I just want to say that this is absolutely one of the most amazing modules out there right now. It's my first Acid Rain experience and I'm excited to see what you guys could possibly come out with next. This thing and any of the Noise Engineering oscillators/voices is just instant fun and satisfaction, but there is so much you can do to finesse extremely complex and specific uses out of Maestro... it's so versatile, fun, performative, and easy-to-use. Thank you for designing and producing it!

At this price-tag an integrated oscilloscope like display would be nice to see what your chain actually looks like and what is going on. Much better than an external scope it could show the whole chain as it knows how long it is.
This way you could also easily optically step thru the chain and change single steps in a long chain.
I’d rather sacrify 1 or 2 channels for making the module more usable this way.
I guess it happens often that you made a long chain that you like but dislike one step.
I mean the claim is that this module brings the flexibility of DAWs into Eurorack, but it lacks in usability as we are used to see what is going on from the DAW

Most users no doubt will chain+mash waveform buttons to create random chains. Idea 1: How about the combo "random + chain, then [1-6]" to randomize the chain currently in that channel? Idea 2: While in chaining-mode, hit "clock+waveform" to fill the remainder of that bar with this waveform. Hit clock+waveform again to fill the next bar with that waveform. Do that up to four times to fill 4 bars with a waveform (most often lows, aka "rests".). I am really tempted to exchange my PEG (4ms Pingable Envelope Generator) for this. Can't wait for the manual.

I ordered the Maestro. Looking great. I don't get the reset & syncopated effect yet. What do you use to send a reset? A trigger from the Nerdseq? And why/how does the Meastro "know" the 1/8 note is the start even if you press the 1/4 note??

hmm I don't know if I'm totally clear on your question but a reset can come into the external reset jack, or come from a press of the "high" button in the clock menu while Maestro is internally clocked. Feel free to send us an email if you need further clarification!

I've never so instantly needed something! 🤣 It's more useful and easier to use than a DAW automation channel

Is it possible to change out a sequence in the middle of a chain, keeping other parts intact or do I have to start over building the chain each time to change it?

chains are a one directional process - there's no step editing like with a sequencer, so if you want a different chain you'll have to build it from scratch. Really we meant it to be a more freeform process as opposed to very precise voltage sequencing, hope this helps clear things up!

Can’t wait to get mine! How long can the chains be?
