- Billy Bat is a manga by Naoki Urasawa and Takashi Nagasaki. It involves a prophetic cartoon bat, JFK, Jesus, Einstein, the Moon Landing, and much more. It's also a masterpiece.
#manga #billybat
This manga has no chance of getting localized LMAO
yep😢
what the fuck, I started Billy Bat 3 days ago and finished it yesterday and now I find out you made a video about this, I guess the Bat finds a way
There wasn't a second shot that killed jfk it was a parasitic worm that he caught while cheating on his wife and when he got shot it spooked the worm so it booked it as fast as possible which killed him
I’m currently reading monster, I am absolutely loving and this video made me convinced that billy bat should be next manga I should read
Thanks Fither 👍
Since you mentioned it, I would absolutely recommend checking out Monster. Just finished reading it about a month back, and it was phenomenal.
I haven't read Billy Bat yet, but you should definitely read more of Urasawa's works. 20th Century Boys and Monster are in my top 10 favorite mangas and both are amazing, 20th Century has a very strong focus on 20th Century culture and art, and Monster portrays very well how the situation was in East/West Germany after its division post-WW2.
I absolutely need to hear another video going indepth on this manga. Its barely talked about at all
Billy Bat being your first Urasawa manga is like your first experience with music being Death Grips. His other stuff is absolutely incredible as well, but Billy Bat stands out the most to me as having the most out-there concept.
I got to know this manga for the thumbnail and only finished it yesterday, and now, I'm finally seeing this video. Great work, Grassy Knoll Nick!
If you like Naoki Urasawa, I cannot recommend Master Keaton enough. It’s kind of a ‘mystery of the week’ procedural, but with an archaeologist professor/insurance investigator as the lead.
I don’t want to say too much, but I hope you give it a shot since Master Keaton tends to get overlooked a bit from what I’ve found.
Thanks a lot, Grassy Knoll Nick! That’s a very cool manga, ngl
Urasawa's works can be described as humanistic. His characters have that quality about them.
Yoooo, I found this on a sketchy scanlation site years ago and it always stuck with me, great to see others talking about it, it is so hard to explain all the turns the manga takes but I love it so much. I know it won't get one because reasons but I still hold out hope for an official release someday
My favorite conspiracy theory is that everything's going to be alright.
who the hell is grassy knoll nick
Damn I gotta read this
Bruh this dropped the same exact day I found out about the Jfk shooting game
I definitely recommend monster, it's a fantastic drama mystery and while I only watched the anime, it's still great, hard recommend.
Also, I don't really have any conspiracy theories, though the one that comes to mind, not sure if anyone else has the same idea, but I just watched a video by this guy, Manga nick, idk, he sounds alot like this fither guy I know of, pretty weird conspiracy, huh?
You should totally check out "happy!" From the same creator is pretty good
I had just finished reading this because of this video and it's quickly risen to my top 5 manga of all time.
This was an absolutely incredible journey, and I think Kevin Goodman might end up being one of my favorite manga protagonists ever. What a ride.
My favorite conspiracy theory is that Grassy Knoll Nick and Shoujo Nick are the same person
Crazy how you didn’t mention Michael Jackson is the 2nd main protag
Billy bat is 100% mickey mouse. I get the feeling that hes batman but detective mickey mouse is LITERALLY A THING. I remember reading them as a kid and yes, it was in fact mickey mouse in a more mature tone.
Weekly mickey mouse was a thing too
