@pricesmith8450 ssw made the meta we know of today. They were ahead of their time. Only shame is they all split up due to the changes of the lack changing quite a few policies and China offering big contracts to import many Koreans. If they stood together, Korea wouldn't have looked so weak at the start of 2015. Because man that first half of that year was lmao. (Get Tigers #1 like seed losing to fcking TSM of all times at IEM... that shit still stings to this day lmao.) But honestly a what if scenario. I would have loved to have seen ssw fighting skt in 2015. A match up we never got sadly.
Actually, it was all of them. Not only Faker or Wolf. That set by would was immaculate then Fakers ball placement for the shockwave was equally as good then Huni's follow up as well.
I actually hear many people these days blame Meiko for not being able to react to Wolf's Rakan engage when he has Janna ult and flash (their reasons being because he too is considered one of the best supports who is on Wolf's level, he is therefore expected to be able to react to everything thrown at him). To begin with, the vision set up around that engage is already picture perfect so that it's really difficult for EDG to even see it comming, and Wolf's mechanic in that teamfight was also abusrdly smooth and quick; meanwhile you also have Huni from another side flashing in for the Cho' Gath silence so that no one can press their spells. You put any other support from that tournament in Meiko's position (whether it's Ming, GorrillA, or CoreJJ, I mean you can even put Keria from 2022 in his place), they'd fail to react to Wolf just the same. I'm pretty sure from Meiko's PoV there was no one showing up on the map, and the next sec, a Rakan just blinked into his face out of nowhere.
That might be precisely what happened. Rakan's ult during that time has no initial cast delay as we have today. When he press ult that time, the ult activates instantly. Meiko could have seen the Rakan, but even then there is no ult YET. So when they saw the Twitch out of invis, Rakan REW'ed in the fight instantly locking Janna out of the fight, then the Silence of Cho and Shockwave of Ori finished their hopes.

J4: 2900 + 2425 + 1100 + 450 + 400 + 300 = 7575
Ori: 2900 + 2900 + 1100 + 850 + 400 + 150 = 8300
Twitch: 3400 + 2600 + 1100 + 850 + 800 = 8750
Rakan: 2300 + 1900 + 900 + 800 + 150 = 6050
Team total: 38625
Rumble: 3100 + 2900 + 1100 + 850 + 400 = 8350
Rek'Sai: 2425 + 2200 + 1200 + 1100 + 450 = 7375
Lucian: 3400 + 3000 + 1300 + 1200 + 1100 = 10000
Xayah: 3400 + 3400 + 2600 + 1100 + 450 = 10950
Janna: 2300 + 2100 + 1900 + 450 + 300 = 7050
Team total: 43725
