Johnnie, I have grown up, like so many, listening to you on the radio and being influenced by the varied music you play. Your Sounds of the Seventies are a key part of my listening today as the 70s were my informative years, and your knowledge of the era bring back such fond memories. Mine and Sheila’s thoughts and love are with you and Tiggy as you face this health journey. God bless you, sir, you are a true legend.
Thank you for message glad you called in to say hello, I found it all very moving wishing you both happiness x tiggy please look on Facebook there's a page DJ JW .
Johnny I have listened to you from the beginning. Your voice perfect for Radio I just loved listening to you. So sorry to hear such sad news. I pray you do not suffer too much. Hang on as long as you can. Biggest hugs. Cathy from Cheshire

Johnnie I was so sad to hear the news. You were one presenter that inspired me to get into radio. I will never forget our meal out with the late Mike Ahern. From then on, when you used to see me, you would always call me “you old bastard”. The time you danced with my then Fiancé at a Yellow Submarine promotion. Johnnie, the Great Spirit will look after you. See you on the other side. I am sure we will meet again in another lifetime. Barry
