Glad it helped! It can be super frustrating to have a beautiful looking candle and cold throw and then you light it and it looks so pretty and there's no scent! Grrrr!!!!

Just started my candle business and was having the same issues! Cold throw was amazing but hot throw is no luck. Going to make a new batch tomorrow with using 185 as new temp to add fragrance and see how that does. Thanks for the tips!

I would love a follow up comment or video. I would like to know about the hot throw after the trial, using the expert advice with Freedom Soy. Hot throw seems a problem for many users. Thanks.

Just started making Candles for extra income, I hope, lol, just got all my stuff in, will be doing 7oz Freedom Soy Wax (Greeb Bag) with Eternal Essence Oils and wiid wicks. I bought some glass beakers that are microwavable that I'm planing on putting the wax in to cool before pouring. The hardest part for me was trying to figure out how much scent to add, 6% is what I am aiming for and what I have came up with is, I need 12.4ml per 7oz wax.

How exciting! You may want to bump up the FO % to 8-10% since it's soy. I've found that you need a bit higher % with the Freedom Wax. I've not tried working with Essential Oils though so you may be OK at 6%. Looking forward to hearing your results!

@@sincerelyiceblue1620 Just tested the 7oz jars I got off Amazon and they are 5oz sold as 7oz -_- and yeah, I have been racking my brain on the right throw, I started making Warmer Wax Melts and at 2mm of scent to 3oz of wax for those puts out a nice throw cold and mild one hot, never knew wax was so complicated, Will be making a test candle with the 6% and I'll let you know how it worked out. PS. You deserve more views and subs, you gave some really great information.

Thank you! I know soy is hard to get a good HT with so I just keep testing! I think I may have found a really good combo though! Stay tuned! PS: THANK YOU! Share my links and spread the word. I appreciate the compliment. Thank you for making my day!

Thanks for your tips!! Funnily enough I decided to just heat to 185 even tho the bag says 160 bc i’m not getting a good hot throw, i’m hoping they come out good, they’re curing right now.
Have you tried The Golden Wax 415 brand? I made several with that and the hot throw seems to be better than this brand but it does have craters and not smooth tops like this wax.

Hello. I'm in Brenham & I've started making candles & really enjoy it. I'm using freedom wax & my cold throw is great, but I'm having trouble with my hot throw. Any advise would be appreciated.

And do you weigh your wax before or after you melt it?

When you are curing is it okay to cure different scents together and also do the candles need to be covered or can they sit uncovered.

Hi, had a couple of questions. I'm just starting out and I had recently bought (40) lbs of the freedom soy wax. Is that enough for now. Plus, (400) bags of cellophane bags cuz I make snap bars. (400) pippets for like drizzles. (400) logo stickers. I'm always afraid I'll run out of stuff. How often do u switch up scents . I try seasonal ones. Plus, in a long run is 8oz or 16oz better to buy of the scent oils? I usually get the 4oz ones. I also have like at least (10) snap bar molds in variation. If you could answer I'd be forever greatful. Thank you. ☺️

Hi! Love the questions! Congratulations on starting out in your business! Let me see what I can answer here: (1) The amount you purchase to start is entirely up to you. Just depends on what your goal is for getting started. I started with 10#!! (2) You will run out of inventory but that is not a bad thing! That means you're making and selling!! If you keep good records and order when your inventory is low (taking into account time for shipping to you) then you should be OK! (3) I have a TON of different scents. When you switch them is up to you. Many candlemakers have a Classic Line that tends to be the same scents all year round. This can range from 8 - 15+ depending on what you want to offer. Then, you can add / change and offer specials during the seasons. Just depends on how you want to structure your line. (4) Purchasing the larger bottles of FO will save you money and shipping costs in the long run. However, I recommend purchasing the smaller sizes to do your test batches and to be sure you actually like the scent before investing in the larger bottles. I have a LOT of fragrances! It's easy to go crazy buying them!

Lol it's fun. I'm obsessed with scents as well. I like the coffee and bakery ones. Thank you for your time ☺️
