Two years earlier IU did two songs, one named 'I'm 23' playing an idol princes role in a K-drama, and a couple months later '23' her own song talking about where her head was at at that age.
This song is part of her age series, that includes the song 23 and Eight. She just released a video clip of the opening song of her 2 day concert at the Seoul Olympic Stadium, The Golden Hour: Under The Orange Sun, with song Eight. She became the 1st soloist to perform at the Olympic Stadium, where 90,000 tickets were sold in 30 minutes with 450,000 people still waiting in the queue. And this concert was a level that only IU's creativity and talent could do.
This is what separates IU most of kpop idols, her artistry. since she started to take control of her own career she has been free to express herself no matter the norms. She broke free from the mainstream and created her own standards which will set the standards for all others to follow. Been a long time fan of IU. She's been through a lot growing up and starting her career as a solo singer amidst hundreds of kpop groups so she's had so many inhibitions. Palette is the proof of her maturity and her amazing talent as a songwriter. She became an adult when she finally accepted that yes you can't make everyone like you that's why you have to love yourself and those that actually likes you. This song is a also a proof that a story need not be extravagant to be worth telling it just have to be told right. I love the composition and organization of this song, I call this "the all along the watchtower of kpop".😆🤩
Yes this song is so breezy, sweet, and comfortingly honest. I loved this era from her, but I also love her debut era stuff which is very different. "Lost Child," "Good Day," "You & I," "Red Shoes"
I really appreciate IU & G-Dragon Doing this song together❤️ I like it! Its very relatable! & at the same time it also helps you to boost your self esteem👍☺️
