his songs he does mostly. I think he was born in 1951.
Rob Halford is the lead singer. Judas Priest has a lot of variety. You can go back to their songs from the 70's and it will sound different from the 80's. They have adapted with the times, and they are still doing it today. These guys are the grandfathers of metal, right up there with Black Sabbath.
This gets you full of energy, if u didn't feel it that's prob cuz u were stoned af
LOL! These guys are so blazed!
React to Motorhead's Ace of spades.
His name is Rob Halford. Try reacting to their hit " You got another thing comin"
Listen every morning better than coffee ☕
🤟🤟🤟🤟
You guys look so baaakkkked
hahaha CONGRATULATIONS. You just survived the most metal song of all time. LMFAO
Not a cycle guy, don't hate anything, and this makes me happy, like supper happy.
50 year old man of metal.
You should definitely check out Motörhead - Killed by Death next
Here's the official video for it as well - ua-cam.com/video/FL7-sbiGlzw/v-deo.html
Fun fact. As a metal head, we relish songs and lyrics like these so we don't have to go to jail. That's why the metal community is so unique. We mosh the hell out of each other, but if one of us falls, we'll pick that cat back up.
Definitely listen to it for pleasure brother
I saw Priest on their screaming for vengeance tour in '81. 2 words... Mind Fuck. You guy's have great taste and great reactions!
You dont wanna go where this song takes you because you aint ready, metal is for us who was MORE
Not only do I still listen to this tune because I love it, it was actually the song I listened and practiced to every day when I was trying to learn double bass drumming
Bruh y’all are baked 😂 LMAO I respect it.
Wow wow this is the pain killer . The voice wow the drums the guitars
I dunno why but lost it laughing when buddy chimed in with "Going STUPID fast".
😂😅😂😂Justin, y'all are FUNNY AS FUCK! Love y'alls reactions and comments.
These PK reactions NEVER get old. Thanks.
One of the best metal songs of all time👍
Never ever pause Judas Priest.
Never Ever Ever!!!!!
Who would ever listen to this without riding on a motorcycle?
A VALID JUDAS PRIEST QUESTION!!
I listen to it for pleasure! The way you feel about this is the way I feel about most rap, when a million different words I can't understand sit on top of exactly the same beat (with a different looped cymbal) as the last 10 songs and it never...ever... ends... but it's saying something or another to whoever likes their wisdom from a 20 year old sports shoe owner. Good on you for giving it a go.
You should watch the official music video it makes the song even better watching them jam
Not everyone understands Metal. And, Metal is not for everyone.
Painkiller happens to be another way that Judas Priest showcases their art. Try Victim of Changes, Beyond the Realms of Death and Hellion/Electric Eye for different examples of their exemplary craft.
off stage, rob halford is surprisingly calm and soft-spoken
Outstanding song. Great pump up track.
We listen to this cuz were Heavy Metal War party Freaks!!! And Judas Priest are the Metal Gods!!!
There have been opera singers that said they wish they had rob halford's voice. Thats how good he is....
There was and there is a lot of 13 y.o. kids pleasantly listening to this every single day. I was one of them. You guys just wasn't prepared for that at all!!!
I do. I listen to this to decompress and relax.
One of the best metal bands ever! 50 years strong!
You obviously don't get metal music if you don't like this then I don't know what else to tell you
Rob Halford
Rob Halford the LEGEND...He started out as a Opera singer and switched to heavy metal
Thats Rob Halford. He is consider The Metal God most versatile singer 4 octave wonder man. He gave heavy metal the leather and spike look also.
I fucking love these two.....so funny
Honestly...A 1968 Black and white Camaro SS worked with this song just fine! Actually got me a few tickets....
Haha you guys are hilarious!!! Id be on a fat bike riding off too with you this some adrenaline pumping action !!!!!
The man is Rob Halford and he sings in 11 different octaves and maintains his voice throughout the 40 plus years of singing, do some research and watch some of their full live stuff. 🙂 Keep Rockin Gents.
Haa i grew up with this boys nuckle up ..incredible tune enjoy
Oh anf another Judas Priest song "Turbo Lover
Seee he knows .......Speed!!!! thats what it does to me & it feeels goood.
Rapid Fire off British steel is a shredder with opening lyrics - Pounding the world like a battering ram. React to that one fellas.
Instant headache for me! I was about to kick my dog! No sorry Bear,I wound ‘t do that to you!🤣🤣🤣
rob is the best singer ever fact! tnks from brazil
Long Live The Metal God!!!!!!
