I am literally crying. This song saved me and my best friends life. We were (are) going through depression, and this song has helped us tremendously. When it says "it feels like tomorrow, is just to far away" I can't help but to burst into tears. Because I feel this every day. I LOVE OF MICE AND MEN. They truly care, and relate to what is going on in their fan's lives.

Jayme Roth The odds that this music, that came out this year, saved 2 people's lives who I'm guessing are minor are very very low. People say the stupidest thigns to grab attention but this might not even be one of them. I just believe these people don't really know what they're going through and go on the 'bands save lives' wagon. That take the impact out of depression, which ends up hurting even more the people that go through it.

This song saved my life... And No I'm not a 12 year old fan girl.. I'm a 21 year old full time employee & college student. My 2 best friends got killed in a car accident 2 months ago.. I was suppose to be there that night... I was the one who called them to tell them to come over to my house.. I have to live the rest of my life with that on my shoulders.. I just got out of a mental hospital and am getting healthy again. Music does save lives.. This song did not necessarily "save me" but it gives me hope and that's enough to get me through the day..
IK I'm late reading this... but my condolences. Just know that it is not your fault what happened. IK there's survivor's guilt... I hope you're pulling through Better,now-a-days. And I absolutely agree. Music does save lives,and give hope. I'm 17 (almost 18) dealing with Anxiety and it's so difficult some days. This song helps so much. When I was 13 - 15 I was Severely depressed & had Suicidal thoughts & was self-harming. I was 16 when I first found this song,and I remember crying to it,from the relief of comfort & Closure I found & Still find in it.
I can't fathom how difficult it must be for you some days... But I'm saying,we all struggle.. big,small & in between. We all find one another & help each other. So I'm sending you all the positive vibes & love. Take it easy friend.

I mysef haven't experienced such greef and agony. So i can't relate in the same way. It must be hard. But i believe you'll become stronger and maybe help others that are in the same circumstances. This song helped get me through the worst depression I’ve experienced so far in life and literally helped save my life. Now I can honestly listen to it and say I’m glad that I listened to his words and I’m glad I didn’t let go, because time does heal.
too many let their depression take hold. ive been lucky enough to save some friends from the same fate but some peoples minds are made long before they make a choice.
ive batteled with it in life too but one day i just kinda realized. why worry about the things you can do nothing about. concentrate and worry on the things you can change and life will become so much easier. before you know it problems dont even phase you anymore because nothing is looming overhead. its just rolling with the punches at that point. new problems you face are easy compared to being a prisoner of your own mind.

I relate to this entire album and this song in general reminds me of when I have a mental breakdown followed by a panic attack. And the video just adds to the effect of the song and what the song means. This music video is exactly how I would describe my mental breakdowns/panic attacks.

I have mental breakdowns from keeping things in and my panic attacks are usually because I'm afraid of dying and I haven't had panic/anxiety disorder my whole life. It started after I lost my best friend to suicide. And I always have flashbacks to my past and that's where the mental breakdowns and panic/anxiety attacks come from. My friends have been helping me so much for the past two years and I couldn't be any more thankful for that. Thank you for your concern. It means a lot.

I have a lot of things that keep me alive and their music is what helps me get my mind back together and in order and Restoring Force has helped me do just that and it tells me that I'm not the only one who's gone through shit and that I'm okay and it's getting better. So what I mean by when I say they are what keeps me alive, I mean they are my reminders that I'm okay and things are going to get better and I'm not the only one in this. Those 3 things are what's keeping me alive. The reassurance of those things is what keeps me going.

Of Mice & Men saved my life so many times. Once, when my aunt had cancer, I heard a voice whisper in my ear saying "ur not aloen, ur with me." I turned around and Austin "The Other Jesus" Carlile was standing right behind me. I knew he would come. I had been praying to Lord Carlile for years. He cared so much that he decided to stop signing the shirts of 12 year old fangirls at Warped Tour to come save my aunts life. But then.. He summoned every scene hardcore dancer within 10 miles. Then their most br00tal breakdown from their song "Ur Not Aloen" started playing, and they spin kicked my aunt back to life. Thank you Austin, thank you. You are the only member that matters.
This is the exact reason why Of Mice & Men are my Favorite band. They put so much dedication, emotion, and heart into ever song they write and preform,etc. They give us hope and show us that WE ARE NOT ALONE! Thank you guys for making this music and for being the band you are.

What's with all of this nagging about 12 year olds? Life is hard. The world is an evil place. Homes are broken, hearts are broken. Preteens are now pressured to have sex. Your age does not determine your pain in life. Everyone has it and will continue to have it, some just start earlier. All we should care about is trying to make the world a better place for them.

I usually listen to much more extreme musical proposals. But at my age labels don't matter to me anymore. The best thing is to listen to the music that makes us better people and above all, freer. No matter the style of rock or metal. Everything forms a whole. There are already enough taboos or fronts in this increasingly totalitarian world for music to be one more reason to end up at that stupid starting point. I respect.

I think it's funny actually because I was diagnosed with depression at the age of 9, (I'm not attention seeking, just putting it out there for the statement I'm making,) and I've been dealing with it ever since but, this song really helps me & then there are these people commenting on this video saying that 12 & 13 year olds are too young to even know what depression is and that this song can't save lives when in reality, Of Mice & Men's music has helped me more than actually talking to somebody but, that's just my opinion.
I have Clinical Depression, Asperger's and some other bs.. I honestly struggle to see why music can aid in a person's life.. But, y'know.. Whatever.

"I'm afraid that tomorrow is just to far away" , this line speaks to me in more ways than one. But the biggest one being that as I let go of yesterday and today, I'm afraid that I don't have the strength to return to some things that are very important in my heart but who knows what the future holds. So come tomorrow I could already be long gone.
It really means a lot to me that my favorite bands music video came out on my birthday. And also the fact that the setting is at a beach which is my favorite place to be. Not to mention the meaning behind the song...

When this album only came out I was so dissapointed, it sounded so much "worse" than The Flood and I never even gave a chance to listen more than 1 track from this album back then.
Now, more than 10 years have passed, the band had changed, I have changed, and I'm glad I can return now to this absolute masterpiece album and listen it on repeat. Especially this track.

This song reflects the emotions you feel when the things you love are taken from you crushing your one release as well as your dreams surrounding the one thing that keeps you sane. Where do you go when everything you love is gone with no telling when it’ll return. Do u wait? Do u change? Do u just start destroying everything in sight and create that eternal fire you feel in the real world. I just hope I can heal and get back to what I love because this pain is getting repetitive yet it still hurts just as bad as day one

I don't know if you believe in God but from my experience in life from once being on a path of reckless self destruction from finally hitting the bottom, God has a plan for us all and all we need to do is believe in Him. For God hears the words you don't. He sees how they act when you aren't there. So, he made moves you couldn't so that you blossom into the best you can be. It might seem callous of me to say all that. I have faith in you to grow and realize that though it hurts, you'll grow not only stronger but more importantly wiser. But as the saying goes if you love it/them let them go and if they love you they won't go but stay by your side through thick and thin. So from someone who genuinely knows your struggle, stay strong and focused in this beautiful journey called life. You'll do great things and can even change someone's life or mind just by being in their lives. I hope everything goes well for you and I hope that this helped.
That Patriotic Patriot I didn’t lose someone I more lost a part of myself I was a skilled athlete and the gym was my life, I had and still have dreams and aspirations surrounding my sport but one injury stops it all immediately. It kinda sucks going from the best physical version of yourself to a version that can barely move an arm still after 2 years.
That Patriotic Patriot I’m an atheist but if religion helps you find peace and clarity as well as a sense that you know your on the right path then I support it. I get that trauma makes you stronger I was already quite strong willed but after going through this shit I know I’m gonna be a monster in the best of ways when I get back to what I love.
