Ok...not gonna lie this ENTIRE derby sucked. I mean these heats lasting 45 mins-90mins. Guys...look at the NY heats All4 filmed and how they compared to this derby. No one hits and these cars are insanely overbuilt. This is not a stock classic but more a kicker modified....though maybe it is stock still... idk but these are still overbuilt. Look how thin the crowd got too as this dragged on....people got bored or sick of watching this mess.....you can't tell me anyone of you watched all 85 mins of this heat too. You are lieing if you did. Props for All4 dude for pushing through this unbearably long heat film session.
The derbies suck there anymore last one i went to was completely boring! Use to be if it was down to 2 cars, you stopped it, sent them to opposite ends and had them get back to hitting!
I didn't watch it all. I agree. This guy goes to a show and brings us the footage and does awesome work. Some of the comments try to make excuses for sandbagging. I don't profess to be a demo derby expert, but, if it takes a "driver", to go forwards and backwards WITHOUT touching another car for several minutes, in an event made specifically for touching other cars, I have to admit Wal-Mart on Friday is about the same MM.
This is my hometown the pro mods are so bad the officials have to line the cars up to hit each other then the drivers don't even step on the gas most of the time the cars go down because they run out of gas
Very minor complaint. Why are almost all the cars painted black? Makes it hard to distinguish. The gold caddy and pink/tan ones stood out the most to me.
That's why events like metal mayhem have a rule that you can't have an all black car, in their words "The fans come for a show, give them one! Your car cannot be all black, must have contrasting colors if it is black."
Most boring 30 min ending. 422 should of been dqed a long time ago. And x2c should of been ejecyed after being told multiple times to hit 422 then holding. And being told to back off multiple times.
NeverBackDown its driving to win fella when there’s that much money on the line after they dumped 20k or more into a car at the end of the day they want that check not everybody has the time to build and junk something trust me santel and highley are two of the best
Cam White I understand but when it becomes only about the money then it’s not worth doing. It’s just like every other sport. Spectators don’t go to any sporting event because they care about how much money the individual or team is going to win or get paid. People don’t watch football because they like how much someone makes they watch it because of the actual game itself and the same for every other sport. That’s the reason ratings have been dropping for all sports cause there wanting to change EVERYTHING to be only about the money and derbies are going more and more in that direction. Back in the day the promoters would not put up with this type of driving but because 28 of 30 cars is out there chasing the money it creates a giant pool of spectators and sponsors all the while the promoters and drivers forget that without the spectators the derbies would not be the same that’s why most derbies this year got canceled because of no spectators no money and it’s all about the money!
Does anyone understand how much time and money they have into these cars and how much moneys on the line , no shit there not gonna go out there and junk there car with there 5 grand motor, also do you realize that its basic derbying to take smart hits instead of dumb hits 🤣🤣

I live about 8 miles from this track it is nothing but clay there is so little traction the tractors and the compacts do the best but yes I agree

These are not kicker cars. If they were everyone's front end would still be straight. These cars aren't even running engine protectors.
