@1havepatience happy for you sis, you thought i was a hater ain't ya? Lol. Its all coming together amd you will not even remember them troubling moments. Well done. Keep pushing
If I thought you were a hater, I would never have engaged with your comments - I simply would have ignored you 😅. It was just the tone came over quite brash. I recognise that many people are invested in my build journey and that's why I share the good the bad and the ugly and not to give the impression that it was all rosey from beginning to end. Thank you for watching and leaving comments 🙏🏽
@1HavePatience the pool is looking good though. I just think the machine room for the pool could have been made to a standard walk in height for the future without having any of you crawling or having to stoop to get in there. It ws hard for me to watch people wasting other people's hard earned money for their projects, whiles the could have been avoided. Honestly sometimes with our own people you have to stand your grounds to get what you want not what they want to do for you and to have you pay them. You are even lucky I didn't know the location of this project because I was losing it each time you showed us the bad and ugly stuff, made me so angry knowing how hard people have to work to make that money, especially from UK, most people think the money is just on trees there, especially when they hear you are from UK the start calculating you witg the current exchange rate. This is what made me lose it each time they did this with anyone, its not the diaspora alone, they do it to everyone.
I am so proud of you to have reached this milestone, congratulations 👏🏾🤩🥳. Thanks again for sharing your journey, it has been such a pleasure to follow. May you live long to enjoy what you have worked so hard for ❤
@princenikki that's the only way to get to the finish line building here... one step at a time. You have started the steps, which is WAY more than someone who is still dreaming about it!
Hello Patience, well done for your hard work. Your house is looking amazing. Please my question is with the stones in between the paving, is anything holding them in place against heavy rains.
Thank you very much. Regarding the stones, time will tell if heavy rain will move them from between the pavers. We hope we have eliminated that possibility by using large stones wedged together in the gaps.
Beautiful house , you must be very proud! One thing that I realize as you pan your camera around is the lack of trees and greenery in a tropical country!! I live in a suburb of DC and even now in the fall with leaves falling there is so much greenery!! So much so that we have deer , foxes , rabbits and ground hogs all over the place !!Its not unusual for me to look out the window and see a family of deer on my front lawn !! It seems that when people clear land to build there is no requirement to replant trees. Is this lack of trees and shrubs and bushes not the cause for the immense heat , erosion and flooding in Ghana ! On my street here in the US of about twenty houses and I would estimate about 2000 trees of all sizes !!
Thank you. Great observation. It is a shame that nature is not commonly incorporated into the surroundings when construction is taking place. It is often an after thought. I feel that in most cases, people think it's another thing to maintain, and they can not be bothered to do so. This is the main reason I waited till now to start planting my plants and trees because I knew whilst I was not here, they would not be looked after. At times, I wish I had an acre of land to grow everything I desire!
I think we forget that the more trees we have in a tropical climate the more poisonous snakes and critters we invite. I am all for greenery but there needs to be a balance in a tropical climate. Snakes, monitor lizards, scorpions tend to invade your space.
We done the foundation and brick up to lento, we will continue when we go back next year. Our plot is 100 by 70 but we are building two bedrooms first so we can stay there then start mean house. Do you think 100 by 70 is ok size, thank for getting back to me name sake.
I completely understand the smiles on your face-mission almost accomplished!! Go higher, dear!!❤❤❤
Aww thank you 😊🙏🏽
Nicely done Sis. You’re almost there. So happy for you ❤
